We stayed 4 nights at this hostel and could easily have stayed longer. It is beautiful, clean and comfortable in a great location. We loved the view over the river and mountains. The courtyard is lovely and the breakfast really tasty with good choices. Communication beforehand was prompt and informative and Eric was super friendly and helpful (and spoke English!!), we also loved his banana cake! Paraty is a wonderful place, lots of nice restaurants and you never tire of the scenery, setting or architecture. The islands and beaches all around are stunning. It is very safe and people are very friendly. We ate at Prosa, Pero, Benditas and Arte e Sabor - all brilliant. We would love to return one day and can whole heartedly recommend Casa do Rio.
