Hotel Lutetia, Paris

Paris|0.98km from Wadja
We had the complete pleasure of staying at this mind boggingly AMAZING hotel over spring break this year, four nights in total. We are a family of four (17 yr old son 14 yr old daughter), and all of us were completely blown away by the level of attention, committment to excellence, beauty of the facilities and location of this incredible place. It truly is the finest hotel we've ever stayed at, with good reason. From the moment we were met at the airport (transport arranged by the hotel) in a comfortable van equipped with every phone charger you could imagine, water bottles and towels for our faces and hands, to the minute we reluctantly checked out and said our good byes, our family felt known, cared for, and completely, 100% spoiled in a ways we could not have dreamed. Everyone from the concierges and guest services team (shout out to the enthusiastic and emminently cheerful Claire!) to the housekeeping and food people who dropped treats and little touches to make us so excited to come back to the room each day...to the waiters at the Brasserie and Bar Josephine (the best cosmo I've ever had, two nights in a row and fantastic live music) we are already dreaming of returning. Many hotels are having a difficult time finding enough staff, let alone people committed to going above and beyond providing excellent service...this hotel somehow has a lock on great individuals in every department. Other highlights: bathrooms cut out of solid marble. I took five minutes one morning trying imagine what it took to fabricate the sinks and bathtub out of solid stone and then get them into all the rooms. Mind blown. Fantastic water pressure from both the shower and bath. Sheets and pillows and beds that allowed all of us to sleep soundly every night. Both children said it was the best night's sleep they'd ever had away from home. Top of the line electronics and room organization...everything is automatic with lights (we didn't touch a switch in four days, I came home and told my husband what a ”drag” it was to have to actually turn my lights on. lol), and air conditioning/heat/curtains are all controlled from handy control wall panels in each room. Small touches in the closets of things you might have forgotten, lots of drawers and space to unpack and stay organized. The pool and spa is breathtaking, make sure to leave time to enjoy it! It truly is a five star hotel in every element imaginable. I cannot recommend Hotel Lutetia any higher. You will not regret it.

A la Villa des Artistes

This hotel bigger rooms compared to the previous hotel we stayed at and had a bath tub! It is in a quiet area; not so much partying at night. It had a lot of restaurants nearby- pricier though. an Italian restaurant next door. Breakfast available for a fee. It had a train station nearby. It was closer to Bon Marche. and on the opposite direction had a C&A (a nicer equivalent of GAP); Burger King; 2 grocery stores nearby. If you walk across the Main Street, there's another area that has more restaurants. Lots of drugstores. I think You can't go wrong in Paris. very nice and clean. they wash the sidewalk at night. The gardens are beautiful.
Hotel des Academies et des Arts

The hotel is good, but the room is quite small, the rooms with balconies are on the first floor, and the street view is not seen by the wall. The toilet is quite open, and the door on the left side of the bed leads to the toilet. There is a room under the TV to put things, it is a table and chair. I don't know if it is a common problem in Paris hotels, the floor is not soundproof. The hotel is also very old to open the door with a key. The front desk is good and will be a little English. There is a subway bus not far from here, and it is very convenient to travel. But I think the price cp value is not high.
Le Chaplain Paris Rive Gauche

We stayed in this amazing hotel late is Sept 25th until the 29th and had room 1 , off the courtyard. From Check in, we were made very welcome , explained where everything was and then shown to our room. It was stylish, well appointed and spotless clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly , the rooms all have coffee machines, large bathrooms, good spacious wardrobes with plenty of hanging space and a safe. The bed, oh my god, the best BED ,we have had anywhere, and as made keen travelers we have stayed is some amazing hotels, but Hotel Le Chaplin is certainly in out top 5 and very close to the top. its about 150 meters from the subway,(Line 4), and being in the Riva Gauche area, a fantastic location with excellent restaurants and bar. The hotel is off the main road down a small street that is very quite. Would I recommend this hotel? MOST CERTAINLY, from the excellent friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, well appointed rooms and the best beds anywhere, you will zone out, relax and feel well rested and raring to explore this amazing city. We go to Paris several times a year and this was the first time in this hotel and we will certainly go back and its a must if you are in Paris. The connections with the subway are close and easy, the facilities in the hotel and around the hotel are stunning. Go spoil yourself and stay at this lovely hotel.
Hotel Danemark

I have been a customer at the Danemark hotel for over 20 years. Obviously, because of Covid, I didn’t go during the last two years until Americans were allowed into France again. It was a great pleasure to reconnect. Jean, the owner, was there, with his permanent smile, making sure everything was according to my wishes. I love the Danemark hôtel for many objective reasons, though: - the location, between St Germain, Montparnasse and the Latin Quarter - the size of the hotel: 15 rooms, each tastefully decorated unlike any other - the price point - the cleanliness and freshness of the sheets and towels - hundreds of nearby restaurants fir every taste and every budget - dozens of entertainment places, bars, night clubs, movie theaters, fashion stores - easy access to CDG or Orly airports and the 3 south Parisian railway stations - the fact that you can rent a parking space in a nearby underground secured parking garage at a reasonable price.

Montparnasse
My usual hotel was booked for the first half of my work trip so I thought I would try this nearby hotel. I’m sure the hotel is lovely…. If you are not in a Standard room. I booked it knowing it would be on the smaller side but I was on the top floor and had only a small attic window, which made it seem claustrophobic. It was hot, even with the A/C on and verged almost on the unbearable. Again, I am sure it is lovely if you are on a lower floor or larger room. I can only judge based on my experience.
Atelier Vavin Hotel - Paris Montparnasse

We were here two nights in March I had booked the suite , room 62 at the sixth floor. It is a boutique hotel. Reception very small but very clean. Lift small, with baggage we turned up. The hall is not available and when the lift is opened you are in front of the room. On the sixth floor only 2 rooms. This is a wonderful room, without moquettes (a rarely in Paris) and wide. Excellent cleaning and daily dressing exchange. The hotel has a very comfortable bed, both our sofa and the baby's sofa. In the next streets (the studio of Modigliani, gauguin workshop, artist workshop, etc.), a magical way to make dreams. nice staff. The walker was always left down to them, even the baggage the last day.
