We booked this hotel as the Hotel Leon was full. Part of the family stayed there and 4 of us in the Admiral. Much to our suprise we had a much more spacious room and both Sea views when the other were both facing a wall despite the higher star rating and price. Arrival- During the summer you cannot park within the town, you park on the outskirts and call reception who will send someone with a buggy, which is what we did. This can be difficult when you have no way of calling for the buggy late at night when we arrived however the parking attendant called, not a first great impression as 2 of us had to walk due to not getting picked up. Check in- Up on the first floor a very small reception but enough. A fob is given to let yourself in the main door after 00:00. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor. Large double bed and a sofa bed parted by a wall which was great for us as we had a bed each. Small fridge in room and 2 windows with shutters and windows that fully open. Breakfast- OK, very basic, 1 server each morning but amazing views of the bay you can sit in the sun or shade. Free bread and a choice from the menu with either a fruit bowl or croissants as additional. Room- Size was great and bathroom was modern and well lit with small window. The maid came each day to do the basics however the floors were not cleaned which needed it and a large fresh towel would have been nice as we were there for a few nights. The bathroom door did not close, which we did advise the lovely lady on reception however this was not fixed. Area- Within the town you have a number of restaurants all with the same sea/meat options but at different levels, all within 5/7 minute walk along the shore. Visit Conte restaurant was the best. A market is around the corner for toiletries and drinks/water. Local bus to Kotor you can get for 2 euro return. Walk left out of the hotel. up to the top of the town for the blue line bus which leaves every hour. Ask reception they are very kind and knowledgable.

The Hotel Admiral , is a family run business and from when we arrived we were made to feel part of it , nothing was too much trouble , the food was good ,service wonderful and the room was spotless with an amazing view. I would recommend wholeheartedly. The clientele here were quite different at times and residents were prioritised, in terms of seating in the restaurant (correctly in my opinion) this sometimes caused a little friction with passers by . This I guess could produce some negative reviews but don’t fall for it . Treat the staff with the respect and kindness theydeserve and it will come back to you 3 fold.

Walking past all the places on the waterfront, this place caught my eye, as it had grilled octopus, which i do love! The girl we talked to was very engaging and friendly and we decided to come back there for our meal later. The setting is lovely and is just across the tiny waterfront roadway from the hotel itself, so we sat right next to the bay as it lapped up to the platform - very nice. I did order the grilled octopus, which was indeed nice, although I wouldn't say it was outstanding. The wife had sea bass, which was tasty but they seem to leave their fish on the bone in Montenegro, so that rather detracted from her enjoyment of it. Pleasant place to eat and friendly staff, food OK but not the best we'd had on our stay locally.

Just returned from Montenegro, where we stayed at the Admiral Hotel. The hotel is really beautiful with exceptionally helpful, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable and the views from our balcony (and the restaurant) were wonderful. A really lovely hotel and area to stay. Taxis, local bus services and ATMs within easy access. Would recommend that cash is taken as lots of places prefer that to cards. A big thank you to the Admiral Hotel.

Tricky one, this. Super location, super room with balcony overlooking kotor Bay, super attention from the management, brilliant breakfast. Crumbling infrastructure with dodgy hot water, a/c and shower. All in all, we loved the place despite the practical issues and we appreciated the best efforts of the proprietor to make things work.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in August and wish we could have stayed for longer. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the second we arrived until we left. We had help with our luggage and a lift to meet a taxi at the end. Our room was lovely and light and had everything we needed. It was large and the 2 air cons were a bonus. It’s worth noting that this was the attic of the property so ceilings were sloped. If you’re tall it might not be the best room for you (I’m 5’10 and had to watch my head in certain places). Breakfast was included and was fine. Not a lot of choice but you could have any drink you wanted. The view from the restaurant is amazing and a great start to the day. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I are spending a week in Montenegro, based in Perast, and have eaten at a few of the restaurants already. We were looking forward to eating at the Admiral as we walk past it daily, but I wish we hadn’t have bothered. We were seated at a table that hadn’t been laid (except for the table cloth) and the waiter was bringing items out one by one and laying them. We were offered a bread basket (without being told we’d have to pay 80c for it), but didn’t get given any butter, a side plate or knife. When I asked for these items I was greeted with a rude “yes, yes, yes”, and the butter took an age to arrive. Our main meals took 20 mins to arrive which isn’t unreasonable but we ordered a steak and fries, and a plate of spaghetti…so we wouldn’t have expected them to take this long. The spaghetti portion was also tiny for the price it was. At the end of the meal our waiter walked past our table, looking at our empty plates, at least three times but didn’t stop to clear up. There were other members of waiting staff nearby who had noticed but seemed reluctant to clear up - even when we requested it, and asked to see the dessert menus. We were given the menus, but plates were still not cleared. Eventually our waiter (after wishing the couple on the next table goodbye after a VERY lengthy conversation) asked us if we’d like any dessert. I asked about the selection of ice creams, at which point he got distracted talking to somebody else and then turned back and abruptly said “vanilla and chocolate”. We’d had enough and didn’t want to waste another cent or minute in the place so just requested the bill. At the end the waiter sensed my displeasure and asked if everything was ok. It was insulting that he even had to ask that, but we explained everything. He just shrugged his shoulders and didn’t say anything. The cats hanging about the restaurant were 100x more attentive than our waiter. The name on our bill reads Rajko Markovic (though we’re aware this might not be him, and he could have been using a colleague’s login) but he wouldn’t confirm if this was him or not. So i’d just advise to avoid the restaurant altogether. There are many more restaurants on the water - all at similar price points but with MUCH friendlier waiting staff.
