I booked a double room with a sea view two months ago and was looking forward to our holiday. A deposit had been taken from my bank account, but I did not receive a confirmation of my booking. I had to ask for it via email. Pictures on their website looked amazing, but the reality was very different. The reception staff was the first disappointment. No smile, no hospitality. It did not change all the time, we felt like somebody who was not welcome. We booked a half board because we did not want to search for restaurants nearby. Breakfasts were poor, the same all seven days. Toast bread, two kinds of ham, one kind of cheese, sausages, scrambled eggs, and tomatoes. Sweet breakfast was various, very good croissants and other sweet cakes. Poor offer of fruit - apples, oranges, apricots, only twice a watermelon, no vegetables, only tomatoes. You could have only one coffee, the second one was paid for. The biggest disappointment - dinner. It was served in a restaurant nearby despite their claim that dinner is in their hotel restaurant (see their website). They also claim ”For everyone, soft drinks are unlimited using the beverages dispenser in the restaurant”. We had to pay for each drink, including water, and the beverage dispenser was available only during breakfast. We even had to visit a reception to pick up tickets for breakfast and dinner every day, which was humiliating in 2024. The room was small, but ok. Nice balcony, but there was nothing to hang wet clothes on. Fortunately, we brought a clothesline and pegs from home. The bathroom was old-fashioned, shower box was only for slim people. What was a pro, was a cleaning staff and air conditioner - it worked very well. In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay, but will not visit this hotel anymore.

Ho trovato per caso questo B&B cercando su Google, incuriosita dalle ottime recensioni e dalle camere ho contattato Tony. Ho trovato subito, durante la chiamata, una persona deliziosa, gentilissima e cortese che ci ha ospitato nella sua struttura. Per noi è stato l’appoggio per una sola notte (come tappa di rientro dalla vacanze) ma se fossi stata prima a conoscenza del posto non avrei avuto dubbi sul risceglierlo. Tony ci ha aspettati e accolti nonostante fosse ora di cena, e anche durante il tragitto per Pescara è stato molto carino nel chiederci come stesse andando il viaggio. Camera super pulita, arredata in maniera impeccabile, con tutti i confort del caso (per dire, in camera c’era una ciotolina con delle caramelle). Lo spazio colazione ricco di tantissimi cibi dolci e salati (insieme a macchinetta del caffè e a utensili vari) è sempre accessibile durante il giorno. Tony ci ha anche fornito indicazioni su dove andare a cena, dove parcheggiare ecc… insomma un’host impeccabile. È stato davvero un piacere soggiornare qui! Grazie!

Totally hate the staying here, it ruined my hollyday even from the begining. So: I made a reservation from Romania for 2 persons : me and my daughter and they asked for a 2night deposit (even if they advertise as not necessary). Anyway, I paid for the deposit and when I got at the property, I was told I need to pay for the whole staying in advance…weird but I agreed with that. I was assured that my 246 euros (the initial deposit) would be returned in one day or two. 5 days later ane I still don’t have my money back. The toilet broke while I was there asked for it to be repairted, the shower was horrible and the walls dirty. What really bothers is the attitude from the reception which is totally unfriendly…I could say hostile. This is not what I paid for and never will ome back here ciiihhh 😥😥😥 What is really good is the cleaning personnel: very friendly, impeccable work: everyday cleaning is perfect even though I didn ask for some of it it was realized as it should be. 🙏🏻 Breakfast was poor: I had fresh vegetables in one single occasion and in some other occasions I had the feeling it was the dinner from the previous day…not happy at all

We just stayed at the Villa Maria Hotel & Spa for 1 night and had a great experience. It was the first time ever being in Francavilla al Mare and we are so happy that we chose this place. The location was great as we were without a car. The taxi ride to and from the Pescara train station was only 10 minutes. Also, we enjoy walking. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach in Francavilla al Mare and all of the restaurants, shops there—very easy to do. The room was clean, very spacious and I do recommend a view of the water—absolutely incredible. We loved our balcony. The property itself is very hidden and quiet. The hotel is very nice, kept very well and the breakfast was delicious. The entire staff at the Villa Maria is very accommodating and attentive to our every need—thank you to everyone working there! Upon our return to that area, we will definitely stay at the Villa Maria Hotel again. I highly recommend!

We booked this hotel for 9 nights, from August 18, 2023 to August 27, 2023. In the first night an extremely noisy event (which we understood from the Reception when we complained is a DAILY event between 20:00-24:00) from the nearby hotel. No one from the hotel warned us about this. Also, this was not mentioned in the description of the hotel on the website. When we talked about this at the reception, they did not offer any solution. They knew about this problem. They said that they will try to give us another room in a few days, but an worse room that the one we paid for. We checked out the next day. The other negative aspects which are misleading in the description are: Wifi is very poor, room is too small for queen size bed (the balcony door hit the bed, bedside table furniture missing on the balcony side of the bed, balcony without privacy separators, fish smell on staircase at the day of our arrival very scarce breakfast (the day at our checkout and departure). During the breakfast, waiting in line for somebody to slice cheese and ham, waiting in line for somebody to prepare eggs. (Nobody there for the 20 minutes we took breakfast). It seems that Sea Lion Hotel retained the Covid 19 restrictions which benefit their side and limit tourists services, fitness and Spa are out of work, but they marketed it as they offer these sevices. This hotel is a 3 hotel at best, not as it is listed, as a 4 hotel with a rate of 190 euro/night!!! Of course, they don't want to reimburse the money. We booked a half-pense week in this hotel and we found ourselves very good. The hotel staff is very friendly and available, from the reception boys to the garbage (in particular Ermelinda, very nice and nice), and to the cleaners. Fantastic food, very rich breakfast and dinner/lunch made up of meals and boards buffet, first, second and sweet.Very good also the restaurant open only for lunch with paper menu and accessible to all bathrooms, as well as poker. At night, the “Abruzzo typical dinner” is often organized with all the region's typical products, both meat and fish. A 24-hour reception and parking available in the courtyard of the hotel (even the pay-pay garage). Tip: If you have a light sleep, ask not to be set in the rooms that look at the railway, even if it has not caused any problem to us. The hotel is directly on the beach. The club card (€35.00 per person) allows you to access the hotel pool (advice to carry the cuffy) and the hairdryer with a bed and a bed. The facility also provides sea chairs and shoes. Sandy beach, clean sea, where it is very pleasant to take long walks and bathrooms. One note: “the security officer” - as he likes to call himself - is a little bit superb to colleagues, we have seen a poor scene, but we must always be patient. The hotel is obviously super recommended!
