Petra was an amazing experience for us. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful place. The Nomad Hotel is pretty strategically located near the Petra Visitor Centre, provided you have a car or someone is driving you. It's still a walkable distance but on the way back it can be strenuous as you have to climb uphill to where the hotel is located. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room was not really spacious so we had to manage a bit with our large suitcases. But the bed was comfy and we had a good sleep. The view from the rooftop was fantastic. Breakfast was adequate, nothing too fancy but it served its purpose. There is a resident dog called Lucy who is very friendly.

Pros: Clean, great view as it’s on the top of the mountain
Disadvantage: Located at the top of the mountain. The slope seems to be 30 degrees. It takes 10 minutes to go down, and more than 20 minutes to go up. It costs 3 Jordan from the main gate of Petra to the hotel.

Breakfast was 6 Jordan and there was nothing to eat, just food with cilantro in it.
You can eat at the restaurant in the neighborhood below the mountain, but I ate at the Gwichana Hotel up the road.
The bottom line is that if you don't have a rental car, taxi fares will cost more than lodging.
