I don't usually write any reviews, but for the sake of the next victims, I feel the needs to do so. Here is my recommendation - avoid this hotel at all costs. I have been staying at a lot of hotels over the years so I know what an acceptable hotel should be like. I had no choice but to stay at this hotel because of the government's quarantine requirement when entering the country. In addition to making me pay extra for no reason but to scam me (i,e they purposely didn't tell me to check out on time at 12pm even though I was allowed out way before that, they made sure that I stayed pass 12pm and citing that it was 1pm I must pay extra, they were holding my passport at the time so I had no choice) Now let's get to the horrible services that they provided. The two weeks of staying at that hotel proved that the services are helpless. I had requested a no interruption daily but the result were โinterruptionsโ daily. So my sleeping quality was awful. The bed sheet was itchy, the washroom was extremely gross, the room was small, the AC remote doesn't work, the room supplies were next nothing, no daily coffee or tea. Furthermore, I had to call for toilet paper, napkin, towel daily as well. Apparently, the instruction of โplease refill my basic supplies dailyโ didn't click. If you have the money to spend, this should be the last choice when there is no more hotel available in the entire city. I won't go back even if I was asked to stay for free. Incredibly horrible, please avoid!

STAY AWAY. I found a USED SYRINGE (hypodermic NEEDLE used for injecting HEROIN and other ILLEGAL DRUGS) in my room. It wasnโt hidden either, it was in plain sight โ no idea how their staff missed it but it shows there is serious criminal activity going on here. And also if their basic cleaning is that bad, do you really think the sheets etc are very clean? This is very unsanitary and not healthy! When I tried to talk to the front desk they just wanted to argue about it. The manager especially was very rude to me and told me it was โokโ. NO IT IS NOT OK. Donโt typically stay with the Hyatt Brand, but the Hyatts in Asia have been amazing! The room here was great. Itโs wonderfully located - near the river, the Palace etc. Thatโs not the reason for this review. This review is for the STAFF. We stayed here 12 nights and each day we were met with a collection of sweet smiles. Wish we learned all their names but are glad to have connected with a few: Daily breakfast buffet were with the lovely Seavyoung and shy Srey reap - thank you for taking such wonderful care of us each morning; Sotheary was our lovely lunch companion; Sopha, a sweet little thing from the Attic; Yem from the Regency Club, thank you for our bottomless Prosecco; Dinner Staff from 55, lovely Leakana and her team; Last, but certainly not least, Fariza, sweet darling, thank you for singing us romantic songs; Eric, one of the managers, love your contagious energy. Five Stars accommodations and amenities are pretty much the same, what separates them is the team of people who enhances your stay. For the entitled reviewers / visitors who expect perfect Englishโฆ. Howโs your Cambodian!?!

We stayed at the Caravan Hotel during our business trip to Phnom Penh. The hotel is new and equipped with advanced and modern facilities, I appreciate the working desk and I can request pillows such as memory contour pillows for better sleep๐ My room has sufficient daylight, which I like very much with 2 corner glass windows overviewing 2 different sides of the city. The staff were very courteous and helpful, I enjoyed the city view while having my breakfast. This property is highly recommend

An unfortunate experience, I found myself in the worst situation dealing with M Residence, as on the day of my check-in, the Sale Manager Vincent neglected to inform the receptionist about my booking, and instead of booking online for a fair rate, they wanted to charge me 50 USD per night, when it was only 24 USD online. Because the receptionist was new and unfamiliar with the process, she had to validate each step with her manager. It took me 45 minutes to check-in. The whole thing felt sketchy because I had to pay 130 USD with tax instead of 72 USD online with Airbnb small tax it would have cost max 86 USD if I recall. Anyway, I paid and received a very small room with hardly working air conditioning and filthy elevator. The swimming pool was breaking apart, and it appeared that the structure was inadequately maintained. There was no pool attendant, and no PH and CL analysis of the chemicals in the pool was available. The entire establishment is a shambles, and they definitely lack hospitality skills. Anyway I shared some information about my experience with the Manager who told me โThe staff are so badโ I wanted to react and tell him that he should invest in training them but I could see there was no point in telling him has he clearly do not hold any sense of hospitality skillsโฆ The day before my departure I contact the โReceptionist Supervisorโ and asked if I should do my check out now to collect my deposit back as I leave at 5:50 am and she informed to not to worry there is 24/7 staff at the lobby. Of course, the day of my check out there was no staff at the lobby to proceed my check-out so now they are ghosting me over 30 USD refund. In addition to all of this I intended to do a collaboration with the Sales manager upon my arrival a discount or free stay over some pictures which they gladly receive but never gave me proper feedback nor a compensation. M Residence is a disgrace to the hospitality industry in Cambodia. Their unethical practices and scams are not the way to conduct business.

This place was outstanding. It exceeded my expectations. Iโm thankful that they had space for a last minute booking. I was able to book a single room, which was comfortable. The dรฉcor in the hostel resonates with a homey vibe. With a swimming pool and a bar there were chances to meet other travelers.
I would recommend this place for solo travelers or couples. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The staff can also speak a little English so the service was good during my stay.
This hostel is close to the national monument, the Royal palace and the national museum.

Probably one of the new best hotel that just opened this year in Phnom Penh. We were very impressed by our family suite. Literally huge with very modern amenities. Having 2 separated bedrooms and a large living room is a big plus. As many other reviewers we enjoyed the pool at the roof top. Do not miss the sunset. About the staff: some are very new to hospitality but you can see and feel the management are very experienced so there was no issue at all for the check in and out. The ladies at the front desk are particularly cute :)

This place has the best view in Phnom Penh. Team is extremely nice and kind, bed is comfy, room is spacious and feels like a cool studio with microvawe and water dispencer. Breakfast is good. I havent had a chance to swim but pool is very cool. However it is full of cockroaches. If one person mentioned this in their comments i wouldnt stay at this hotel. Not just one or two. I killed 15 16 teenager and 5 baby cockroaches. Didnt have a chance to meet parents. A friend of mine was staying another room and he left the hotel earlier and said there were even cockroaches in his pillow. So sad cockroaches took over the place!

Outstanding
JJustanothertravellerHotel Kvl in Phnom Penh stands out for its prime location, nestled directly beside the Royal Palace and the river, making it a prime spot for tourists looking to explore the city's historical and cultural landmarks. The hotel itself is equipped with modern and stylish furnishings, ensuring a comfortable stay. The bed was particularly comfortable and the breakfast was a highlight, being both delicious and served ร la carte, allowing for a personalized dining experience in the morning.
However, our experience took a turn when it came to the transfer service from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh. The cost of over $180 for the transfer felt exorbitant, especially given the condition of the vehicle and the service provided. Being transported in an older car, coupled with a driver who was not only unable to communicate in English but also constantly distracted by multiple ringing mobile phones, significantly detracted from our overall experience. Despite attempts to use Google Translate, communication was futile, and the incessant noise became a source of irritation.
Given the high price, our expectations for the transfer service were not met, leading us to conclude that utilizing a service like โGrabโ for a fraction of the cost would be a far better option in the future. On a more positive note, the transfer service from the hotel to the airport was priced at $20, which felt more reasonable and within acceptable limits.
Another significant issue was the noise level in our room. Situated on the top floor directly beneath the hotel's rooftop bar, the sound levels late into the night were intolerable. The booming music and lively atmosphere of the bar, while perhaps enjoyable for some, felt more like being in a nightclub than a hotel room. This was particularly unwelcome as we sought to rest and recover from the exhausting transfer earlier in the day.
In conclusion, while Hotel Kvl boasts an excellent location and modern amenities that contribute to a comfortable stay, the high cost and poor execution of the transfer service from Sihanoukville, coupled with the disruptive noise from the rooftop bar, marred our experience. Future guests would do well to consider alternative transportation options and inquire about room placement to ensure a more tranquil stay.
WWu ZQWe had a wonderful stayed at Capri. The staff are very friendly and professional. The room is clean and the beds are very comfortable. Love the pillows and blankets too.
TTW2024Opposite AEON 1 for nice shopping and eating. There are 3 AEON malls in Phnom Penh now. Tuktuk booked via an app costs 6,000 Riels to Night Market. The Reception lady is so sweet. She booked me a tuktuk and I paid by cash directly to the driver. Thank you very much. From my memory Reception staff doesnโt work from 3am to 8am. Room is large and things are made from high quality materials. I love the pool on 41th floor. Breathtaking river views and city views up there. The restaurant is on the same floor so we walked pass it to use the pool. No other guests were there when both of us swam. Pool opens from 7am. Small changing room and toilet are near the pool. Fitness Room is on 7th floor. High quality and great services. No one was there when we worked out. After the guest finishes using the walking machine and sweats, a male staff comes to wipe the machine. Very good! Towels are readily available for guests to use both in the Fitness Room and Pool. The checked in and out were smooth. They returned the 50 USD deposit in both USD and Riel. In other cities, a room like this often costs 70 USD. Here the price is very good. The building is Celeste Building opposite Sofitel and AEON and we walked through it to the next building to see SF Hotel table in the corner. Excellent value for money. Btw it was Caesar Hotel before so room amenities and towels have that brand. Room is a bit wear and tear but clean and comfortable. Air con takes a long time to cool the room as they has a cover in front of it to avoid direct air flow to the bed. Carpeted walk way from elevator to the rooms. We enjoyed our stay very much and wish to come back to swim again.
GGuest UserWhen I check in staff gave a very warm welcome and good service, changed money for me to pay the taxi, food at the cafe is delicious, bed was really comfortable as well.
GGuest UserI stayed at LCS twice during my 8 day trip to Cambodia. My room, both times, were excellent. It was clean and homey. The pool I didn't get to use, but it was nice and clean, with towels provided pool side for the guests. There was a hot tub, but the hotel was doing some renovation on that level to make the services and amenities better, and the hot tub was not available at the time. The Skybar had nice food and drink. I loved the smoothies! There was a drink provided during happy hour. The view of the river was lovely, and it was nice to sit in the garden on the roof with the breeze. The breakfast was varied with Asian and Western breakfast foods available, and you could find something for everyone. The maitre'd was very knowledgable and helpful. I think his staff were new, and while helpful, they were slow in service. But, I had gone up once earlier during the day and they were in a training. So they are working on improvement. The front desk staff were helpful and polite, helping me arrange a tour guide and drivers to the airport. There are no spa services at the hotel, but there is a spa that was recommended by the staff right around the corner, and the spa was quite nice. It is within easy walking distance to Wat Phnom and to the post office, should you wish to mail a post card during your journey. I loved my stay at the LCS Hotel.
LLouisianaGuyThis is the second time we have stayed here!
Great location! 7/11 and SMILE just on the corner!
Infinity pool is super nice with great lounge chairs!
Service is always top notch!
I just donโt like the deposit on my card. They could hold whatever currency that you have with you thatโs equivalent.
VVarelaWe were traveling in a group, we had 8 rooms booked more than a month in advance, we arrived late because our flight was deviated due to bad weather, we contacted them to notify them about it and they replied with an ok. At 2:30-3 am that we arrived they told us that there were mo rooms available. The guy in the front desk had a really terrible attitude even saying that it was not his problem, and also telling us he couldnโt find our bookings. After a while the manager came and he did find all our bookings, and he managed to help us get the first night in a neighbor hotel (which given the circumstances we had no other choice).
GGuest User+/ Ideal location and above an open supermarket 24/7, and near the Royal Palace Gardens. Clean and spacious room. Very pleasant staff and small care. -/ Noisy enough. Presence of rats in the dusts of the corridors.
JJDUBLYAWe had a few days in Phnom Penh then went to Vietnam and came back to Phnom Penh for another 4 nights and this is where we booked in. It is in a great position right in the middle of town hence we could nearly walk anywhere we wanted. Fantastic value for money including breakfast. The breakfast is very decent and it is a la carte.....with things like eggs bene, pancakes, asian breakfasts and you also get coffee, tea and juice. The room itself was very clean and the bed super comfortable. The previous place we had stayed the bed was hard as a rock. The rooms are decorated very nicely and the bathrooms are good too. You have dressing gowns etc, shampoo and soaps, fridge in the room, tissues and we had a balcony (not sure if all rooms have a balcony). The staff were always very helpful and super friendly. There is a small pool on the rooftop near the restaurant. There are only 4-5 lounge chairs but we always were able to get one when we wanted. It was never that crowded I guess because a lot of people are out and about during the day but it was so refreshing to have a pool when you came back from a day out sightseeing. There is also a coffee shop on the ground floor which is great just to grab a coffee when needed. We loved our stay at Lavanya Boutique Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend.
GGuest UserGreat location and beautiful atmosphere surrounding, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever. Food was good and great value for money. The room was clean and spacious. I hope to be back again โค๏ธ
