We arrived at 10pm, reception was closed and in darkness, not 24 hour as advertised. We walked around the pool and found the security guard sat around the corner. He was pleasant and friendly and took us to our room which was up quite a few stairs. I don’t think the hotel is suitable for anyone with mobility issues, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The room was very basic, one plug socket in the kitchen so we had to unplug the kettle to use the toaster, one teaspoon, three or four knives and forks, one pan and a frying pan, not ideal if you want to eat in but luckily we ate out every day. The following morning we decided to ask for air conditioning, the Manager was very friendly, we paid €70 for 7 days, after reading the reviews it seems the price can be anything between €7 to €10 per day not sure why? We were also asked to pay €100 security deposit in cash which would be refunded via PayPal if no damage was caused. There was also a charge for a key to the safe but we didn’t pay this as we didn’t need the safe. We asked for another spoon but this never materialised, never mind. The Manager came to our room to turn on the aircon but the batteries in the remote were running out so he said he would bring some more but never did, so it was a bit hit and miss. We were also told that the Wi-Fi wouldn’t work in the room, just in reception. Breakfast is collected from reception on a tray to eat in your room or wherever you like, this was a small cup of coffee, a glass of dilute orange, portions of butter, marmalade, jam, honey and chocolate spread, two slices of white bread and two slices of brown bread wrapped in cling film, which were mouldy when we opened them so threw them away. We didn’t bother collecting breakfast again until later in the week when we saw other guests with croissants and fruit on their trays so we collected ours and it was the same as last time apart from the bread wasn’t mouldy this time, we didn’t bother collecting it again. The view from the balcony is very nice, two chairs and a table, the table was dirty when we arrived so gave it a clean. There wasn’t anywhere to hang towels or wet clothes on the balcony because there wasn’t a clothes airer, although other balconies had them. The pool bar was closed and unused apart from by the security guard who sat there in the dark at night, which was a shame as it could have been nice. The pool area is nice but there are no sun beds or chairs so we didn’t use it. We stayed for eight days and the room wasn’t cleaned once, nor the towels or bedding changed, although the Manager told us one day they had changed a sheet? Checkout was 12 noon, the Manager asked us to write a good review on Trip Advisor as we had the best room? Not sure what the others are like. Our flight home was very late but they wanted €80 for us to keep the room for the rest of the day, so we checked out. Koutouloufari/Piskopiano is very nice, lots of nice bars and restaurants, also Analipsi is worth a visit and old to
