The novelty of the "shell phone" wore off quickly as it proved to be a terrible means of communication. The food was not that good compared to superior (and cheaper) options in town. From the photos we thought our cabana would be more private. One night we had an outdoor restaurant right next door and it also seemed to be a "cut through" for everyone else staying beachfront. Did not realize the resort was so close to the road - listening to traffic while sitting by the pool was not very relaxing. We were delighted to find we had a fridge in our cabana only to find it was crammed FULL of Coppola brand alcoholic beverages for sale. We thought this was incredibly tacky and something you might find at "Mar-a-lago." (also, I am a recovering alcoholic!) They completely forgot (or never wrote down) our breakfast order the day we were flying out and when reminded brought something we had not ordered (though they did fix it at my insistence) Upon checkout, we were charged for a wine tasting we never attended. (again, recovering alcoholic) The beach was not nearly as nice as the public beach in town. If you're into shelling out big bucks for mediocre food and service, or perhaps want to brag that you stayed at "Coppola's place" on your vacation, I suppose this place is for you. We would not stay again nor recommend Turtle Inn to anyone.
