My husband and I stayed here for 1 week. We had booked the Caldera Bay Hotel in Gerani, but very happy we were moved to this smaller hotel, with much more to do in the vacinity of the hotel. We had a one bed apartment on the ground floor,which was spacious and clean. The lovely housekeepers came every day to change the sheets, leave fresh towels and clean. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of choice and the food in the evening was fantastic too. My husband would recommend the Sea Bass, as he had it 3 times! Stella and the rest of the restaurant/bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of places to eat, drink and shop in Platanias and buses into Chania are regular too. We took the mini tain on the 7 villages trip whilst there and the tour bus around Chania. There is so much to do that we want to go back again and we will definitely choose to stay at the Caldera Bay Hotel again.

Lovely hotel with lovely rooms . Lovely staff and beautiful beach with clear warm waters , Hotel serves lovely food and the restaurants nearby are great too. We went for a friends wedding but struck gold . We liked it so much we have booked for next September .

Great stay at caldera bay.We were lucky to have a huge balcony with an amazing view of the sea. The apartment was clean (maid came every day ) AC was brillant ! Yes furniture a bit dated but we hardly spent time.in the room.Breakfast was good ,plenty to choose from . But the best part of CB was the location ...perfect location for trips, tavernas and great little shops. The fact the apartments are situated 2 min walk to the beach was amazing ...Great with the kids. Overall a brillant stay !

Very nice resort ☺️ nice and helpfull staff. Very clean.4 pools and beach, playground. very good breakfast. Amazing view from room and all hotel. In city center of Platanias, but privat and amazing for rest☺️close to shops, restaurants, taxi, buses. It was pleausure and I’ll back ☺️

Very nice resort. However, free parking was advertised - this means street parking is free if you find a space - it may be 200 metres. The single sofa-beds looked uncomfortable (we had doubles). Greek music evening was a highlight. The staff at breakfast and the pool bar were excellent.

We arrived Wednesday 4th. The transfer drops you off at the roadside, so you have to walk 5 minutes down the road to the hotel. From the first impressions it looks really nice and clean. Lady at the reception was very nice and polite. Remember you have to pay tourist pay which is €1.50 per room. The resort is very big. At the front is the breakfast area, front pool and beach view bar above. In the middle is a small entertainment area, located after is an outdoor bar with a kids pool and a 2nd swimming pool for the back apartments. Breakfast is self service, the hot breakfast was luke warm. But you had the choice of bread, pastries and breakfast cereals. We stayed in 606, top floor. We found there to be only steps up. No lifts. We had a decent size room with a small kitchette. This had a kettle, coffee machine and a hob. No oven. The only thing I'd change about this hotel is to update the furniture within the rooms to something more modern and updated. You have free WiFi in this hotel which works very well and works in all areas. This hotel is located in a fantastic place. I'd certainly stay here again.

Really pretty aesthetic with one of the two pools right by the sea, super friendly staff, very well located. Numerous restaurants, bars and shops within a very short walk. Relaxed feel to hotel. Sunbeds by two pools and on the beach as well so there are plenty to go round. Pool bar has good range of meals and drinks and there's another nice restaurant literally next door to that one. 5 minute walk to the bus stop for a bus to Chania which costs sub 2 euros and most of the day they go every 20 mins or so and take about 20 mins, or it's an 18 euro taxi (taxi stand also within 3 mins walk or so). Spacious rooms, good AC, not much to the kitchenette, I don't think you could really self cater, but there are the basics - fridge, hob, kettle, coffee maker and some very basic equipment. Fortunately eating out is not too expensive in Crete.

Arrived last night after a flight delay. So nice to be greeted by a very welcoming and cheerful guy at the hotel at this hour. “You have a very nice room with a private pool!” he said. Yeah, I know, I booked it, I thought…But WOW! Top floor and a private pool with a view! I love the greeks❤️
