We LOVED this place! Dang is it ever pricey but it delivers the goods. We stayed in #117 and I can't imagine a better location as it has incredible views, a wonderful bedroom, and living room with views of the ocean. Every element of our experience here was top notch from the wonderful reception to ample convenient parking and perfect location for exploring Poipu. I usually would grouse about the lack of A/C, but frankly I didn't feel that I needed it. Lots of fans in all the rooms and wonderful tropical breezes. Our unit was very quiet and despite people wandering by our front lawn, it felt very private. The kitchen is well appointed and I LOVED the ice maker. A bonus was easy access to Whaler's Cove, which offers the best snorkeling in all of Poipu. Lots of turtles and colorful fish!

This our second stay at Whalers Cove in the last five years. We had a ground floor unit in #117 adjacent to the pool. The accommodations were comfortable and a great place to relax. We like having the ocean twenty feet from our lanai. The staff is friendly and helpful. Marianne is a great General Manager. Next year is already on the calendar!

This is our second time at Whalers Cove and once again it was lovely. Beautiful room, 233, gorgeous view, and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The property is quiet and very well located. I have been coming to Kauai since I was a child and Whalers Cove reminds me of the quiet luxury of my childhood. We’ll definitely return.

Whalers Cove is amazing! I am so glad I chose this over the fancy hotel resorts. plenty of space, big kitchen, washing machine and dryer, personal service. direct ocean front. Eileen and Marianne were so welcoming. I want to come back. Thank you Eileen and Marianne!

The staff was excellent. Very attentive to our needs. Loaned us beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys. The view was wonderful! Pool and barbecue were very nice. The kitchen could have been cleaner, but very well stocked. No AC. That took a couple of days to acclimate to, but overall not a problem even for my son who feels the heat.

The staff was great, and despite the large number of chickens on the island, this area was largely chicken free, so no rooster wakeup calls.

It’s an old dated property, we had a great time and the location is fantastic. It’s just an old dated property that is over priced imo.

We stayed in Unit 134 of the Whalers Cover resort, and it was everything (and had everything) we could have hoped for in a condo. The first thing one notices is the incredible view of the Pacific Ocean and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. The condo itself is very large with comfortable furniture, a feel-like-home quality, and of course a beautiful lanai overlooking the ocean. It is within walking distance of poipu beach and around the corner from baby beach (our favorite). Sunsets on the lanai, grilling by the pool, trips to the beach, walking to the shops for dinner (or coffee): it would be VERY hard to beat this experience.
