This is not a hotel. This is a regular building remodeled as individual rooms. There are no personal interactions with any human being, although the place is advertised at the ******* website as having a front desk attended 24/7, which is plain false. Access into the building is obtained through a code provided via WhatsApp, meaning that you need a functional cell phone in the Azores (some European sim cards will not work here); the code provided opens a box where a key attached to a chain is used to open the street door. Stairs with no elevator will give you access to the room assigned to you: you will find the door open with the key in the inside lock. Again, this place provides nothing other than a bed under a roof, at a price similar or higher than the cost of a room at real hotels, with front desks and personal services just a block away. Never again.

Just avoid.
While the location is KEY it stops there; as mentioned, terrible non consistent wifi, a bed sheet that was too small for the bed, stained rusty sheets that were also torn, musty towels; the BEST part about my room was the roof window, but you’re barely allowed to use it because of bugs (which is fair!); as mentioned, zero amenities and the stairs are incredibly deep and terrible to navigate. The kitchen is in need of deep repair and while there’s a fridge, it’s not clear whose food is whose.
For a “4 star hotel” I expected a hell of a lot more AND reception AND amenities; I considered checking out and staying elsewhere at a cost.

Disappointing
Upon arrival we were told that there had been a kitchen disaster, though this didn’t really affect us. What was a disappointment was the one pager on termites which were present and we saw flying around, the shower that pooled water instead of draining and the rock hard pillows. All of these factors led to an uncomfortable stay and we regret booking this accommodation. We tried to ask for assistance with the drain and getting other pillows and it was not offered.

Muy caro para lo que es
El hotel está bien, aunque creo que es muy caro para lo que es. No es realmente un hotel, no hay recepción, no ves a nadie, entras con un código…es una habitación. La mia era pequeña, con un armario que no era accesible y ventanas que no se podían abrir. La cama era cómoda, eso sí.
El desayuno no estaba mal pero te lo dejan en una cesta y te lo tiene que comer como puedes en la habitación
La ubicación excelente.

Hôtel confidentiel en plein centre
Très bien accueilli dans un hôtel très moderne .Chambre agréable avec une literie très confortable et une belle salle de bain. Petit déjeuner en panier devant la porte le matin avec une cuisine entièrement équipée à disposition. Situé en plein centre c’est un très bon plan pour un court séjour : je recommande vivement

No 24 hour Reception
This hotel specifically states it has a24/7 reception front desk, it does not. For our trip we required a hotel with 24/7 reception,
This was crucial for us as we were traveling with a small child.
However, upon arrival, we found that this was not the case. Nor was anyone available to meet us, as a result we had no information about our room.
A telephone reception operates 0930-0130 as stated on a poster on a table.
This clearly does not meet the advertised 24/7 front desk service. We decided not to stay and requested a refund, but the hotel refused several times claiming that it meant something else.
I would not recommend this hotel based on their failure to provide the services as advertised.
