We had a family break to go on Safari for Christmas 2024. The accommodation at the River Lodge was super. The suites were very comfortable, catering was (too) plentiful and the team were very welcoming and made for a relaxing base each day. Our guide, Forrest, was truly excellent. He provided insights on the animals and their behaviours whether big game or smaller animals, birds and insects. The walk through the bush was a real highlight and gave an opportunity to see more detail as to how the ecosystem fits together from tiny plants to large game. A truly, truly magnificent experience.

Stunning Es war in jeder Hinsicht marvelous, lovely, kind, hopefully die perfekte Erholung im Einklang mit der Natur mitten unter den Tieren zum Teil könnte man sie anfassen. Wundervoll ruhig und naturbelassen, so einladend wie man sich das nur wünschen kann.

The accommodation was great, very nice staff. Our guide Forrest was amazing! We learnt so much about the animals and he went above and beyond. There was also the lovely opportunity to take a boat ride down to the beach which was thoroughly enjoyable!

Liebevolle Lodge. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Zudem sehr schönes Game Reserve. Die Ranger sind sehr fachkundig und gehen auf die Wünsche der Besucher ein. Ohne Einschränkungen weiterzuempfehlen.

Staff were all very friendly and always made sure people were comfortable. Great views from the lodge. Food was delicious. Beds were very comfy as well. Special thanks to Forrest for making the game drives so enjoyable, was great at explaining how the animals interacted with each other and was always down for a laugh as well. Wonderful experience overall, would definitely recommend.

This is a real great place to be ! If you want a great experience in a very nice accommodation then this is the place to go !! Stunning nature. Our ranger Karan is an amazing knowledgeable person and a great personality ! We learned a lot from him about nature ! We loved it !

This was our first visit to your beautiful country. We had saved for a while as this was a special holiday to help celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had the most amazing experience. The location of River Lodge is stunning, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The safari game drives were exquisite and the guide hugely knowledgeable. What an experience, we loved every moment. The variety and quality of food was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the lovely Ruth to the moment we left and were waved goodbye by Lee we were made to feel very special and it was a fantastic and fitting end to our 10 day holiday in South Africa.

5***** reichen hier nicht aus, ich würde 10***** vergeben für diese unglaublich schöne River Lodge! Das Personal, das Essen, die Unterkunft, die Safaris, die Guides, es war einfach alles wunderschön, zuvorkommend, aufmerksam. Es gab wirklich nicht einen einzigen Grund wo man etwas aussetzen könnte! Wir werden es zu 100% weiter empfehlen und bestimmt auch noch einmal selbst hierher kommen!
