Fortunately I only read the reviews after I had booked. Was a little concerned in view of some of the bad reviews, but in fact the Pez Azul is brilliant, especially in view of the price. The staff without exception are extremely friendly and helpful. I hadn't realized I'd booked a "low cost" single accommodation, but in fact my accommodation was very spacious with twin beds joined together. I was on the groundfloor and my terrace was surrounded by a garden with tropical plants (and I had view of the Teide). I experienced none of the problems mentioned in some of the negative reviews. The location is super, both for transport: the bus from the airport stops almost outside the Pez Azul . It's a pleasant walk down into town (a bit of a climb on the way back, but if you have walking difficulties, the taxis in Tenerife are very cheap). You can walk to the beautiful Taoro Park (via Calle Belgica it's shorter) and don't miss the "Jardin de las Orchideas" of Agatha Christie fame , which is a 5 minutes walk from the Pez Azul (Sitio Litre). Closes at 2 pm. What I appreciated most is that, unlike so many places in Spain and especially Tenerife, the Pez Azul doesn't play loud music . If, like me, you want peace and quiet, I would suggest ground-floor, away from the swimming pool. The weather in Puerto is nice all year round: although I went in October, I was able to have a swim in the outdoor pool (the weather was brilliant!) Re. the cockroaches mentioned by some: this is part and parcel of a tropical climate BUT here's the trick: keep the bath and bidet outlet plugged and put a few bayleaves in a small dish: bay is supposed to repel the critters. (The accommodation was clean and I didn't meet any insects!) As someone who previously lived in Puerto de la Cruz for several years and also stayed in hotels most of the year during my tour leader's career, I can honestly say that the Pez Azul is a great choice and gives more than good value for money.

Las habitaciones socias y llenas de cucarachas, no aconsejable reservar en este hotel es una pesadilla, hemos intentado reclamar a la recepción pero no hicieron nada, hemos comprado un spray pero salen sin parar, y las habitaciones es muy antiguas

Por fuera el apartamento está bonito, en la habitaciones esta lleno cucarachas por todos los sitios en el baño en la cama en las paredes de dentro de la nevera, da asco que de usar lo cubiertos, los platos hay que fregar cada vez que se usa, en la ducha el desagüe falta cuando se termina de ducharse parece una piscina olímpica, uno puede resbalar y tener un accidente, la ropa de cama manchada huele mal , el plástico que está enrollado en la cama hay insectos muertos, la cabecera de la cama sale cucarachas, el jabón del baño tardaron 3 días para reponer, uno se tarde 10 minutos pulsando la cadena del water para que baja toda la meir….. el domingo a las 9:00 de mañana las chicas de la limpieza pica en las puertas para limpiar las habitaciones una falta de respeto, se escucha todo ruido por la noche y madrugada, arrastando muebles gente por el pasillo que dan portazos, hablamos con la recepción sobre las cucarachas pero les da igual, tuve que tira comida porque había cucarachas, se paga por todo se necesita el aire acondicionado tiene que pagar se necesita jabón para la cocina hay que pagar , tampoco hay wifi porque hay que pagar , el Buff poco opción de comida, el colchón mayor que la cama , nevera oxigenada , el microondas cuando se pone en marcha sale el ejército de cucarachas 🪳 muy asqueroso. Tuve que comprar un spray para las cucarachas y bichos , una mala experiencia no volveré jamas .

Nous n'avons pas résidé dans cet hôtel donc aucun avis sur les chambres mais ce que nous pouvons dire c'est que l'établissement est vieillissant et il ne donne pas l'impression d'être en vacances ! Nous logions dans un autre hôtel mais en demi-pension et donc le repas du soir devait normalement avoir lieu dans l'hôtel "Pez Azul" [déjà le concept est particulier mais pourquoi pas]... Pour le premier repas du soir nous nous rendons donc dans cet "hôtel" : je tiens à souligner que le personnel est sympathique mais une ambiance particulièrement bizarre pèse dans le restaurant [trop silencieux, TRISTE..bref, pas à l'aise du tout !] Buffet ouvert de 19h à 21h30 : nous arrivons vers 20h30. Le buffet était pratiquement vide, peu de choix ... Et le peu qui restait ne donnait absolument pas envie. Ayant payé notre demi-pension, nous allons faire l'effort ... Je commence donc par servir ma fille avec "une valeur sûre" : spaghetti poulet. Sans surprise, elle a goûté et pas du tout apprécié ("froid et pas bon du tout" : ce sont ses mots). Nous avons laissé son assiette, nous étions pas encore servi mais tout cela à bien suffit à nous persuader d'y retourner... Nous avons traversé et sommes allés manger à "El chinyero", simple et efficace. Résultat : 4 repas payés sans y avoir mangé.

Positives: Sehr günstig Pool Bar mit wirklich guten Preisen (Großes Bier 2,50, kleines Bier 1,50) Freundliches Personal. Neutral: Frühstück OK, wenn für 3 Wochen auch etwas eintönig. Lage: Rund herum nicht viel, also entweder 10-15 min bergauf, oder 20-25 min bergab marschieren. Negativ: Sehr Renovierungsbedürftig., Türe vom Bad die nur mit Gewalt zum Öffnen und Schließen ist. Die Sauberkeit ist nicht wirklich gegeben. So wurde erst nach 2 Wochen Mal der Balkon und der Spiegel im Bad gereinigt. Die Kochplatte gar nicht, obwohl wir sie nicht benutzt haben, verstaubte sie. Im Pool Bereich viel zu wenige (und teilweise desolate) Sonnenschirme, um die dann natürlich ein Kampf entsteht. Fazit: Ein Mal ist genug. Dem Vernehmen nach sind die Zustände so, seit ein neues Management im Einsatz ist. Für uns kommt es nicht mehr in Frage.

We hebben 3 dagen niet kunnen douchen omdat de douche kapot was. 4e dag kwam eindelijk de monteur langs. In plaats van de douche te repareren verving hij de douchekop. Daarna is hij nog een keer geweest om de douche te maken want het probleem was niet opgelost er kwam eindelijk water uit maar het water schommelde tussen ijskoud of bloedheet. De monteur zou op dag 2 al langs komen, hier hebben wij de hele dag op zitten wachten maar helaas niemand gezien. In totaal wel 5x naar de receptie geweest om te vragen en te klagen. Hier werden we uitgelachen en van het kastje naar de muur gestuurd met beloftes dat er de volgende dag wel een monteur zou komen. Er komt een rioollucht uit de putjes van de kamer, schoonmaaksters en monteur hebben er naar gekeken maar niet op kunnen lossen. In de roosters van de badkamer zit schimmel. Hier is mijn vriendin met astma erg ziek van geworden. Ook de magnetron zit onder de schimmel en is niet te gebruiken. De bedden worden nooit verschoont en worden gewoon omgedraaid zodat het minder opvalt. De vloer wordt niet schoongemaakt en de handdoeken soms vervangen. Soms krijg je er 4 en soms 2 voor 2 dagen met zijn 2en. We werden totaal niet geholpen en gehoord bij de balie. Uiteindelijk toch gelukt om van kamer te wisselen. Echter hebben we hier de zelfde problemen en hebben we er nu kakkerlakken bij. Door al dit gedoe heel veel tijd kwijt aan wachten en discussiëren met het personeel in plaats van te kunnen genieten van de vakantie. Wij komen hier nooit meer en raden het aan niemand aan om hier te slapen. Bah!

Séjour médiocre, carte de l’hôtel marche 1fois sur 2 , cafard et le comble nous nous donne fait volé notre affaire dans la chambre d’hôtel! Ne venez surtout pas dans cette établissement!! Nous somme parti porter plainte et ce n’est pas la première fois malheureusement!!

No logro entender muchos de los comentarios. Estuvimos 5 días y nada de ruidos, suciedad, pelos, bichos, cucarachas, mugre y todo eso que se lee aquí. El apartamento estaba muy limpio y aseado, aceptable para el precio que tienen. Neverita, fregadero y algo de menaje para comer o cenar de vez en cuando. Camas cómodas y baño amplio con agua caliente central. Nos limpiaban baño y hacían las camas cada día (aunque el último nos advirtieron de que las toallas se cambian cada 2, punto negativo). Un gran armario para la ropa y una estupenda terraza con mesa y sillas con vistas a la piscina tranquilas y sin tráfico. La piscina normal y corriente, con tumbonas y duchas. Recepcionistas muy atentos y chicas de la limpieza educadas y nada ruidosas. Todo ello más que aceptable para el tipo de apartamentos que pagamos. Todos aquellos que se quejan deberían pensar dónde se meten y sus expectativas. Si quieren cocina completa y sentirse como en casa, pueden optar por apartamentos de lujo y llevarse una chacha (pack de limpieza incluido) que les lave y cocine a diario. Estos son para ducharse, descansar, comer algo y marchar de turismo por la isla, que da mucho de sí. Nota: la zona está concurrida para aparcar, pero es fácil encontrar sitio en las callecitas sin salida que hay en los alrededores.
