As a family of 5 (21,19 &14) we have just arrived home from an October half term week at Colina Mar. We split across 3 spacious Apartments (numbers 227,231 & 232) which were very clean (not a cockroach in sight), sufficiently equipped with fridge etc and with excellent water pressure in the bathrooms. The hint of 90’s Spain decor really wasn’t a problem. The views across Puerto Rico and down to the beach are some of the best we’ve experienced, especially when lit up at nighttime. The hotel across a number of quirky levels was brilliant and it offered lots of quiet areas with small groups of sunbeds, perfect for our family of 5. And it was well worth the 7 euro taxi ride down to the seafront, however the 700 steps were walked to tick that box. The AllInclusive food reviews before our departure filled us with fear, but this was unnecessary as although some may say limited, for each meal we all found more than enough to eat and certainly no one went hungry. The drinks included again were generous in portion and more than acceptable choice. The staff were helpful when asked, especially Renata on Reception who helped us arrange an unforgettable jet skiing trip. The evening Entertainment could be improved, however we always make our own entertainment with a pack of playing cards. As with any holiday, it is what you make of it and we certainly all had a great time!

Just back after 2 weeks here. The views are spectacular from this hotel, over looking the sea and harbour however it is what it is, a very generous 3 star hotel!!!! Cori the bar man couldn't do enough for us, the animation team was fantastic and all the staff worked really hard but sadly there was some negative points for us. The food wasnt labelled as to what it was, having food allergies this was an issue, there was signs saying ask staff for details when we asked the reply was 'I don't know'. Food was also bought out quite early and left uncovered with flys landing on it. My son had his notes stollen out of his wallet (left on the table inside the apartment) when my husband went to complain about this to a lady called 'annie' her response was, are you sure no-one else has taken it as we know what kids are like? Also that we was welcome to report it to the police but no-one in her hotel would steal. So basically she didn't believe us!!! So advice is pay for a safe!. Wifi is only free in the hotel lobby or you can pay €10 for 4gb of data, so my advice is if your travelling with little ones it may be cheaper to sort with your mobile provider before you travel. There are signs all over hotel about reserving sunbeds but no-one payed any attention, people were putting towels on sunbeds as early as 3am! This is a very noisy hotel so if your a couple looking for a peaceful, relaxing get away this may not be the right hotel for you

My review what can I say. My wife and I both enjoyed our stay at colina Mar. we arrived on 1st October to the 12th of October 2024. we were great with a friendly smile and welcoming hello. She went through everything we needed to know, and more once booked in, she explained we're where to go. we were in room 339 above the small pool area. Then we went down to the restaurant to get something to eat and a drink. We found something to eat every day we were there. Proper breakfast and evening meals. The apartment was basic but clean. Cleaners came in every other day. There are elevators to all levels, too all the staff and entertainment where brilliant keep up the good work. Would and will we go back, yes we will loved it.

We had seen alot of reviews say about bad things, well this is my a really review about colina mar apartment's , we arrived on the 1st Oct to 12 Oct at 8pm and was greated by a pleasant and well mannered female members of staff on reception, she explained everything we needed to know and gave us all the information we needed then she explained we're we had to go and what level our apartment was on it was apartment 339 clean and basic. We dropped our cases off, then went to the restaurant near the main pool we was in time for some food and a couple of drink We found food for use every day we was there weather is was breakfast, dinner or tea and snack in-between. There had been comment of cockroaches and bedbug there was none of that there while we was there you get what you pay for and I can say that there.was some meals we had that were better than some.of the 4.star hotels we have been too. We want to say thank you to all the staff and entertainment for the great holiday we had keep up the good work. Will we go back yes we will

Hotel was nice and clean, very basic, brilliant view, but staff were very rude, horrible attitude, entertainment wasn't very good during the day. The food wasn't the best either, not very much to pick from, once again biggest problem is the attitude of the staff, very disappointed.

It's not cheap and cheerful but inexpensive and good. Great reception and staff. The room is cleaned 5 times a week ! Only stayed on a self catering basis so can't comment on food etc. main pool busy , small pool quieter and great little bar serving snacks and good pint !. Yes there are ants but tell me any hotel on a volcanic island that hasn't. After all they were here before we were . Would recommend this as a great base for a holiday. Near the Europa centre and only a 40 min walk down Hill to the main two beaches. Ps it's only 7 minutes in a taxi back up !!😁

We stayed a week. Towels changed twice and room cleaned three times. Although it's near to the Europa Center and the views are stunning, it needs a serious cash injection yo update the rooms with their miss matched furniture. Orange quilts in purple covers put on inside out. Would I stay again? Doubtful.

This place is just beautiful. The scenery is beautiful. Our apartment had a beautiful view of the small pool and a wide view of the town below. I will say if you are coming for the first time it can be confusing to figure out where to go. I have to take 3 elevators to get to my apartment but can be avoided by walking down flights of stairs. The apartment is beautiful and quiet big for the price paid. the room service is beyond appreciated with polite staff willing to have a conversation with you. The place is incredibly clean, I have seen staff cleaning everyday which is much appreciated. I recommend this place and is right next to the Europa centre.

Great hotel with amazing views! First timer in Gran Canaria and Ive been amazed! Good hotel for price you pay, dont expect 5 stars but it does the job.Apartments clean daily, fresh towels etc apparently loads of cockroaches/ants but we didnt see any in our 124 room.Swimming pools bit dated, main one full of Brits shouting and overall being loud.Smaller pool more cozy and better sun beds. Some beds were engaged even at 6:30-7:00am. Food ok,nothing special but great selection of desserts. Daily evening entertainment by big pool. Taxi to airport booked from hotel 70€/£60. Very close to Europa shopping centre for markets/food.Amadores beach beatifull place for sunset-5€ by taxi one way :) All staff super friendly especially blond guy with tattoos in restaurant. Will defo come back soon.
