Although well located, you do need to be fairly mobile to access this hotel. It is also located directly opposite the commercial centre, which is incredibly loud into the early hours at times. We did know this at time of booking and chose purely for the location, however it is also a fairly long walk from the beach which in heat is unpleasant especially with sand in the wrong places 🤣 The rooms are very large, unfortunately we had an awful room, despite my husband stating it was for our anniversary, and ordering a surprise wine gift. Basic is the word I’d describe for this hotel in general, it’s tired in need of a good clean and general update. I’m struggling to see how this is rated a 4*. The robes and towels are old and threadbare, the beds are singles pushed together, and not fixed so constantly moved. Our shower was mouldy with old mildew. Nothing the cleaners could do to prevent this it was purely old and in need of maintenance. The balcony had loose railings, the hot tub was filthy and broken, to top it off it overlooked a derilict hotel next door/ residential buildings with dogs barking all day. We supposedly paid for superior it being on the highest floor ? The view however is ok with sun later in the day and pretty at night. The pool area was fine, the usual suspects queue at the door before opening to bag their spot, which is utterly pointless as no sun is on the front of the building until lunch time. Pool bar was good , with lovely staff and good food, drinks very reasonable. God awful music on repeat which totally ruined the vibe being overly loud 1980’s pop, I remember it the first time around and it wasn’t good then 😂.. We didn’t waste our time with the weird astro turf roof, no bar open but random showers installed ? We stayed B&B .. breakfast was pretty poor, small selection, not refreshed or hot. Again the staff were lovely and work very hard. We went out every day in our two week stay, the area itself is pretty tired looking, it’s a shame as this hotel group seem to be purchasing pretty much everything in the valley, if they concentrated on upgrading their existing, I might have felt more positive. It cost in the region of £3000 with a package, which although I wasn’t expecting luxury, totally was not worth the cost. I’d recommend looking at apartments, as they are abundant in the area around and half the cost for better quality. We went purely on location and adults only. I don’t like to leave bad feedback, but we love our holidays, and I think if you look closely at the negative reviews, then it gives a much better reflection of this hotel which should be a 3* presently. The only redeeming feature, are the beautiful staff who made us feel welcome, and worked so hard with smiles every day.
