Premier Inn Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Builyeon Rd, Queensferry, EH30 9YJ, United Kingdom
Show on Map
On the shore of the Firth of Forth, Queensferry is situated ten miles to the north of Edinburgh. So the Premier Inn Hotel Edinburgh (South Queensferry) is the ideal base for venturing into Scotland's first city, or for exploring the majestic landscape of the Lothians. Queensferry has some puzzling traditions, like the procession of the Burry Man and the annual dip in the Firth of Forth. But there are plenty of other things to do, such as a visit to the Georgian splendour of Hopetoun House or Dundas Castle. There are lots of business venues and good transport links. Once you're done for the day, come back to great food at our Brewers Fayre restaurant and a lovely comfy bed.Show More

Good location. Close to famous bridge. I was luck to see from my room the bridge during the night which was lovely. Good value for money. As the restaurant down do anymore buffet breakfast just made to order I have chosen to eat outside. Close you will find McDonald and M&S food. The village itself has a lot of restaurant and take aways. I did enjoy the stay. Room comfortably, well equipped and clean. Free parking onsite although don't forget to register you car registration in the cctv system while checking in.

Great location. Took a bus into Edinburgh which was easy and affordable from the hotel. Clean room. Comfy bed. Slept very well. (Have ordered the premier inn bed!) Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Just what we expected from Premier Inn. Always our first choice stay depending on price.

Very comfy bed and pillows. Very clean room and bathroom. Thick towels and great water pressure for bath and shower. Reception staff were friendly and efficient with good local knowledge. We travelled by bus and got got off at the slip road which was less than 5 minutes walk to the hotel. Simple to get to by bus. All the Stagecoach buses from Edinburgh bus station go over the Queensferry crossing so you get off at the slip road. Buses every few minutes, even on a Sunday. Easy 15 minute walk into South Queensferry with directions from the receptionist. All in all a great overnight stay on a Sunday that cost £54!

The room and hotel itself is fine, what you would expect from a premier inn, but upon arrival after a flight at midnight, the receptionist said there was £23 outstanding to be paid for the room which made no sense as I had fully paid for the room when I booked it online. She couldn’t explain what the outstanding balance was for and she was not willing to give us our room keycard without paying the balance which we found horrific, all she said to do was complain to premier inn via email which I have done and still awaiting a response from them. Our room wasn’t completely clean beneath the bed either which usually wouldn’t have bothered us as it’s just a bed for a night but since I was already annoyed this annoyed me more

A cheaper option than staying in central Edinburgh but there is a bus that stops a few minutes away that will take you to the city centre. We weren't impressed with the receptionist as we completed the form she gave us and went off to our room but on returning through reception on our way out we noticed the car registration machine. We asked her if we needed to register there as well as on the form and she said "Didn't you do that?" No, we didn't because she'd only asked us to complete the form with our details and car registration number and hadn't mentioned the machine! The room was comfortable enough but unfortunately we were overlooking a flat roof that seemed to house several extractors that made a continuous droning sound.

We had a comfortable stay here on the night of 27/09/24. The lady on reception, when we checked in, was welcoming & very helpful in booking a table for us to have an evening meal at the restaurant adjoining the hotel (which was fantastic value & the staff were lovely). We were in Room 20 & happy with the overall experience. Thank you!

Having visited Premier Inn at Queensferry a number of years ago, we were very disappointed to find that in spite of quite an increase in the price of accommodation, very little has been done to improve the rooms. The place feels rather tired and uncared for with dirty windows and stairways, and over grown hedges. While the room was very spacious there was nowhere to sit comfortably.

From the outside the hotel doesn't look too great, but on entering it was immediately apparent, with a welcoming smile, that everything is catered for. The room was clean and quiet and everything worked. I was extremely impressed by the friendliness of all the staff, nothing was too much bother and everything had already been thought about. The bed and pillow was just so comfortable.
