Go somewhere else.
It’s 2022, when people work remotely, school remotely and depend on their phones. and this place makes you PAY for wifi. And you’re sort of stuck doing it because the cell service out there is mediocre, at best. Don’t expect a quick check-in because the desk agent will take FOREVER to show you a map (when your room is two doors down) and then you’ll be forced to visit a concierge who will try to sell you on a free vacation if you sit through a presentation. Typical timeshare, except this place has invested more money in the fancy wristbands that give you access all over the resort and cheap pins that they give you instead of… soft towels? blankets on the bed? decent linens?
When we got there, it was 80 outside. When we walked into our room, the HEAT was on and set at 80. It took all night to cool the room because the only a/c unit was in the bedroom, which couldn’t keep up with the size of the unit.
The things it was: safe, remote, clean, in a nice area. The things it wasn’t: comfortable, spacious, updated.
Oh, and the desk agent who checked me out was sure to tell me to fill out the survey they sent, and when I responded with, “Thank you. Have a great day,” her response was, “Uh huh.”
