So let's start with saying I stayed at this hotel recently, think a couple of days ago, with my family so we could attend a funeral. I selected a hotel near the airport for ease of access knowing that we all came from three different places, using two different airlines and one person driving. Our troubles started upon arrival. Despite having one member's air travel being delayed by an hour, we still arrived long before the 4pm check-in time and was promptly told the room was not ready and we could call later to find out when it is ready. There is something... odd going on with their phone. At times the call would not connect, like it did when we were at the airport when I tried to call, and other times it will go through. This happened throughout the entire stay, so I simply asked if they had an approximate time when they think it might be ready. She snapped at me that check-in is 4pm, as if I hadn't heard her before. Years ago, I did housekeeping for a summer. I know there is a list, and where we are on the list might suggest if we are going to be closer to 4pm or a little earlier. We left with our bags, despite them offering to hold them for us, because no trust had been established here. I called twice later, the first time the call would not connect, the second time our rooms were ready at 2pm. We were not given the Preimum WiFi password at check in. We were not given pool information at check-in. Really the only information we were given at all was about having a menu in the room for the breakfast service which is not... true. We all heard it, and not only was it not there, another staff member seemed confused why we were asking for it. This brings us to the other problems. This hotel advertises services and amenities they literally do not have. The Basil restaurant is not operational and is described as permanently closed by staff. There is no onsite restaurant. This meant, for us, that people on different meal schedules were now needing to eat together because the convenience of onsite preparation is simply not there. The first night, I noticed there is no HBO. They advertise on their website, but I assure you there is no HBO. It's not listed in the guide and there is no amount of channel surfing that will find what is not there. They do have StarzEncore but mostly it's an On Demand service that charges 19.99 for movies that are currently streaming on subscriptions services. These are not even in theater movies. The TV on-screen guide will suggest you can cast to the TV. This is not true. Embassy Suites has disabled this feature. The app is certainly capable of this feature, but the way they have it set-up is to use your phone as a glorified remote. It can not cast to the TV. We paid for a premium suit as well. 3 adults in a room that is advertised to hold 6. We stayed here for one night after a late night flight. Everything was excellent! The check-in process was efficient and professional. This is a new hotel, so everything is quite modern. You use your room key to access turning on the power in the room. I was so impressed with the room itself. It was spotlessly clean! Our king bed was also very comfy. In the morning, we were pleased to find a fully stocked breakfast! Eggs, bacon, bagels, pancakes, yogurt, juices, coffee, and the famous cinnamon rolls were all available. We were very happy with this property and look forward to staying here again.

I’m not sure if this hotel has had a management change since my last visit here, but a lot has changed and not for the better. Check in staff takes 20 mins to make a reservation, you can’t understand the people working the front desk. There no longer is a hotel shuttle to and from the SEA airport, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable and itchy. The coffee shop in the lobby had closed its gates in front of our face cause the lady working said she had a family emergency. So we asked the restaurant on the other side of the hotel and she said she can’t make a coffee. The staff is rude! STAY AWAY!

I have to note that I have stayed in so many hotels relocating from the East Coast to the West Coast, and I’ve been very surprised at certain hotel chains. This hotel was a delight!! I’ve worked in customer service for years, and I was always told that you be able to know who the manager is just by their leadership skills; I knew immediately that Raj was the General Manager. His professionalism, accuracy, and customer service skills were impeccable; by far the best I’ve seen and I’ve stayed at 25 different hotels during this journey. The hotel itself is also wonderful, which reflects on management also. Every front desk employee was excellent, and I appreciate some humor, and got some from a young lady. The rooms are immaculate, and very spacious; there are a lot of places to meet all your needs in terms of toiletries, wine, and many other things. You can ask the front desk so many questions and not only will they give you the answers, but they will make sure you understand where you are going. The entire team was dressed perfectly, something I’ve noticed has been lacking in other hotels. I think it’s also in the perfect location, because your right outside of Seattle, but not in the middle of all the chaos so you have a great deal peace, but can get to the city in 15 minutes approximately, This has been my favorite hotel that we have stayed at since bouncing around the Seattle area. I applaud Raj, and all management as well as the front desk agents, you truly are all wonderful, and I felt at home but better bc the hotel is just wonderful in all respects. Thank you North Gate for restoring my faith in hotels again.

Nice and comfortable airport hotel. Location is tremendous, as it’s near to SEA airport, with lots of food venues around. A complimentary airport shuttle is available. The shuttle departs every thirty minutes to the airport, at :00 and :30. Exceptionally kind and helpful staff at the hotel, however, one specific shuttle driver was extremely rude and unbothered. I did not catch his name. Didn’t bother helping me with my suitcases and at the airport didn’t bother taking out my suitcases either. Also the shuttle departed full, so some passengers had to stand. Rooms were very clean, but a bit outdated. Since the hotel is big, there are two fitness facilities available, very convenient. I had a 1 bed queen room with a balcony, which is a nice touch. I would stay again, if staying near SEA airport.

I’ve stayed at this hotel whenever I’m in Bellevue, WA for well over thirty years. My earliest memories of this property were as a Red Lion Hotel. Then it became a Double Tree and finally, on its deathbed , it’s a Hilton. How the mighty have fallen… Not withstanding the property, which I’ll get into, I will say that the staff are generally kind and helpful. So this review is not to diminish their efforts. However hard they work, the reality is this property is beyond salvage and should be torn down and a new property should be built in its place. The bedrooms are grossly outdated, and when you look behind the doors, or in between the furniture, you’ll see how old this hotel is. While it’s sizeable in space and scope, the elevators are tragically slow, with two-of-four being out of commission when we stayed there recently. Sadly, the water pressure is so low it takes forever to wash and rinse. Our keycard failed three separate times, requiring a long walk and painful elevator ride back to the main desk where the staff reset the keycard. The pool is functioning, but there were never enough chairs and loungers. Add to this there were never enough fresh towels and you’re getting the taste of mediocrity this hotel delivers. One absolutely disgusting site is the swamp that lies just beside the pool (down the concrete foundation about twenty feet). I have no idea who thinks this is aesthetically pleasing, but it’s not. It’s home to a few ducks who clearly have poor taste in accommodations, as did we. This poolside unattraction is downright ugly. One thing I was interested to see were several staff members not wearing any type of formal Hilton uniforms. The breakfast buffet chef was literally dressed in Carharts with a t-shirt, work boots and a ball cap on. And one of the maintenance staff looked like he just walked in off the street. Management must have been on vacation at another property. Finally, the outside of the building, including the massive sloping glass facade, clearly hasn’t been washed in decades. And worse, yet, the parking area is filthy to say the least. Food containers, candy wrappers, cigarette butts and hygiene products lay a strewn for days with no effort to maintain a modest effort in appearance. This was the last time we will stay at this hotel. If you want to save yourself frustration and disappointment, I encourage you to stay at the new Marriott up the street. Literally blocks away, it’s a cleaner, nicer bet.

Stayed here recently and liked my stay very much. Due to Covid the hotel restaurant was not open which was disappointing but understandable. I stayed in a spa suite room at a very fair rate. The spa suite is a nice room and allows for a good soak with bubbles to relax. Good Internet, desk for work. Property felt safe , good parking in a well lit lot. Property is near tons of eateries and shopping. Super easy access to I-5 to both Tacoma and Seattle. Staff were efficient and accommodating. I would easily stay here again.
