The Old Bicycle Shop

Loved the location and was able to park right in front of building. Super sweet bedroom with big bed and window, even in basement! Kind and attentive host who was very responsive & helpful. I had poor luck to be there with very large family who were up late and early, talking loudly, stomping and overtook bathroom/kitchen/living area in a massive way. They were not considerate, so that is risk with Airbnb/guesthouse. Affordable and worth it. Would stay again and hope for better luck😊

This guesthouse is a gem! Fantastic location-quiet neighborhood but steps away from great restaurants and shops. Bus stop #8, the waterfront, and city center, are a 5 minute walk away. The house and bedroom are kept very clean (it was cleaned 2x during our 4 day stay) and are well appointed, with comfy beds and bedding, towels and washcloths, spacious room with two twin beds, dresser, wardrobe, and chair. The living area on the first floor includes plenty of seating (sofas and chairs), bookshelves with an incredible display of books; the kitchen includes a large kitchen table and chairs and is stocked with plates, glasses, bowls, utensils, a small refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker, and coffee, tea. There are two bathrooms: one on the first floor with toilet, sink, and bathtub and the second on the second floor with shower, toilet, and sink. This was my first booking with airbnb and I wasn’t sure what to expect but I highly recommend The Old Bicycle Shop if your travels bring you to Reykjavík. The owners were very responsive and provided great tips on things to do.
