The employee (Katerina) that we regularly interacted with was welcoming, courteous, and helpful. She was nice enough to lend us an additional telephone charger, provided assistance for a tour excursion, as welll as provide valuable information for our bus departure for the airport, Each morning she and another staff member provided a traditional Greek/European breakfast, featuringyogurt, honey, eggs, pancakes, bacon, and fruit, along w/tea and/or juice. The room accommodaton turned out to be less than comfortable, in that the door entrance way featured a 2'' drop in the floor, which caused some tripping at times. Further, the bed was sitting atop a wood platform, requiring rentees to be very cautious entering and exiting the bed itself. The platform called for one to walk carefully up two steps to reach the bed...a particularly hazardous requirement when needing to descend those same two steps in the middle of night while groggy and wishing to use the bathroom. While we're certain they thought it was agood idea, the set up could well cause uninvited injury just entering/exiting the room and go to and waking up from bed. The wi-fi was spotty, and so we often could not access wi-fi; likewise that television did not work for whatever reason, so if, at the end of the day, you showered and wanted to catch some golf or evening news, you were out of luck. The wifi and television issues were no major deal, but if a hotel advertises the availability of something, they should well ensure that such amenities are, in fact, availble to the tenants. As nice as the staff person was, the potential hazardous room set up alone requires that we not recommend this hotel. On a morning where we took an excursion in the early am prior to breakfast time, they would assemble a breakfast basket and place in our room the evening before, which was thoughtful and appreciated. Unfortunately, they failed to do so for our last day at the hotel, when we had an early flight. They were aware of our flight time, our stay included breakfast, but they failed to provide any breakfast nourishment as they did earlier for our morning tour excursion. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved Rhodes (Rodos to the Greeks), and while we wish the hotel staff well, we cannot recommend Efchi Suites 1904, given the concerns shared in this review.
