Not exactly as described
Photos and description show pool. The owner however rented out the pool one day and it was partitioned off and not available to hotels guests. I complied to the receptionist who called owner. No apology or compensation from the owner. Other than that the stay would have been nice.

Estar hospedado na Volcanic Charming House não foi nada menos que das melhores experiências de alojamento que já tivemos! Pessoal super atencioso, sempre amigável e com um enorme sorriso nos lábios! Durante os dias de chuva foi nos dado sugestões sobre o que fazer na ilha de São Miguel quando chove, o que visitar, o que comer e beber, e quais os melhores restaurantes na Ribeira Grande e Ponta Delgada. Foi-nos dado também um mapa personalizado pela equipa das Casas da Ribeira Grande onde consta toda a informação sobre os principais lugares a visitar na ilha de São Miguel de forma simples e direta, evitando mapas com demasiada informação e difíceis de ler. A cereja no topo do bolo foi a piscina de água aquecida a 32 graus, que usamos várias vezes durante os dias de chuva. Era as nossas termas aquecidas pessoais! O alojamento está também muito bem localizado perto de lugares como as termas da Caldeira Velha (9 min), Centro de Ribeira Grande (3 min), Chá Gorreana (15 min), Cascata do Salto do Cabrito (10 min), Miradouro de Santa Iria (10 min), Aeroporto (25 min), Poças de Dona Beja (30 min), Lagoa do Fogo (30 min), e muitos outros lugares a curtas distancias, tornando assim a Volcanic Charming House no lugar perfeito para as férias na ilha de São Miguel. Muito obrigado a todos! Fica a promessa que um dia regressaremos!

Very nice hotel with a very comfortable bedroom. The bathroom was not in proportion to the rest of the hotel, it was very basic (no place to put toiletries, no hangers, horrible white light and an uncomfortable shower cabin) The garden and the breakfast were excellent .

My wife and I stayed at the Volcanic Charming House for 8 nights, everything was fantastic. To start, our flight was cancelled from Sao Jorge and we were booked on a much later flight landing on Sao Miguel at 12: 50 AM. We messaged the Volcanic Charming House about this, they said; “no problem, we will have someone meet you to check you in when you get there (2:00 AM)”. Our room was very clean and elegantly arranged. The common areas have been designed with every detail thought out carefully. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of fresh fruit. Staff friendly and helpful. We give the Volcanic Charming House our highest recommendation.

This house turned into an hotel is amazing! If you are looking for a place to adventure all day and then have a quiet, comfortable, and nice evening with amazing views this is your place. My husband and I dined in every night because we loved the scenery so much. We will definitely stay again.

Endroit agréable, propre, et en très bon état. Mais : - Les chambres donnant sur la rue sont très bruyantes - pas de rangement dans la chambre - pas de coffre-fort dans la chambre - pas de service de repas (ca pourrait être pratique) - compliqué pour boire un verre, un apéro en soirée, car il faut courir après le serveur. - Remplacement des produits sanitaires pas systématiques, nous avons dû en demander régulièrement. - odeur dans la chambre 6 parfois désagréable.

Our stay here was almost perfect. The staff was excellent as was the breakfast selection. We did not use the pool as hoped, but it looked beautiful. Great to have a full kitchen available to us to store and prepare food. Wish we had known this ahead of time (as well as close location to grocery store); we would definitely have planned things differently! Our room was small, but we didn't spend much time there, so not a problem. Great price/value for this stay! Good location; close enough for us to walk anywhere in town. The only thing I did not like was the see through bathroom wall, that was a deal breaker for me.

Een eerste indruk maak je maar één keer. Een heel prettig welkom en heel behulpzaam met alles. Rondleiding door het gebouw en overige faciliteiten. Helaas is er geen lift aanwezig waardoor bagage mogelijk een probleem zou kunnen zijn. Niets is minder waar beide koffers netjes naar boven gebracht en bij vertrek zelfs vroeger begonnen om onze koffers weer naar beneden te dragen; super service! De kamer is voortreffelijk, licht, ruim met airco. Fantastisch uitzicht over de baai. Elke dag zijn onze handdoeken verschoond; Tip misschien de gast vragen deze op de grond elders neer te leggen als men schone wil hebben. Zeer goed en ruim gesorteerd ontbijt bij het zwembad; mooie ambiance. Wanneer men vroeger wil ontbijten is dit geen probleem. Ruime parkeerplaats en centrum op loopafstand.
