Good option for a few nights in Rio. The location is amazing…5min walk from Copacabana Beach, metro station practically beside the hotel, lots of restaurants and cafes near by. The room is ok, a bit smaller than I thought. TV works well, air conditioning as well. Bed isn’t too comfortable, but do the job

Pros: - The staff was friendly and helpful - Easy Check-In - Clean - Good & Safe location - COLD A/C - Fresh sheets and towels daily Cons: - Bad Wifi (needed to use cellular data the whole trip) - Only one power outlet by the bed - The evaluator on the 9th floor did not work properly - The shower ran out of hot water quickly

Very basic. Nothing extra. Bare bones of a hotel. But, fantastic location for the money, just be prepared to pay for everything else.

Very close to the metro and bus stations. Couple minutes walk from copacabana beach. Safe area, lots of tourists, restaurants and shops. Room was very clean. Receptionists were helpful.

Great place to stay. Baffet style breakfast every morning. Just a short walk from the beach and a block from the underground metro. Learning the metro saved lots of money to do the things you want to do on holiday. Lock box in your room for any important items. Very nice!

perfect location in Copacabana, close to the beach (2 blocks), next to Cantagallo metro station and with plenty public and private transportations around as well as grocery stores and restaurants. Despite that the location of the hotel is quiet. Top floors can even provide you with a view on the sea (though obviously obstructed by other buidlings). Staff is extremely helpful and nice. Be it at the reception desk, in the restaurant or staff making the rooms. Rooms are of good size. Bed is comfortable and there is a fridge. Showers are good (pressure and temperature). Breakfast is quite repetitive but choice is good. As common in Brazil most of the items are too sweet for my taste and not quite suitable for people suffering from diabetes or pre-diabetes. The WiFi signal resp. the speed may be quite weak at times but that may also depend on the room location and the overall load as it tends to be much better late morning and early afternoon (ca 10 Mb up and download). I would definitely recommend the Ibis posto 5 for stays in Copacabana. Room pictured in the attached photographs is 1670 (top floor, room facing south west).

The room is very good, very close to the beach, there are English speakers at the front desk, communication is barrier-free. Our luggage arrived late, and the front desk was also very patient to store and take our luggage. The hotel breakfast is a local breakfast, which is less suitable for Chinese stomachs. I arrived at the hotel tired from the trip and the receptionist came with false information, that I had not paid, that the amount was outstanding, that I had to present proof of payment, what do you mean?
