I stayed there for five nights in January 2020, and have only good things to say about the hotel. Nice and clean room, good food in the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff (with good advices about where to go - and not to go), great location (400 meters from Copacabana beach and across the street from Cardeal Arcoverde metro station) and in a pretty busy and safe part of the city, with many shops and restaurants. Not too expensive rooms. They can also offer transport to the international airport for 25 real. That's much cheaper than taxi!

I was hosted in this hotel last weekend - 02 to 03/07/2022. I have contacted me, and Mrs Vanessa has answered me, she kept the forgotten pieces, and the next day she sent me for Sedex with great delight and sympathy, and I would like to congratulate her on the sensitivity and empathy shown by that person. I made a reservation of two rooms for the days 24/07/22 to 27/07/22 of B&B hotel post 5 copacabana by platform hoteis.com we opened the communication attempt at 25/07/22 and until the moment I received no return from B&B Hotel post 5 copacabana and even from hoteis.com We did a petfriendly room reservation at the hotel with safe travels hygiene process, but we arrived yesterday at the hotel and only had problems. The bathroom is full of lime, the door of the balcony is not closed completely causing noise all night, there is a green light router in the room that is on 24h, the couple bed in fact are two old single beds with shaved mole. In addition, when they arrived here, they asked me to walk with the dogs on the neck all the time, and in the exchange of the message I had to book, they only reported that the dog could not walk free but even in the guide they involved. Best choice! Hotel with great value for money. Attentive and friendly staff, good location, very close to the main tourist attractions, hearty breakfast and everything fresh. There are some homeless people nearby, but I didn't feel unsafe as there are plenty of police officers. We will definitely choose the hotel on our next visit to the river to enjoy an excellent experience again.

I actually had 2 comfortable nights at this hotel but their website just kept on charging my credit card over and over. Thankfully, it showed up on my phone, so I was able to inform the staff and show them the receipt at the time. A very helpful front receptionist said he would contact the finance department and that when I checked out early the next morning' it would all have been rectified. When I went to reception, no one could help and I was told to wait for the manager who would be on duty after my flight left..... So far, no response from this hotel and no money back.I've contacted my credit card provider and so I now have to battle to get my money back. My experience of checking in was in I’m afraid to say, truly awful. I arrived at 5am and the older gentleman checking me in was ignorant. Apparently, he was the ‘English speaker’ on duty and he completely ignored me when I asked a question. I received no information whatsoever about breakfast times, where facilities in the hotel were and he didn’t even have the good manners to look up at me when I checked in, he just opened his hand for my passport. He started huffing and getting obviously irritated when I asked if it were possible to arrange a later breakfast as I wouldn’t be getting to bed u TIL 6am, despite having to pay for the hotel for the night before. The guy actually just ignored me until I asked him directly and he didn’t even look up and said ‘no’ in a really annoyed manner. Great customer service, thanks! Thankfully, when I had need to speak to reception staff during the day, this was a much better experience. I spoke to a young woman and on another occasion a young uni man who were friendly and helpful, so much so, I decided to stay again on my return trip the following week. That was up until they kept charging my credit card, firstly through the own hotels website that said the transaction failed but charged the credit card and then again when duplicate monies had been charged by the hotel. Mistakes happen. It it how quickly and satisfactorily they are sorted that makes the difference between staying there again and avoiding it. Would I recommend staying here? Yes, breakfast is good and the hotel was clean and quiet on the 19th floor. It is dated and could do with updating but it is not bad value when they don’t empty your bank account! Just pay in cash if you’re staying there and avoid that nasty old man on reception who works at night.

The hotel follows the standard of comfort and excellence that is expected from an ibis. I closed the pool (because I was looking for a hotel in the center with a pool) when I arrived I was informed that the pool was of Novotel for a fee of 63 reals, which should be informed as well as the purchase of breakfast and parking. I looked again on the site to see where it was written and I didn't find it, I was very disappointed because I could have closed another hotel with a similar value. The team's care was wonderful, taking this disappointment we had a great stay.
