Grantley Hall

We visited for a dine and spa experience between Christmas and new year. Upon entry to the estate we were greeted by a member of staff who opened the gates and told us where to go as it was our first visit. We drove up the drive admiring the magical Christmas decorations to the main house where another member of staff waved as we made our way to the car park. This was an indication of the level of service that we experienced throughout our visit. The grounds and house were immaculate and one of the best settings we have ever visited. We had a walk around then went to the bar for a few cocktails before our meal. The Service and drinks were worth every penny. We then went to Eighty Eight for our meal where we were greeted by a host who took out coats and showed us to our table. The food and cocktail menus were perfect and we could have eaten almost any of the dishes. The food and drinks were served quickly without a compromise on presentation as they were perfect and tasted as good as they looked. Once we had finished the waiter called someone from the spa to chaperone us to the spa. The host even offered to go back to our car to collect the bags which I declined but was very impressed. We met the chaperone from the spa and walked across to find there were not many other guests making the experience even more magical. The facilities are amazing and was so relaxing for the evening. The most disappointing bit was having to leave! What a place and experience. We will be back. Thanks to all the staff that made the experience magical

WHAT A SHAME As I live near to the hotel I have been going for years The hotel is exquisite The food is very good The service is diabolical You arrive at the front door which is opened for and ushered to the bar At the bar you are left and nobody comes to serve you We spent 25 minutes waiting for a drink Then you have to ask to se a menu Then you have to ask to go to your table At the table you have to ask for a wine list The wine arrives some 10 minutes later You ask for 2 bottles to be put on ice only one is put on ice the second bottle arrives warm Our starters arrive some 20 minutes later One starter is wrong it goes back After our starters the mains arrive 45 minutes later No horseradish or mustard There is no thought or anticipation as to what the customer requires We had no desserts Arrived at 1.30 pm Left at 5.30 pm On returning home at 6.30 pm I rang the hotel to speak with Emily the Fletchers manager I GOT AN ANSWER PHONE What a shame Grantley could be so wonderful but the service is terrible This is a consistent theme as it happens on every visit VERT DISAPPOINTING

Just had a truly fabulous and very special big family (14) Christmas Day lunch treat and celebration in the Shaun Rankin private dining room. From start to finish the level of hospitality, attention to detail and of course the food was amazing 10/10. A special mention in particular to Sam who looked after us in the room, plus all the other Grantley staff whose customer service is exquisite Without any doubt Grantley Hall is one very spectacular and incredible Hotel

Visited a number of times and thought it would be a lovely way to ease into Christmas with an afternoon tea. Lovely to arrive, be greeted at the gates and drive in with amazing views of the grounds. Fab welcome and attentive team looking after us. Attention to detail was great to see as was the quality of all the savoury and sweet. Have a great Christmas team Grantley Hall and thanks again.

Excellent hotel , visited a few times. The rooms are very impressive, tastefully decorated, well appointed and spacious. Excellent breakfast, lovely meals in Fletchers. Also enjoyed the Spa. The service is excellent, the staff are so obliging. I was bought an afternoon tea voucher over 12 months ago , but never got round to using. Absolutely blown away that they extended it. So looking forward to an afternoon tea in the New Year.

I left a previous 1 star review that the hotel got removed, very poor customer service, It was a truthful review that they clearly want to keep hidden rather than respond publicly, I will not set foot at this hotel again and………………………………………..
