So this hotel is close the the train/metro station, and that’s a plus, but the hotel is at BEST average. The staff were wonderful, and I never had any issues with hotel staff or asking questions…but this hotel is in dire need of a renovation.
The shower ******, hardly any water pressure, the bed was fine, but the whole room just struck me as a step above a hostel private room.
There was a fridge, that kept things cool-ish, but not cold. There was no chair in the room, but there was a semi comfortable metal stool. They give you a small bottle of 3-1 wash for your shower, and a shower cap, so that’s a plus. And there is a hair dryer, just outside of the bathroom.
My rec, if your budget is tight and this is the only thing in your budget, it’s fine, not dirty, no bugs, friendly staff. But if you can afford a different hotel, I’d choose different. The value for money is not there.

We only stayed 1 night in transit so just needed a decent place to sleep, location was close to Rome yet just outside the chaos, I enjoyed that. The area was a little weird at first, lots of graffiti, looked dirty and some strange people under the bridge as we walked from Ostiense station but the hotel place was clean, comfy bed, it was on the tracks but the sound didn't bother me, i do sleep with earplugs though, they were very friendly on arrival too. It's right above a restaurant that seemed very popular, So it's convenient to grab a bite to eat. Overall the room served its purpose for the price.

It's very noisy because it's next to the railway track, and there is no kettle in the room. The toilet is also old-fashioned and not easy to use.

The rooms are super clean and best location for dining around Aventino! Although the walking distance between the hotel to the FAO HQ, it is worth your monies to stay here. The breakfast is also very delicious and spacious! I would highly recommend lodging at the Crossroad hotel.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, they had not only helped me when I ran into some booking issues, but they also were very helpful in regards to giving us tips and advice when it came to the trip, and generally gave us a very welcoming stay during out first leg in Italy. As for the rooms they are very comfortable, and well taken care of, yes the rooms are close to the train lines but the windows are have 3 different layers to help block out the sound which makes it much less disturbing. Additionally the neighborhood is friendly with many local restaurants I would highly recommend having one night of dinner in the hotel area. I would definitely go again, thank you Crossroad staff for such a wonderful and welcoming stay. PS. I initially had a bit of worry on their self check in process due to my own anxiety and the fact that we arrive at 2am but it was extremely smooth and easy!

6 months on from visiting Rone to run the marathon,I was back to take it on a second tine. Having enjoyed my stay at Crossroad so much the first time, there was no question of hunting for somewhere else. There were a few new menbers to the team of staff, but absolutely no change in the excellence, and friendliness of eveyone who works there;different personnel, same wonderful culture. Those who were still there from my first visit remembered me,and welcomed me back warmly. As last time,it was the small touches that make the difference:Taking an interest in my personal story, taking time to find out about my family, offering advice on how to get the most out of my trip. To use a phrase which will make most marathon runners shudder,CROSSROAD HOTEL GO THE EXTRA MILE. Grazie Mille, see you soon!!

A comfortable and very budget-friendly hotel, near supermarkets, train station, metro station, restaurants and Eataly! The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was generous and affordable. It was easy to walk around the area. There is a lift in the building.

Location is perfect because you're not in the middle of the whole tourism craziness but super close to everything important. The street where the hotel is located has very good options for bruch and dinner. The room was super clean and a very fair size. Staff couldn't be more nice and accommodating. I'll stay there again for sure.

Budget hotel very cleaned and closed to Testaccio, a famous Roman place where you can enjoy the city of Rome and not only the touristic places! Also the hotel is very smart and you can handle all the check in and your room key by your phone! Very good position closed to train line and underground.

I booked this hotel as it was very close to a place where I was attending an event. So location for me was perfect but not a great location for sight seeing Rome's attractions unless you used public transport. The closed attraction on foot was The Coliseum and it was 40 minutes walk. If you stay here ask for a room overlooking the street. My room was at the back and the view from the window once you managed to get the shutters prised apart was of a brick wall. The train station was on that side so there was some noise from trains but the hotel had provided ear plugs for guests. I found the noise of people talking downstairs in the hotel foyer middle of the night much more annoying than the trains, they did that shouty speaking which is common in Italy. The room was spotless and big enough for a solo traveller. The TV only had Italian channels and about 40 of them. The receptionist were generally helpful. The surrounding area outside was quite rundown and I was very mindful of my safety when outside. I was very pleased that reception ordered me a taxi back to the airport with a reputable company who were able to message me with ETA and charged me the correct price.

I had to travel to Rome for working purposes and I find this hotel, the price was affordable. The place is nice, the room was clean, it is located very near the blue line of metro, so it's well connected. I have no regrets, they allowed me to do the check-in early in the morning.

The staff is very kind, but the location close to the railway is not ideal for sleeping, another sore point is that from 7pm there is no staff at the reception, even if there is a number with someone always available, the strategic position relatively close to the railway station meter.

I spent 3 nights here! Convenient location a stone's throw from the Piramide metro. Small facility but nice. Friendly staff. The only thing I would "modify" is some extra attention in the room (cleanliness), for the rest, the hall and the breakfast room seemed very clean and new to me!
