Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|0.78km from Mettimi giu
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

The rooms are clean and compact but when out exploring the sites of Rome all is required is a comfy bed. The room met all needs. Would have liked a chair in the room but was happy with it. Very helpful staff. They recommended an excellent restaurant which is definitely worth going to. Good food and staff are brilliant. Very nice hotel and location couldn't be better. Breakfast is in a cafe up the street. Another fantastic little gem on Rome. The staff organised a surprise on arrival for my hubbie birthday. Extremely helpful and great to work with.

This is a boutique Hotel centrally located. We have been able to walk everywhere during our stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable with everything you would need. They offer continental breakfast in the morning and if you want more than a continental breakfast they have a few other items they offer for sale. They have a nice little patio on the back where guests can enjoy afternoon or evening drinks (byob). We will definitely stay here again if we return to Rome!

This place was more than amazing!!!!! The check -in was easy ( we arrived early so the owner said please come by and leave your luggage and we will have your room ready when you return) the lady who met us at the door was very cheerful and ready to make my sister and I comfortable and see if we had any special needs. When we returned the owner Jon Carlo met us with a very warm smile and showed us everything and informed us of where to go in Rome. I must stress that I am a seasoned traveler and for fifteen years was a flight attendant , and Jon Carlo is the most hospitable host I have ever encountered. During my stay, which was at the end of a sixteen day cruise I came down with a severe sinus issue and did not feel well, Jon Carlo called his family personal physician and had her come and examine me in my room. The physician spoke english and was very personable, and told me I needed antibiotics, and asked me to call my doctor in the USA to confirm that my regular physician approved. Jon Carlo, was so supportive and kind to me and said he would pay the physician and add it to my bill so I did not have to pay cash. The location was at the top of the Spanish Steps. You walk out the doors walk less than 200 feet and you are looking at the square and walking down the Spanish Steps. My bedroom window overlooked the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. This is a wonderful, wonderful place. Clean, Quaint, and it feels like HOME.

On the afternoon of August 20, I booked a room via Booking for 2 nights starting on August 23, and unfortunately, for an accident happened to my son, the next morning I was forced to cancel the booking. As the time limit for free cancellation has expired, I requested the cancellation without penalty, after approval of the facility. The hotel's response should have arrived within 48 hours but never arrived. Booking advised me to send a message or contact the hotel directly. I initially sent a message to the facility explaining what happened, but after a few hours, after not having received a response, I called the facility. The operator told me that he would inform me of the outcome of the request. Since it was not re-contacted, the next morning (day of scheduled departure, August 23) I sent another message, but I did not receive any answer. I called, and the man told me he didn't know anything yet, and he would call me in the first afternoon. After a few days, I checked the credit card extract and I realized that, on the same day of the booking (20 August), I was charged the entire amount of the stay, Although there was written on Booking that no advance payment was required, but I would have paid the whole amount to the facility during the stay. Furthermore, the amount to be paid in case of cancellation was lower than that charged me. I contacted the facility again by telephone to know the outcome of my request for annullation without penalty; the operator told me that the company had decided not to grant me refund. I have thus mentioned the problem of the cancellation rate, other than that charged (the rate included the residence tax and, since I did not stand up and warned in Rome for time, it seemed unsuitable to pay it, I was told that I would be re-contacted to make this figure back. It is unnecessary to say that they have never been heard. So I decided to send a complaint to the structure. The following morning (September 1st) I was called and I was asked for the Iban code to go on with the transfer. It is unnecessary to say that, although I have never stayed in this facility, I disappoint you very much because the behavior of the hotel management (never answer to my messages or a call to communicate the answers) I am not sure that the Commission has been able to make a decision on the introduction of the euro.

Rest in this hotel from January 24 to January 28. The location of the hotel is beautiful, right in the center, near the Spanish staircase. Right near the entrance of several excellent cafes. All the sights in relative pedestrian accessibility, the weather was beautiful and so walked everywhere. The room is big and comfortable that for Italy is very rare. Everything clean. Cosy. Breakfasts were delicious. Wi-Fi worked well. The room had a two-bedroom bed large and a sofa, if you wanted, three beds were fitted. The windows went out to the Spanish Embassy. The host was very kind, started writing on the phone in advance, specified the time of the check-in, offered a transfer of 50 euros in one direction. I was afraid it would be noisy, but the room was perfect silence at the closed windows. We heard nothing from the street. Now only there will stop.

Okay, hotel in good location and easy to find. Rooms basic but clean, if booking this hotel make sure you book a double standard, not economy as these are really small, so pay the extra and upgrade,it doesn't say the economy rooms are very small. No milk available for the tea and coffee facility in the room, asked at reception for some, but they had no milk, so had to go buy some from shop down road so we could make a cuppa in our room in the evening. Hotel not suitable for ppl with walking difficulties as it has a spiral staircase and a very very small lift that accommodates one person, would not fit a wheelchair or the larger person. Breakfast, well it was just continental, but with covid we was not allowed to help ourselves which we understand, but the breakfast staff / service was really poor. Waited ages for toasties /coffees, and it wasn't even busy, the staff did too much chatting to Italian guest and didn't pay attention to others or what they were doing. The breakfast was poor, not much choice, no cereals and service was very slow, not worth having tbh. This side of it was badly managed. Overall the hotel is clean, tidy reception staff friendly and helpful, but let down badly by the breakfast staff.. Overall rating 3.5/5
