This was our 2nd visit to The Strand and we were so pleased that 2nd time around it was as wonderful a stay as our first visit. It is a beautiful place, a real home from home. I really cannot fault anything about it, and Kelly and Alex are great hosts too. Rye is a very short bus trip away and it's lovely there. We are already planning our 3rd stay at The Strand before the Spring.

Kelly and Alex were so friendly and welcoming. The B&B is charming and full of character. We had a lovely room with a 4-poster bed and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Loved the honesty bar, the beautiful Christmas decorations that were put out while we were out for dinner and most of all, the very warm welcome. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very welcoming, home from home B&B. Enjoyed meals, including evening take-away, in the idyllic garden.
Good parking, many walks, and pub within easy reach. One on the "must return" list!

Strand House was a perfect venue for our family festive occasion. Interesting rooms (but watch your head on the low ceilings in the bedrooms) and a warm and cosy lounge with a log fire in the evenings. Excellent breakfast. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful in providing information about restaurants and activities. The venue and the hosts made our family get-together enjoyable and memorable. Thank you Alex and Kelly.

Our hosts were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Large room, comfy bed and great breakfasts. Very convenient for Rye and a short walk to Winchelsea which is a lovely village and well worth a visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would return again if we were in the area.

Great stay - we were in room 2, which had a great bathroom, the bed was comfy, the breakfasts were great, I liked the hoesty bar, and Alex and Kelie were very welcoming (even when we arrived late due to technical issues with cars and trains) and were happy to make dinner reservations for us. A great place to stay in a very interest6ing part of the world - highly recomjmended.

Wow! From the moment we arrived till it was time for us to leave this beautiful gem of a place we could not have been happier with our choice to stay there. Kelly and Alex were warm and welcoming and gave us just the right amount of attention throughout our stay. The accomodation was exeptional, tasteful yet quirky and it had a real sense of it being a home from home with such warmth that seemed to ooze from within the walls. They have clearly put great thought and effort into creating a stay to remember and 1 which we will certainly want to repeat. Within minutes of arriving we felt relaxed. The gardens were stunning and as for the breakfast choices...yum yum! I couldn't recommend staying here more

Ich komme wieder, das ist sicher! Ein besonderer Urlaub in einem tollen uralten und wunderbar verwinkelten Tudor-Haus mit Kaminzimmer und einem herrlichen Garten! Alex und Kelly sind sehr nett, warmherzig und jederzeit ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Es fehlt an nichts und das Frühstück im Garten oder im Haus mit offenen Flügeltüren zum Garten ist ausgezeichnet. Es gibt in der Umgebung sehr viel zu sehen und zu besichtigen: Die Stadt Rye, die Kreidefelsen Beachy Head und Seven Sisters, Hastings uvm. Mit dem Zug erreicht man London sehr unkompliziert - Insgesamt unbedingt zu empfehlen!
