The hotel is right by the lake and has a strong sulfur smell. However, the whole town is close to the hot springs and has a strong sulfur smell. The room is quiet and spacious. The only drawback is that there is no elevator in the house on the second floor, so you can only carry your luggage upstairs by yourself.

The price/performance ratio is super high. The hot spring is just a 2-minute walk downstairs from the hotel. The hotel room is also very large and convenient. There is free parking and welcome drinks. It completely exceeded expectations.

There was a building under renovation, which was facing our window, so we couldn't open the curtains at all. The room facilities were outdated, and the shower water was sometimes hot and sometimes cold, which was not a good experience. The only thing that was okay was the location, with Lake Rotorua just outside the door and Sulphur Bay very close.
