The breakfast, it did not miss anything however 20 euros it is very expensive. The spa, however the rest room a little small, only 4 chairs available. The room, perfect, spacious, tasteful, very well equipped, however the mini-bar was empty except for two free 25 ml bottles of water. No coffee machine, only a small electric kettle with a bag of chocolate, three bags of nescafé, two bags of tea, two bags of sugar...... times are hard. The restaurant is very good. Didn't like - On my way out I had the bad luck to run into a lady with glasses who was not very pleasant. After checking the bill, I noticed that the two dishes (of the day) consumed in the restaurant were charged to me at 29 euros a piece, whereas they were displayed on the card at 18 euros and on the poster in the elevator at 18 euros. I remarked to her, her colleague, who had followed the conversation next to her, told her to credit me 22 euros, because the error (if there is one) is attributable to the establishment. In spite of that, this lady is obstinate and categorically refuses to credit me the 22 euros. I go in the elevator and take a picture of the card, show her that my statements were correct, she still refuses to credit me by inventing some lame excuse. So I didn't insist anymore and paid 22 euros more than I really owed. I am very disappointed by the non-commercial attitude of this employee and therefore of the hotel, and I have the photos of my bill and the card available to anyone who wants them to guarantee the veracity of my story. The hotel has a parking lot, but beware, paying 16 euros per day ........... The heating in the room is not adjustable, there is a thermostat, but whether you increase or decrease the temperature, it remains the same, the temperature of the rooms is probably managed by the hotel. The common rooms of the hotel are very little heated, some are freezing, like the reception.....the times are hard....

just spent 3 nights here. Super freindly, helpful reception staff - ( specially Soukaina - you star. Sooo helpful and kind !!!) We had an upgrade to a larger room. which was nice. 2 really comfy beds and a large sofa. Tea coffee in the room ( although we had to constantly ask for these to be replenished ). Although opposite the train station we never heard a thing. really effective double glazing. The only downside for us was the hotel facilities . I chose this hotel because it had a restaurant attached and a bar. Sadly our meal at the restaurant was poor so we only ate there once. and we never saw the bar open so couldn't relax of an evening and have a drink there, the seating area was always set up ready for breakfast. But it was still a lovely stay. Its about a 10 - 15 min walk down hill to the town... so remember its uphill at the end of the night !! :).

A good clean and simple hotel. A brilliant location with its on car park, if you are parking at the hotel car park the spaces are very tight. The hotel is in a great location easy walking distance to the cathedral and other attractions. We’ve used this hotel as stop over on our way back to Calais from The LoireI and it was perfect, only 2 hours away. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Positives. Easy to find. In good location, 5-10 minute walk from historic centre. Secure parking available. Relatively cheap. Reception staff were lovely and helpful. Bed Linen seemed clean. From there on its pretty negative. Parking is tight and limited. (i saw two people scrape their cars on walls and ceilings within 15 mins). Inconveniently placed concrete curbs and bollards make it tricky to get in and out with anything larger than a hatchback. Also had to block the entrance for everyone else whilst my wife got the access key from reception as there isn't a waiting bay for new arrivals outside the hotel. Hotel interior was dated and scruffy. Carpets dirty, reception smells of stale cigarettes. Overflowing cigarette ashtrays in the garden/terrace (which is basically the dead space between buildings filled with garden furniture. Room was small, dated decor, and lots of things were broken. Bed had a massive dip in it where springs had broken. Bath had black mould around. Light fixtures and telephone was handing off the wall. Hairdryer in bathroom was broken. Curtain didn’t pull far enough so room was bathed in light from 5:00. Walls paper thin. Unusual layout for hotel room, bathroom next to main bed. Toilet literally 1 metre from your bedside table (not much privacy). Had to sit on toilet at an angle because I could fit my knees in otherwise. Unfortunately there was a lack of care given to cleaning. Dust and hair under beds. We had used tea making kit still in the tray, and the toilet roll (which is housed in a black box rather than being lose) hadn’t been checked meaning we ran out after two sheets. Black mould around the bath. We were only given two towels despite them knowing we were three. Given shower gel to use as hand soap. Only 1 pillow each. Great location if you want to walk into town easily. Only 5 mins from historical centre. Although I would add that its right next to a massive busy road. Our room was at the back of the building on a working night so this didn’t affect us. (back of the room overlooks the smoking garden so it could be noisy if there were people out there). Reception staff really lovely, spoke very good English, and were accommodating of our terrible attempts at French. Breakfast was basic (continental style). Toast, jams, low quality patisseries. Sweaty jambon and fromage in a fridge cabinet, cereal, hot dogs ??? Yogurts and juice. Coffee machine. Tea making facility. Tubs of varying quality fruit salad. Most of the residents on the Wednesday morning that we attended seemed to be preparing for work. I assume that this hotel stays afloat by doing as little as possible but keeping things cheap so that they appeal to businesses trying to minimise cost. All in all it was a convenient place to stay for one night on our way through. But I wouldn’t stay here again even if it was half the price. Plenty of better options unless you are last minute desperate.

We are frequent European travellers, used to comparing and contrasting. A nice little hotel and good value too. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, food, alcohol or anything else. The room was clean and comfortable (interesting colour scheme but not unacceptable) and there were eateries available in the shopping centre across the road. The centre was but a short tram ride away. My wife was not so keen onthe location but I was content overall. A nice little hotel.

Made an overnight stop here having done the same two years ago. Nothing has changed, the rooms are very small and don't seem to have been decorated but parking is easy in the underground car park (4.5 euros). They are taking measures due to Covid 19 at the moment and enforcing face covering rules very strictly. Check in wasn't friendly but reception staff were better the next morning. Breakfast consisted of a croissant and roll in a paper bag which you took outside as the dining room is shut. This wasn't mentioned when booking and they charged the full breakfast price which isn't really fair. Basically, a convenient stopover place en route to better things but OK if you can get a good deal on the price.

Good points - clean, comfortable rooms (great pillows!) excellent wifi and friendly charming staff. BUT we had asked for a hotel with secure parking, a restaurant and double bed. This hotel said it had all three. The hotel did have a car park but it had a height restriction of 2m - same as our car so we couldn't use it. Our fault for having a high car but we would not have chosen that hotel had we known. I mentioned this (nicely) in a review and they said it was on the website no it is not, the website says ”secure covered parking”. We were lucky to grab a parking spot in a dark side road as someone was just leaving. Did not feel comfortable leaving our packed car there but had no choice. The hotel did have a restaurant but only for breakfast. Not mentioned before. Obviously couldn't drive anywhere so the friendly receptionist gave us a map to a local shopping mall 10/15 minutes walk away apparently the only place to eat around there. The roads were dark, mainly deserted and there were a lot of graffiti covered buildings. It didn't feel safe but we had no choice. I am sure in the summer and daylight it will be fine but in the dark winter, not a great experience. The shopping mall had a good selection of fast food outlets. We had one night in France, with all due respect to KFC that's not exactly what we had been hoping for. Our fault but I am guessing others may too have greater expectations of French food. Double room was twin beds. One night, no problem, but just added to the overall unpleasant experience. Did have a great bottle of wine in the hotel bar when we got back!

We stayed here for a long weekend in April, it is a lovely hotel, clean, comfortable and in a very quiet location. It is a short drive from the centre of Rouen or a very easy ride on the bus, which is free on Saturdays! The restaurant is very nice and very reasonably priced for a set 2 course dinner. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Karen in particularly went above and beyond to help us with information for the buses and the new low emission zone stickers that are now required for Rouen. Private parking which was ideal for our motorbikes and a lovely garden to sit in if the weather is nice. Highly recommended.

WWENKEThe hotel is very new, well decorated, simple and generous. The location is very good, turn right when you go out and the square There is a parking garage, but it is too narrow to drive in, and finally parked in a nearby parking lot is not expensive The size of the room is ok, there is space to open the suitcase, and the bathroom is better decorated and updated The front desk service attitude was much better when checking out the next day The disadvantage is that a small piece of blood was found on a pillow, and hygiene needs to be improved. It would be better if there is a conditioner

Ibis Styles Rouen Centre Rive Gauche is easy to find and has plenty of private parking, both at ground level and underground. Check in was friendly and efficient. The hotel is a fair walk from the town centre but there is a very convenient bus service running past the hotel every 8 minutes or so. It is the T4 and you buy your ticket at the machine at the bus stop. It is one ticket per journey and you validate it when you board the bus. The most convenient stop for the old town is Vieux Marche and, coming back, the stop for the hotel is Chartreux. Our room is is modern but with the very limited storage space that you expect with Ibis, i.e. some open shelving and hanging racks instead of drawers and wardrobe. To be fair, it’s what I expected and it’s ok for a short stay. Other facilities include a large, wall mounted television and modern bedside lamps that you feel obliged to swing out of the way so that you don’t injure yourself getting out of bed. Talking of which, it is a large, very comfortable double bed for two people - but only one of us gets a bedside table - which I assume isn’t deliberate policy, so it’s just missing. Oh - and there’s a small table in the room, but no chair. There’s either some serious stupidity here or junior management need to have a look at all rooms to ensure all appropriate furnishings are present. On the mega plus side - the smart en-suite bathroom contained just about the best shower I’ve ever used. The buffet breakfast was fine, with the continental staples of fresh fruits, juice, yogurts etc with main items being the ubiquitous ham and cheese. You can also boil yourselves some eggs if you like (I was hoping for some scrambled!). A main problem was people having to queue for coffee from the single, working coffee machine, and for some reason they put the breads etc right behind where the coffee queue will be, so you need to break through the line to grab some bread or cake. Again, this should be an easy fix by (a) getting a second coffee machine up and running and (b) making sure that the coffee machine doesn’t hinder access to other areas. Taking the package as a whole, the price and facilities here are good for a near city centre hotel with parking. And here’s a little tip if you like a beer and don’t want to go into the city centre - La Civette des Chartreux is a splendid local bar just between the hotel and the bus stop. The bottom line is that this made a good base for a short visit to this fabulous city, and we would happily stay here again.

GGuest UserGreat place for a stopover. Hotel is close to river with numerous restaurants. Disconcerting was having to ring a bell to gain access to hotel. However greeted by a rally nice an friendly receptionist. Car parking is 12 euros. There is a height restriction and would suspect difficult to get a larger SUV into underground carpark. Very steep and narrow. Make sure you remember passcode as need that to gain access to parking area and hotel. Big surprise was size of room which was able to divide into two by a curtain. Contained a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine as well as a safe. Able to buy microwavable meals in reception. Bed comfortable and whole room felt clean and fresh. Nice size bathroom with both bath and shower as well as hair dryer. Separate toilet. Our view was over a modern courtyard. Not nicest of views. Would ask for a river view. For location and comfort would definitely stay again.

Great stop in a town we have been meaning to visit for a while now, but usually are in too much of a rush and stay in out of town hotels for ease of parking etc with a car filled with luggage. This is a brilliant compromise - secure parking (which is chargeable but quite reasonable at €8 for 24hrs) or you can park on the street very close by for free. It is co-branded with Ibis Styles, which means the public areas are higher standard than the normal Budget stops, with seperate lifts for the Styles part (presumably with bigger rooms) and the Budget side. As it is only opened a few years it was in very good condition and scrupuplously clean and we were perfectly happy with the budget rooms. As other have said, there is no food offer in the evening but you are welcome to bring or order food in and there are some pretty decent restaurants within walking distance, or the town centre is a 10 minute bus ride away with buses running until late. We chose to bring in steak-frites from a fantastic little takeaway 2 minutes walk from the hotel - quality to shame restaurants charging 2-3 times the price (there is also a Carrefour City nearby if you want salad with it). The bar at the hotel is well stocked and we really enjoyed our stay. I understand the comment about breakfast - coffee, juice and croissants are all good but the cold meats, cheeses etc were not inviting and we didn't bother - but plenty of choice nearby or in town.

Ddigbyl177Stayed on our way north to Calais, easy access from the motorway. The hotel is just as good as in the past. The parking is good & secure and well worth the 3 euro's. Reception now has printed laminated cards to show how to access the parking. Not difficult but having reception on one exit from the roundabout and the car park entrance on another is likely to confuse. Just email reception and they'll send the map. Good big clean rooms with good views of the rugby ground at the back. sadly we've never caught a game. Take care when leaving as the roundabout in front can be very, very busy. Oh and you don't get designer waste bins in that many hotel rooms, you do here. Our son loved the shower in the disabled room he stayed in. Having stayed in a few places in Rouen this offers the bets value in our book.

MMargo TokUnfortunately we did not use this hotel, after booking the room on trip.com it turned out that there were no rooms in this hotel. The lady in the reception laid out her hands and offered us to stay in another hotel. We were transferred to the Campanille Hotel.Far from a city with taxi fee in its own range. Scandal. But such things happen. We were unhappy at the remote hotel, however, we spent a nice three days in the beautiful city of Rouen. The request for the hotel reception is that you use more to check your reservations and notify any changes a little earlier so that you don't stay under the sky.and the end was huge.

It is a small hotel, which feels like an old French house. The decor isn’t modern but it has lots of character. The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. The only issue for some is that the front of the hotel is opposite a popular bar, so for light sleepers it is noisy. But, they have rooms on the 5th floor (up an extra flight of stairs) which are more peaceful. Mine was a small double but with wooden beams, it was lovely.

I spent 3 1/2 weeks staying in this hotel in France with my choir in January 2023. The slidey toilet doors were frustrating, there was an extremely large amount of mould (of which only a very small amount was dealt with), the key cards had an annoying habit of randomly cancelling, the shower took forever to warm up, and the receptionists could range from bored and curt, to really friendly. However, the breakfast was big and filling, the old, small lift was charming, and it was nicely located. Although I probably woudn't stay there again, the hotel was perfectly adequate for my time in France.
