Adorable staff, very beautiful lodge, delicious food (we are both vegetarian and the team accommodated to our needs without any issues), excellent guides/ safari drivers. Absolutely recommend. They also offer boat rides, which are great

negative point: arrival at 5 p.m. for 2 nights I was told that the room was not ready following a late departure then I was told that there was a leak in the bathroom and that they were trying to repair it before the check-in finally at 9:30 p.m. still no room and for good reason: I understand that they were overbooked and that there are no more rooms available! In the end, having no real information and going from lie to lie, without any possibility of seeing the manager, I asked to be accommodated in another lodge. Arrival at the new lodge at 10:30 p.m., 5 and a half hours of waiting on the sofas in the entrance hall without coherent information, or even a drink! A manager who is incapable of handling the situation The following night: return to the Kinga. positive point: the staff is very nice, the lodge is clean and comfortable

We had a great stay. The lodges offer a great view of the river, the staff is very attentive and courteous. The pool was good and we were provided with towels. There were a few minor cosmetic defects in the lodges, but they didn't detract from the overall experience. The food was also very tasty, although simple. We would choose this accommodation again at any time. It is about 15 minutes by car over bumpy roads to Nyerere National Park. Many thanks to the crew.

The lodge presents itself well, see other review platforms. However, it is more show than substance. Luxury looks very different. During our stay, the power went out several times, which is not unusual in Tanzania. The lodge does not have a generator, however. But at around 10 p.m. the power was - presumably - switched off and only switched back on again at around 6 a.m. the following day. The consequence was that we had no light for the entire night and had to make do with flashlights. The WiFi did not work in the morning either - despite the power. This also raises the question of how the food is cooled. In our opinion, none of this has anything to do with luxury, but is miles away from it, especially the sanitary facilities. In our opinion, the lodge does not even come close to representing a reasonable price-performance ratio. Location & surroundings The path to the lodge leads through a long stone floor that is probably covered in algae to the lodge and to the rooms. This was a slippery affair, despite sturdy shoes. Rooms We had a lodge with a view of the lake. There are no windows in the room, but mosquito nets, so it was very hot in the room. The air conditioning that everyone mentions is not there. There is just a fan above the bed and one next to the bed. The bathroom has two showers, for whatever reason. The showers were very heavily calcified, so that water was also leaking outside the shower head. The faucet on the sink was completely calcified. The toilet seat had two large and deep cracks, making it painful to use the toilet. The hairdryer that was supposed to be there was unfortunately not there. We did not use the safe because it did not work, but we did not ask whether they would repair it. In summary, the room looks very old and worn. Service Doris, the waitress and receptionist, was completely fine. She was really helpful and friendly. The man who brought our suitcases to the room was also extremely courteous. We had little contact with the staff. The contact with the staff we did have was always friendly. When we asked, we were given a power adapter for the room, which we had unfortunately forgotten. One point was deducted for the organization, which could be improved. Despite knowing that we were being picked up for the safari at a specific time, we were "forced" to fill out a questionnaire as feedback when we left. This could have been done an hour earlier. For example, it took quite a long time (despite the fact that there were only 6 guests in total) for breakfast to be served. Gastronomy The evening meal was not for vegetarians or vegans.

We spent the evening of December 31st in this lodge. Very well received with a fresh mango juice. Smiling and very pleasant staff. Very good and plentiful meal! The breakfast was really perfect! We had a small traditional Massai dance show. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Mosquito nets around the beds. No air conditioning, just a fan. We did not use the swimming pool because too little time.

We had an issue arriving in Tanzania with another tour company and had been left stranded at the airport. We made contact with Selous Kinga and their team went above and beyond to resolve and ensure we had a fantastic stay. All the team were so helpful and friendly and keen to ensure we had an amazing trip ….which we did. Nothing was too much trouble. The game drives were awesome, our driver Molee, guide Nixon and support team Saleh and Jackson were outstanding. What srarted as a stressful experience at the airport ended up being a wonderful experience that we will treasure forever and we feel we made new friends. We hope to return in the future.

3-night stay in a calming environment. Welcome and support by all the entire staff as everyone was very attentive. Family-style but tasty cuisine as well as different “picnics” every day for our safaris. Very careful service from Daniel's team and the very pleasant company of Saleh, the manager. The African-style “huts” are simple and clean. Comfortable bedding and we love the decor! Fan, natural air conditioning 😉 Allow 30 minutes to enter/exit the park, the only small inconvenience. Loved this stay and highly recommend Kinga Lodge.

The safari with our guide was really great! He explained everything in detail and could tell us a lot about the wildlife. The lodge was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. The team responded to every wish. The food at the lodge was freshly prepared and tasted very delicious. We thank everyone for this unforgettable experience and can only recommend it.
