Wir verbrachten 5 Tage in der bestens ausgestattet und gepflegten Cottage. Die Lage mit Blick auf das Meer ergänzt mit zwei perfekten Gastgebern machten unseren Aufenthalt zu einem echten Highlight. Das morgendliche Frühstück, frisch zubereitet von Peter und jeden Tag wieder mit neuen Kreationen - einfach herrlich.

We visited Russell for the first time, and we stayed at Arcadia Lodge. What a Jewel in the crown. Greg and Peter welcomed us into their beautiful home as if we were family. The house and location are fantastic. The view is stunning. Nothing is too much trouble, and Peter and Greg booked us into excellent restaurants and provided us with useful information on where to visit. Breakfast was on the terrace and was without a doubt the best we have had on this trip. Fabulous homemade and beautifully prepared fruits and cereal. In addition Peter prepared amazing scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and capers on sour dough bread and fritters. Toast and banana cake. I will be trying some of his recipes when I get home. I am coeliac and Peter provided me with similar to everyone else without wheat, and it was obvious the effort he went to to do this and ensure everything was wheat free. Absolutely outstanding.

Lovely historic lodge overlooking sparkling Matahuwi Bay. Elegant yet comfortable. Detail perfect. Spotless. Delicious, unique breakfasts served on the terrace each morning. Hosts went above and beyond expectations to sort out some travel issues and make our stay perfect. Thank you again, Peter and Greg.

Arcadia Lodge is the perfect place to stay in Russell with gorgeous rooms and stunning scenery, and made all the better by wonderful hosts Greg and Peter who provide a delicious breakfast. We will be sure to stay again when back in Bay of Islands. Thank you

Wir haben 3 Tage im Cottage übernachtet. Einfach traumhaft. Perfekt ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe stilvoll gestaltet. Terrasse mit Blick über die Bucht. Bilder, Stoffe, Möbel: alles passt. Besser geht nicht. Dazu die beiden total netten Besitzer Greg und Peter, die sich sehr gut und hilfsbereit um ihre Gäste kümmern. Das täglich neu gestaltete Frühstück wird von Peter frisch und lecker zubereitet Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

You simply have to stay here , spectacular location , beautiful views of the bay from the balcony . The lodge is exquisitely furnished and the breakfasts divine . Greg and Peter , you are the perfect hosts . A real pleasure to meet you both and hope to return again very soon . Xx

A delightful location within easy walking distance toi the historic town of Russell, hosts Greg and Peter were very knowledgeable and were happy to pass on this information to their guests. Peter’s breakfasts were superb, having them on the deck added to the vibe. Greg was able to recommend suitable restaurants for our evening meals.

Auf unserer Rundreise durch Neuseeland haben wir auch 3 Nächte bei Peter und Greg im Arcadia übernachtet. Das über 100 Jahre alte Haus wurde liebevoll von den Beiden renoviert und ist ein Juwel zum übernachten. Jedes Zimmer ist stilvoll dekoriert. Man fühlt sich hier direkt wohl. Auch die Lage, mit direktem Blick auf das Meer, ist ausgezeichnet. Besonders erwähnt sei auch das erstklassige Frühstück, bei dem man merkt, dass hier ein ehemaliger Koch, sein Bestes gibt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen, falls wir noch einmal nach Neuseeland kommen.

Kind and helpful hosts. Excellent breakfasts with dietary restrictions well accommodated. Freedom to have our morning coffee when desired. Great room and amenities. We would be hard pressed to find a better location. Hosts were very helpful with recommendations.
