This was a business trip of sorts with family and friends for a very special event. The hotel is quite wonderful in every respect. The staff go out of their way to make everyone welcome. The rooms are immaculate and very clean and so comfortable, food lovely, breakfast fantastic. Everyone goes the extra mile and we would definitely without hesitation stay here again. Thank youxxxx

We had a great stay here at the beginning of August. On check in we were welcomed by a friendly member of staff and shown to our room. The room itself was excellent, very clean and spacious, it had everything we could need including a nifty coffee machine with ample pods to choose from. We dined in the restaurant for our evening meal, the food was top notch and the portion sizes were extremely generous, we were so stuffed after our starters we couldn’t finish our mains. Plenty of drinks to choose from on the menu too, and the waiting staff were excellent. We found the bed really comfy, and both had a great nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was really well cooked and there was plenty of choice on the continental side of things. Overall a great stay and a great hotel.

Perfect from start to finish. Very reasonably priced for a suite, well worth the tiny bit extra it cost to upgrade. The room was beautiful, IMMACULATE, not a speck of dust anywhere, very tastefully decorated to suit the room. The bed was fantastic and so comfortable. The staff were an absolute credit to the owner. Super friendly and helpful. Couldn't do enough for you. The service was excellent. The lamb was so good my partner had it 2 nights in a row, the chefs were fantastic, plenty vegetarian options for me and the chef was more than happy to cater for something different as long as he had the ingredients. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Every part of the hotel was beautiful. Very tastefully decorated and the cleanest hotel I've stayed in for years. Lovely and quiet and very tranquil, perfect for a romantic birthday/anniversary. I couldn't find a single fault. Definitely onc of the best hotel stays I have ever had. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Brilliant stay from start to finish. Staff very helpful, bedroom incredible (Room 1) and food excellent. Room was very well furnished, had great facilities and was absolutely spotless. Had dinner and breakfast with no fuss and great service.

We stayed the night before last. From the welcome at check-in through to the final farewell from the staff there on duty, the hospitality shown and the quality of the hotel were just what we needed. Lovely hotel, lovely room, first class breakfast and outstanding staff. Genuinely warm welcome and superb hospitality throughout the stay. Nothing was too much trouble and every request we had was met with service which went above and beyond. Michelle, Chris and Gill (sorry don't know anyone else's names) were excellent and treated us with real warmth and kindness. Everything was clean, tidy and not a speck of dust anywhere. The hotel has just been refurbished and you can feel the love and care which has gone into it. The grounds are beautiful and it's a perfect base for exploring the Lake District. We will be back.
