We had an excellent canoe trip at Eden Gardens. John met us, showed us our canoe, paddles, buoyancy aids, then gave us a helpful briefing. We paddled up the Black River which was very peaceful and beautiful. We saw several white tipped eagles soaring in the sky overhead, which was fabulous. At the bridge we turned around and paddled back, then out into the lake, which was also beautiful. A lovely relaxing day. Highly recommended! We will definitely be going back again.

We are a family of seven adults traveling from the west coast of the US. We spent over two weeks driving three Scandinavian countries and this property was the highlight. The house was lovely and the owner John could not have been kinder or more accommodating. The setting is magical. Highly, highly recommended.

This was the third time I’ve rented a canoe from Edens Garden and each time it’s been a lovely experience. We had a very warm welcome and good instructions for the canoe. We then paddled up river as far as the bridge and then back down to the far end of the lake and back - stopping for lunch at the jetty. We only saw two other people over the entire four hours but the wildlife was great - especially the birds of prey including white-tailed eagle, honey buzzard, osprey and hobby. This is such a mindful experience, paddling along the water with only the sounds and sights of nature to accompany you on the way.

Wir hatten einen super Urlaub hier. Kanu, Fahrrad und vieles mehr direkt vor Ort. Die Gastgeber super zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Bibertour ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auch der Hot Tub war super und mit viel liebe vorbereitet. Hier merkt man mit wie viel Herzblut Edens Garden geführt wird. Außerdem gab es netten Katzenbesuch und Apfelbäume direkt vorm Haus. Wirklich sehr idylisch und alles super ruhig. Die große Villa hatte alles was man braucht und noch viel mehr. Hier kommt man wirklich gerne wieder.

Wij hebben een week in de stuga gezeten. Wat was het genieten in dit heerlijke huisje met prachtig uitzicht! Gastvrije verhuurders, schoon, lekkere bedden en prima keuken en douche. We hebben kunnen wandelen, fietsen, kanoën, bevers gespot, relaxen aan het meer en genoten van een dagenslunch in de haven van Vasteras. Een plek om zeker terug te komen!

We‘ve just spent 6 fantastic days staying at Edens Garden Cottage, it’s in a beautiful setting overlooking a lake. Facilities are great, we made good use of the BBQ and the outside seating area. John is a great host. Wildlife is amazing, from the cottage veranda we saw; Camberwell Beauty butterfly, White Tailed Eagle, Osprey, Montagu’s Harrier, Marsh Harrier,Pied Flycatcher, Cranes and so much more! We had over a hundred species of birds within a 15 mile circumference of the cottage. highly recommend Eden Garden Cottages. Looking forward to returning next year
