A pleasant surprise! Priced like a mid-range hotel, but feels like a boutique! Mid-century feel in the room, luxurious personal items. Very private & city views! Excellent service from staff & ambience suggestive if it’s 1800’s history!

We’re only a couple days into our stay and I’m frustrated and disappointed. The frustration started with the check in process. We arrived early and knew a room may not be available. We were told we would receive a text message as soon as one was cleaned and ready. We sat in the lobby adjacent, just 20 feet away from the desk waiting. We observe several people leaving the counter with room keys in hand. Some friends of ours checked in while we were sitting in the lobby and were given a room with a $25 early check in fee. That was never offered to us. I approached the desk to inquire why we hadn’t received a text message if a room became available and why people arriving after us were given rooms. No good answer BUT good news they have a room. I inquire about the microwave I had reserved weeks prior. Oh those are all spoken for sorry. Get to our room, it only has 1 bed I called down to the desk and was asked if I had touched anything in the room upon entering. I was asked to return to the front desk to get my new room keys. Upon entering our room we notice it’s rather warm. Fiddle with the thermostat unit which is set to 65 and there’s no difference in the fan speed between high medium and low. Next day call the front desk to request AC service and fresh towels. Nothing. Called again. Nothing. Next morning, called again and received towels. Supposedly the air was fixed while we were out for the day, but nothing has changed in regards to comfort. The pillows are terrible and the beds are on the soft side. The hotel is ready for some upgrades as the carpet is worn and dirty throughout the hallways. The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful, oh and one housekeeper was able to find me a microwave that the front desk staff insisted was not available. Hmmm

I spent one night at this uniquely styled hotel with historical accents in central Salt Lake City. It is just a block or so from the Gallivan tram stop (green line from the airport). It is also convenient to downtown attractions and restaurants. The lobby offers seating to work or relax, though I needed a private space for this. Rather than charge me for a late check out, the General Manager let me use a meeting room, complementary. I really appreciate his accommodation. If you have breakfast included, you are given a voucher to use (up to $15) at the attached restaurant next door. Note that gratuity is not included. I did not bring cash and after getting some from my room, I returned, but did not find my server and was pressed for time. My apologies to him. The Peery is the only hotel outside of the Waldorf Astoria where I have stayed that has double sinks in the bathroom. If one is so inclined, it also includes a jetted tub. I am a shower only girl myself. This is the only hotel I remember that has glass mugs for coffee or tea rather than disposable cups. The heater was noisy and perhaps historic charm, though some areas of the floor squeak.

The bed is large and the room is large. The hotel breakfast is relatively simple and very close to the city centre. I took a taxi at the airport and collected 30 pieces. These old hotels abroad are basically showers that cannot be held. It was snowing the night, the next day was fine, and the photos taken in the room.

I recently stayed at this Sheraton Hotel and was totally disappointed with my experience. The fact that I used my suite upgrade being a Titanium Elite Bonvoy even made it worse. I have stayed in a number of Sheraton Hotels and by far, this is the worst of them all. First of all, the reception people were not so customer friendly. We came in around 2:20 p.m. thinking that our room will be ready by then. The front desk clerk said that please come back in about 45 minutes as the room is being worked on. We came back an hour later and to my surprise, the room was still not ready and that it will take another 30 minutes or so to be ready. After patiently waiting around, when we finally get to our Suite, it was not at par with Sheraton or Marriott standards. It looked like the remodeling was halted 3/4 of the way as it can be seen with the toilet bowl looking so badly done. Furniture were dusty. The room look so ancient. Breakfast was also bad as there was a human hair with the bacon that was being served. A few of the patrons saw the hair and told the kitchen and finally took away the pan of bacon and replaced it with a new one.

Real good hotel during convention period. Room is spacious and clean. Essential places like shopping mall, restaurant especially Korean foods and church etc are closed to this hotel. I am very much satisfied except breakfast which is too high compared to simple buffet foods.

Everything from check-in too leaving couldn’t have been better. Our room was an Executive View Twin Bed Suite on the 20th floor (no.2095) with balcony and an amazing view, very spacious with wonderfully comfy beds. The breakfasts are exceptional and the restaurant food also. Not forgetting the staff who were all very courteous, helpful and friendly. Would not hesitate to book The Grand America again

I recently spent a week (second week of April) staying at this property and knew when booking it that I had to keep my expectations in check. The location was great for access to the car rental agency, airport and downtown locations I planned my week around. There is a Denny's, McDonalds and a killer good Mexican restaurant all with in a block or two. The property is worn and dated but all common areas are clean and without any musty or overpowering smells. The rooms are surprisingly large and I was quite comfortable with my bedding and pillows. The unfortunate thing was that during my visit they were unable to provide any air conditioning as their system was still set for winter. After returning to my room on the second day and finding it at 85 degrees I had to discuss options with the desk. They were very understanding and were able to move me to a cooler room that I was able to deal with after buying a fan from the local Walmart. I did note that the toilet paper holder was askew and partially pulled from the wall. The metal towel holder had at one time been ripped from the wall and reinstalled without any concern for the resulting sharp edges from the resulting damage. My smoke detector was not mounted to the ceiling but instead resided on the shelf inside the closet. For me these were all little things, excepting for the air conditioning, and inconveniences I could handle. If my wife had been with me the place would not have worked and I felt for those guys that were checking in with their female partners. This is basically one of those places where traveling construction crews utilize (at least during my stay it was). The staff is friendly, accommodating and left working with what they have do deal with the best they can. I almost got what I expected when booking this chain, however I have had excellent past stays at other Comfort Inn locations. Salt Lake City is very easy to maneuver and knowing that now, I would not hesitate to look for a better stay a little further from the central city. Would I stay again? Only by myself and on a tight budget. It was not terrible, unsafe, or dirty and did what I needed - just don't expect too much with the price.

I had to book this room last minute to deal with a family emergency in the city. The photos looked decent and reviews said it was clean and the price was great. When we arrived late in the evening, the guy behind the desk was apathetic, and actually rather rude. The stairwell up to the third floor was the beginning of my feelings that this may have been a mistake. Between the back alley feel and the phallus shaped artwork on the windows were pretty demoralizing. The cart full of junk outside the door of the room next to us didn't help. Inside the room, I immediately noticed that the walls were scuffed all over and that you could see where light fixtures had been changed. The carpet had stains and was pretty worn. MY wife found some long black hair on the towels in the bathroom, and all they supplied were a pair of bath towels. When she asked the gentleman in the lobby for replacements, he provided a single towel, forcing her to ask for another, and then a hand towel and washcloth. He was pretty rude about the whole thing. Our room had a window facing West Temple, and it's only a single pane so the road noise was significant when compared to a room in other places. There was a lack of outlets that were easily accessible next to the bed, so if you travel with a CPAP, be ready to mobe the bed to plug in. The bed was clean, and the Tempurpedic mattress was nice, but the box spring had obviously been victim to a cat that decided to sharpen its claws. After an OK night's sleep, we took morning showers. In the shower, it looks like the tile had been painted over, and the paint was peeling badly. The worst part of the room in my book is in the shower. The showerhead provided a mere dribble and was simply the most disappointing shower I've ever had in my life. It's a shame, because this property, has some real potential to be a really cool place, so I hope the owners can take this review as constructive criticism and make some improvements.

GGuest UserThis is a great place to stay. I’ve stayed here several times for a night at a time, when flying out the next day. They have an amazing Mongolian Beef rice bowl, great beds+pillows.. It’s clean, friendly, and best of all great service. Today I flew in in a snowstorm. The shuttle driver took me right to my car, so I wouldn’t have to drag my suitcase through the slush in the parking lot, then he put my suitcase in my trunk, AND brushed the snow off my car. Seriously? All my stays here have been great, but this one was above and beyond. It’s a gem, a well kept secret. Part of me didn’t want to write this because I don’t want it to be difficult to book in the future. My only suggestion is perhaps the desk attendant could give customers a map with their room marked. Sometimes finding the room is difficult due to the way it’s laid out. For me this is a minimal complaint and the rest of this establishment makes up for it!

LLaoguobaThis one in Salt Lake City, the room was fine. Meet expectations. Breakfast is also quite satisfactory. Only disappointment and upset was that I left the next day and the $198 deposit was never cancelled. Yes, it has been 11 days. I called the front desk on 7.16, and the female staff replied about 4 working days. As a result, looking at it today, all Marriott's Springhills have not been cancelled. But what stands out is that there is a $20 deposit for other Springhills suites. This 198, why? Salt Lake City expensive? Aren't you worried that such an inefficient cancellation of the deposit will affect your guests' next itinerary? Not everyone has a $30,000 credit card limit and can ignore your slow refunds. Regarding this hotel in Salt Lake City, it has bad reviews. It is recommended not to go if you are concerned about the speed of returning the 198 deposit.

GGuest UserThe bed wasn’t as comfortable as other places I have stayed, but it was ok. I liked that the air conditioner was not right next to the bed and there was a refrigerator and microwave. Also it was great to be able to get a cup of tea in the afternoon. Breakfast was great and everything was at the right temperature. The little store part was great too. I forgot a razor and was able to buy one.

GGuest UserThis is the first time I stayed here and I'll be back. It's right next to the Salt Palace convention center which makes it incredibly convenient. It's reasonably priced and each room has some great kitchen features in it. Also, breakfast is included. There are several great restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff here is fantastic as well. I was hoping to get a muffin before they cleared breakfast, but I just missed it and the staff brought the bread tray back out for me to select from. Genni & William are great and very helpful. Genni waited with me until my Uber came to make sure I got in and got on my way to the airport okay. This is above and beyond what I've seen at other hotels in the area. Having kitchen utensils/items in the room was great for when I ended up staying in the room more than expected due to a tooth issue. I could easily heat up food and having a dishwasher meant I didn't have to do a lot with the dishes. If I was staying in Salt Lake longer, I'd definitely choose here because I could use the kitchen area to make sure I ate decent food. The only thing I wish is that they had a larger selection in their Marketplace area. Overall a great place to stay.

GGuest UserI had a stay Feb 5-6, 2023 for a ground floor room w/ a single bed because I'm 100% handicapped from my military service during Vietnam. I called Microtel twice on 2/1 & again on 2/4, to confirm that I had a 1 bed ground floor rm. Both times the clerks assured me that it was in their system. I showed up Feb 5th around 3:30pm, & was told by the rude female desk clerk that there's no ground floor rooms available. I told her that I had called twice on different days & was assured that the notes were in the system. She finally checked again & put me in a ground floor room, that wasn't very clean, but I accepted it, since there wasn't any other ground floor rooms available according to her. That evening the room above me kept dropping things, & it sounded like being in a bowling alley w/ the loud noises. Later, a family came in the room next door to me, & the kids started yelling, screaming & pounding on the walls. I called the front desk a couple of times, but no answer. It finally stopped around 10pm. The next morning, I went to take a shower. There wasn't any hot water, & the soap & shampoo dispensers were empty. I called the front desk & again, no answer. Afterward, a Mexican guy apparently had a key to my room & came in, w/o knocking or anything. He looked surprised when he saw me, & started speaking Spanish. I asked who he was & why he came in my room, but just talked Spanish. When I went to the front desk & confronted the clerk (the same rude clerk that checked me in the day before) about this guy having a key to enter my room, she said it MAY be the maintenance guy. I then asked, ”Why didn't he say he's maintenance or staff or have hotel ID on him?” She claimed she didn't know. I filed a complaint w/ the mgr thru the clerk, & he finally sent me a email 3 days later saying he couldn't do anything about the noise from other guests. Nothing about the other issues, like no hot water, soap or shampoo, or why the guy had a key to enter my rm. No offer of a refund or some sort of compensation. Do not stay at this Microtel !!

GGuest UserFirst off, I love a hotel where the staff really works hard to take care of the traveler! Little things like breakfast starting at 4:30am instead of 6:30 or 7am. A great pool, great airport shuttle, and great service at checkin. Moses, the assistant mgr took great care of me at check in. The room was very large and very nice. The price was the best of all the hotels near the airport. Not a negative word to say about this place!

GGuest UserI had to book this room last minute to deal with a family emergency in the city.

GGuest UserThe room was clean, check-in was easy, and the staff were kind. The room was pretty, breakfast was an excellent continental breakfast, and the staff went out of their way to help us feel welcome. They were also flexible when our flight was delayed and we had to check in late.

步行到银河The location of the hotel is in the suburbs, the breakfast is simple, and the surrounding environment is average; when I go out to buy something at night, there are many idle people on the street, etc., my heart is still a bit vacant; the hotel is a two-story room type. We live on the second floor and feel the hotel The facilities belong to the more average ones in the car hotels (almost seen the worst), the taste is a bit strange, the price is indeed cheap, there are more black people staying in the hotel, although everyone is very disciplined, but I still feel a bit uneasy. The price of the hotel did not say that it is the cheapest of the motels I have stayed at this time. If the requirements are not high, there is only a place to sleep and bath. You can choose. If you have expectations about the conditions of your stay, you can choose another one. Right.
