Samcheok East Ocean Pension Reviews

This pension is situated on a hill overlooking the ocean. You get an incredible view of the sunset from the room, which is a plus. The room was really comfortable, a duplex with two bathrooms. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, there is not much around in terms of restaurants or convenience store. Also, you cannot get to the water edge from the pension, this part of the coast has cliffs and no beach. In summary, the pension itself is excellent, but there not much around if you don't have your own wheels.

It was our 20th wedding anniversary and my college son was on summer vacation, so we went for a one-night stay. We wanted to go to the beach, so we went to Samcheok. ;.. After searching various sites, we chose East Ocean because it was cheap and good value for money. We could see the sparkling beach in the morning, so it was pretty~ The private barbecue on the terrace was nice. However, it was a shame that the ocean view wasn't right in front.. But the ocean was still nice. ㅎ The room was clean and the bathroom was so big, I liked it. My son also liked the pension... I was grateful for the service~

It's a shame that I didn't have a chance to properly use the pension's great facilities because I had to go in late at night and leave early in the morning due to my schedule. The ocean view was superb.

Cool place, the only problem is that there is no beach nearby for swimming
