Fab location but otherwise a serious let down. Good food but overpriced. And For example, Black coffee took 30mins. Unnecessary card payment system - a hassle and a waste of paper - as well as not being told you can refund them at the end to con you into spending more. No wifi, only accessed by those entering password 20+ times. Some nice staff but useless on the information front. Bartenders often avoided serving people and did without any sense of urgency. We were told if THEY couldn’t get us a shuttle we would have to pay for a day pass to stay past a certain time. Before even checking out my items were moved and bed stripped without being asked. A few indigenous workers that they make such a fuss about helping revealed that they are overworked and are still not paid enough to support themselves. Dangerous dorm design, guest fell from 8ft bunk bed and broke a bone, little help for 9hr so had to get paid public shuttle despite a car parked outside. Lacks basic facilities like a bag storage room, fans or electricity in dorms. Hot water not guaranteed. Private rooms not always as advertised - not the pretty huts you see in all the pictures - and a serious range in quality making them stupidly overpriced. Definitely not a party hostel as nobody there (although they were “fully booked”) and nothing happening any night we were there. No indications any activities were any being planned any time soon. Has only half of the amenities it claims on TripAdvisor… no table tennis, badminton, karaoke etc. Good tour of the park despite being a bit chaotic and at times, unsafe. I have read the owner’s responses to other reviews on here and which are shocking and outrightly rude. Don’t waste your time or money staying here. So much potential in this hostel but may just be unsalvageable.
