The Jay, Autograph Collection

This was our first time at The Jay, and we loved it. We were there only one night to attend a wedding and were sorry we didn't stay longer. The hotel is located in a great part of the city, within walking distance of some great restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is lovely. It exudes quiet luxury while also being very comfortable. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt very at home there. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in San Francisco and would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the city.

Formerly Le Meridian. Beautifully renovated. Got a great nightly rate since the hotel just re-opened. Nicely decorated. Hospitable staff. Good breakfast. Centrally located in the financial district of SF. Clean accommodations. Would recommend!

This was the third time we stayed at The Jay. We had an amazing stay! The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was beautiful and clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend for a relaxing, enjoyable stay!

My brother and I were weeklong guests at this hotel. While the rooms were well-appointed and the location convenient, these positives were overshadowed by a troubling experience after our stay. More than 12 hours after we checked out, the hotel made a fraudulent charge on our credit card for a purported "Market Bar" purchase. At no point in the week did we purchase any "market" items. Nor did we take any minibar items from the room. One is left to conclude that hotel management is either incompetent (for failing to maintain an accurate inventory and accounting system) or fraudulent (for instituting deceptive practices to add phantom charges to guest folios). A call to the hotel did not result in a firm commitment to refund the charge, only a vague "we'll look into it". I am not sure what there is to look into, given that we clearly identified the charge at issue. In any case, we will be closely monitoring the hotel's resolution (or lack thereof) of this matter. If unresolved, we will be reporting this hotel to the California AG and filing a credit card chargeback for the full amount of the fraudulent charge.

We absolutely love the Jay hotel! We’ve seen our share of hotels in the past few months this and this hotel is a standout! The hotel is centrally located in downtown San Francisco - our room has a stunning view is the city scape and the bay bridge! The rooms are small but modern, thoughtfully designed and the beds are very comfy and fresh. Each side of the bed has a usb, a usb-c and a standard plug! I’m also throughly impressed with housekeeping who doesn’t miss a beat! The gym has everything - pelotons, free weights, machines, rower, trampoline, ropes boxing and more! Plus fresh cold eucalyptus towels and apples for when you’re done! The bar and restaurant area has delicious bites- we loved the continental breakfast- and a big shout to Rafael and the team for taking care of us every morning. Lastly, the staff. The entire staff is exceptional. We are especially grateful to Nihad and Orlando at the front desk, who have taken such good care of us throughout our stay! Valet downstairs has been equally wonderful. One more note: If you’re looking for a wheelchair accessible room, look no further! They have a room that has a roll in shower and a bench with bars!

We enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at the Jay over the Thanksgiving holiday. Every staff member treated us with warmth and kindness; we genuinely felt welcome. The room was spacious and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. We would stay here again without hesitation.
