Not far from metro and in Chinatown. The area is a bit dodgy at night though.
Window curtains were quite dirty.
But the bed is very comfortable and the view is great.
I would stay again

This hotel is not cost-effective. Although the room rate seems not too high, the other fees are too high. The inexplicable resort fee, parking fee of $75 + valet parking tax of $10.5, plus the tip, the parking fee of nearly $100 per day is simply sky-high. It is really not worth it. If you rent a car, you'd better not live in San Francisco.

Good location, restaurants nearby.
Room is clean. Only thing that needs to be upgraded is coffee machine which is bit outdated.
Food & beverage on main lobby is good and affordable, had a pepperoni pizza which was so good.

It's a hotel with some proud history. They've arranged a corridor to introduce their past and the hotel is elegantly decorated. There's some sort of package that I've paid for at trip.com. that I didn't really know about and they've given me 20 dollar allowance to use for the hotel food because of this. The room is clean, and basically you could use the lift by yourself because it requires you to enter your floor number before you get in the specific lift. The hotel is right in front of the union square so you're accesible to many stuff. I've talked to some guests at the breakfast place and some of them have come here many times. I think I would come again some time, if SF city has less homeless and become cleaner, like it used to be.

Hotel looks elegant and new. Checked in was quick. Room is big and clean. Near to Union Square and Chinatown.
The only negative point is rain shower water pressure is weak. No hand held shower head and no bidet spray.
Everything else is perfect.

In Union Square, the street with Macy's and Hop on Hop off... on the other street there is the Cable Car stop, close to Sephora, Ross. There is no breakfast, but they provide us with a
20% Mason cafe discount voucher, which is divine and the
best breakfast on the trip so much so that we didn't even want to try others. Hotels in SF are expensive and old. but it was very comfortable, practical and friendly staff

I like its location as I could easily find restaurants for pancakes and fried chicken. And it offered a great deal of breakfast (nice bread and coffee)
However, the water heater in my room took too much time to heat up, which was a little bit annoying (especially when the weather is cold).

The hotel is in a good location, with complete facilities. You can enter the gym at any time by swiping your card. The hygiene is very good, everything is clean, and there is hot and cold water for drinking, which is very friendly to Chinese stomachs. The daily breakfast is also quite rich, with Japanese food to choose from. When I turned the bed at night, I was given a lavender bag to help me sleep, which was thoughtful. However, the room I stayed in was just opposite the water room, so there was some noise. It is best to avoid it when choosing a room!

Excellent
GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly and the facility was clean.
I enjoyed my stay with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.
Because it was near the station, sightseeing was easy.
I still want to use it.
JJiudiancepingjixiaoleiA hotel that is small but well-equipped. The hotel is adjacent to the Union Square shopping district. Turn left three blocks away and you will find the Neiman Marcus department store. The hotel is small and old, but it is very exquisite, clean and refreshing. There are many Indian-style decorations in the lobby, which is very atmospheric. The hotel service staff are extremely enthusiastic. The doorman immediately helped unload the luggage, delivered it all the way to the room, and even helped dust the dust. In the evening, they will also give you chocolate-filled snacks. The room is very clean and comfortable, and is also equipped with an electric kettle, knitted bathrobes, and slippers. The bed sheets are also like domestic hotels using quilt covers and duck down quilts. The toiletries are all made from the old British brand Molton Brown, and the fragrance lasts a long time. In short, this Taj Hotel is a secret treasure in the center of Sanban City. It has the warmth of home and the luxury of a third world country. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserVery nice hostel. The check in was a bit of an issue despite paying on trip.com they stated I had a balance due because I never made a payment and asked me to due so. I showed them the receipt from trip.com and all was well. They do require you to scan a QR code to send a text on WhatsApp to get all the information for your room. My phone was on 5% upon arrival this isn’t convenient. There are only two toilets on the floor with several rooms. The facilities are very clean. However there was hair left in my blanket I was given. Very cold in the room and if you’re near the street you hear everything. Overall great for an overnight stay but not more than 2 days
GGuest UserI had a wonderful experience! Highly recommend! This place is a piece of San Francisco history. Beautiful stained glass windows and decorative wood trim. Each room is decorated with unique antique furniture and artwork. No two rooms have the same décor. The staff take pride in their hotel. Everyone was welcoming and genuinely cared that I was enjoying my stay. They have really good free coffee and all the toiletries are available in the bathroom, so you don't need to bring shampoo or soap. I wasn't sure how the shared bathrooms would work, but it ended up being just fine. They have lots of individual shower rooms and bathrooms. I never had to wait, and since each toilet or shower is its own room with a door that locks behind you, no one is walking in on you. Full privacy. Great location too! There is a fancy Italian restaurant downstairs. Trader Joe's is a block away, and Fisherman's Wharf just a few blocks beyond that. Walking distance to Coit Tower and the zig-zag of Lombard Street. This place is great, and I hope to stay here again.
HHONGJUNThe location of the hotel is OK, just near Union Square, within a 500-meter walk of the hotel, there are many dining options, as well as restaurants and bars on the first floor of the hotel. Their services and conditions are pretty good. Regrettably, this time I stayed at the hotel, it happened that the hotel and building opposite were being renovated, and the noise was huge, which seriously affected the rest and overall feeling. We stayed in three types of rooms during the whole trip. The 5th floor viewing room was slightly quieter, and the 2nd floor suite was noisier. The fitness center of the hotel is outsourced Active, two blocks around the corner, about 5 minutes walk, it's ok.
AAnonymous UserNo extra fee for parking. Gated for extra security. Key card access only on all entry points. Newly-renovated rooms on the 3rd level. Updated facilities with modern features. USB charging ports. Heating and auto-timer light in toilet. Elevator is old but remains functional. Housekeeping crew missed cleaning room on one or two occasions but staff was attentive to provide towels upon request.
Lots of restaurants within the hotel vicinity.
SStanwzGood hotel in a convenient area, but however necessary to choose where to walk. Pretty close to the notorious 6th street.
Overall nice hotel but 2 incidents that stood out to make us rethink a good rating for the service levels.
1) Towels were not changed during our last day and we only discovered at the end of the day. And when we went down to ask for help, the hotel staff was not too helpful and initially cited that they have no access to housekeeping in the evening, before giving us the towels.
2) One of our rooms experienced a power trip in their room, resulting in a loss of lights, power and air-conditioning. And when we went down to speak with the hotel staff, he casually mentioned that there’s nothing they can do. Whilst the hotel was fully booked, they could not find a solution. Was disappointed at their reactions, though they waived off amenity fees the next day.
Would appreciate a better service standard at the very least
