Well all the bad reviews ? We found everything OK, yes may not be all whistle and bells but was clean, tidy nice grounds ,curtesy bus to sorrento, desk very good, we arrived and everything was personally explained to us not in a group.Foid was good and plenty of choice ,we arrived mid afternoon and although missed lunch food was outside and covered up , Our room was spacious adjacent to the busy main road but got used to it ,even the church bells , We often well say often every tea time for a beer or 3 at Tony's bar ,sara and toni very pleasant and welcoming ,this was not to disrespect our hotel as paying for the same peroni that was part of package but was entertaining watching the evening rush hour traffic ,how no accidents escape me our room was serviced every day and linen changed often .The manager was always present and Joe in the bar made us so welcome on our first day as well as the rest of our stay .yes mozzies wre a pain but that was not just at the hotel. We had most meals there but had lunch out as visiting places to see.If you take coastal path walk it's less busy to sorento about a 20 minute stroll, May I suggest if you do not want authentic Italian food and hospitality maybe try Benidorm, We will definitely be staying there again as we still have more to explore.

We (2 adults & 2 children) travelled to this hotel as part of an all inclusive holiday package in October. First impressions was good when we entered the hotel however that changed once we checked into our room. Room Our room was located on the 3rd floor. There was stairs and a lift. The hallway leading to the rooms was very dated, tired carpets etc. Initial feeling on the room was disapointing. The room was very dated. We had 2 single beds pushed together into a double which wasnt ideal for couples. The pillows were all stained. We had clean bathmat/towels put in our room which has dried in food/stains on them. The wardrobe was old and the sliding doors was stiff to operate. The electric wall sockets were dated and some of our power adapters wouldnt fit to charge our phones. Thankfully my husband took a extention cable and small adapter so we could charge our phones. The TV was small and dated, no coffee/tea facilities or kettle in the room. The bathroom looked like it had been updated recently however there was mould around the windows. We couldnt open the window to let steam out as the window was stuck shut. We also had ants in the bathroom. The ants were crawling up the walls and on the floor. The view wasnt great, looked on to trees, no balcony. Food The breakfast wasnt the greatest. It was the same every morning. No change at all. Loads of pastries left out which the flies loved. For the last few days we didnt even bother going for breakfast it was that bland. The lunch and evening meals was ok with plenty of variety however the food was often cold. There was not many snacks available during the day. There was some trays left out (assuming left over lunch/[pastries) but they werent covered up so they were crawling with flies/mosquitos. The all inclusive bar choice was ok but there was no branded alcoholic drinks except the Peroni beer on tap. The soft drinks were questionnable. The coca cola being poured from the bottle didnt taste like coca cola and tasted like cheap cola. Entertainment This was probably the most disapointing aspect of the hotel. There was no entertainment for kids at all except the pool. No games, fun nights etc. I felt for those couples/families there with young children as they must of been so bored. For the week we were there, the hotel had a lady play music, another night a man was singing and playing music on a keyboard and then they had some italian dancers. That was it. Some nights you were sat in the cold seating area with nothing to do. We ended up going out to buy some cards just for something to do. Only positives I could find for this hotel was it's location and staff. Not far from the train station and into the town centre of Sorrento. The staff were friendly and helpful. We have stayed in many 4 star resorts over the years and this is definately not a 4 star by any means. I believe this would have been back in its day (1970's) but not today. My daughter also came back with Glandular fe

We stayed for the last week of October, prior to the hotel closing for the season. The staff were very friendly, rooms were very nice and a good size. The hotel has one pool, with lots of beds and chairs around. There are 3 bars, two of which are inside the hotel and open on different days and times, the pool bar is open from 10am to 11pm, all bars have Peroni on tap and a good selection of cocktails. They have live music and dancing on some nights, at the outside area, they have BBQs. The town of Sorrento is around 20 minutes walk, but the hotel have a shuttle bus, which starts at 9am and the last bus back is 11pm. Jet2 provide a 'free' walking tour of Sorrento, which is good as you then can easily get your bearings, Jet2 rep Max was very good, the hotel of course have a selection of trips to the surrounding areas, and to Pompeii and Vesuvius, which we did, and it is an experience. We really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend the hotel as a great place to stay, and for its location for the ability to tour further afield. Be prepared to be bitten by mossies/ants, take insect repellent and bite cream

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in .the lining in the room was thread bare grey and poor quality .the crockery was chipped table covers were thread, bare poor quality, and the food it was unexeptable we had turkey one night, and it was served raw. I had a piece put on my plate it had blood on it I gave it back to the server he cut the blood off had put it back on my plate the scary thing is he didn't know this was wrong no hygiene at all this was the last time we used the restaurant we ate out we had booked this as all inclusive very disappointed I complained to jet 2 as I did not take photos I didn't have a voice.my husband and myself were ill with severe diahoreha we still had this three weeks into us being at home .if I can stop one person from booking this poor hotel, I don't usually write reviews, but I feel so let down with this hotel and jet 2 as they recommend it.

Ultra friendly hotel, what lovely people. A family run hotel, in a good central spot for exploring. I have read a few negatives regarding this place, but I think anyone who doesn't enjoy the experience is pretty hard to please. Antonio the Manager is always on site and happy to talk to his patrons, Vinchenzo (don't know the spelling) makes sure your dining experience is good. Barbecue night is a great join in event and such a laugh. We had a fab week at a good price. All the drinks were good, cocktails, wines and beer all tried, stuck with the wine mostly but tried all the rest. Citrus Rissotto with Goulash was my fave of the week. Bathroom nice and modern, only downside is 1 useable plug, but I had a multi plug with me so it worked well. Mosquitoes were bad, but that's not the hotels fault in any way. Would I go back.....in a heart beat

All in all we enjoyed our stay in Sorrento at the Hotel Parco del sole. The BBQ evenings 3 times a week were good with free entertainment. The hotel was situated within walking distance of the train station so we were able to make our own way to Herculaneum and Pompei which was handy. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and we must mention Antonia or Antoinette ( the lovely manager of the front of house staff). She went over and above helping us book a boat trip to the Amalfi Coast which was amazing so we recommend you book this excursion with the hotel. Sant'Agnello was very busy with traffic particularly scooters and electric bikes and the pavements were narrow so you had to be mindful of that. Sorrento was alot busier than we thought it would be for this time of year.
