Sapporo Chuo Ward 2-star Hotels

Room was gloomy (not cozy)and very small for 2 people that you cannot open your luggage properly because of the unnecessary old furnitures inside of it. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable to sleep in. Heater is not enough during a cold winter night. We did not sleep comfortably in this hotel.

No frills hostel short walk to all Sapporo downtown sights such as Tanukikoji Shopping Street or Ramen Alley. Staff was friendly and facilities were super clean. There was a small kitchen and dining area adjoining the lobby checkin area. Stayed in a 6 person dorm but barely slept on account of A/C directly across my bunk so primarily overheating my space and the mattress was a 7.5 cm mattress pad on hard board was less than comfortable. Can’t complain too much though you get what you pay for and this was the cheapest

MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE THE CODE TO THE LIFT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. I stayed in a capsule in the dormitory on the 3rd floor of the hotel, where self check-in facilities are located. I believe there are family units or private rooms on other floors of the hotel. + Very good location. Less than 5 minutes walk from nearest subway. Subway journey about 5 minutes from central Odori Station. + Very comfortable beds and good quality linen and pillows. I slept very well during my two nights there. + Very good and clean communal facilities - high quality furniture, spacious bathrooms (a lot better than the price suggests). + Self check-in was easy (apart from the lift, see below). - I booked my accommodation through Trip.com. That meant I did not receive an email from the hotel with the code to activate the lift (or even know that I needed a code!). Thankfully, a lady put in the code for me to take me to the 3rd floor so I could check in, otherwise I would have been stuck with no access to the hotel. MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE THE CODE TO THE LIFT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. - There are no cooking utensils, plates, cups, cutlery or fridge in the kitchen on the 3rd floor where the dormitories are located. I would happily stay here again for the money, now I know the downsides I have written above so that I can plan accordingly.

The room is small, the old Sapporo hotel is common, but clean, the raccoon road is near, the Odori Park is OK, jr is a little farther.

The room is normal. There was a delicious curry shop in the building next door. European style? The master was also a friendly person with curry. There are Genghis Khan and famous ramen shops nearby. Very convenient location, just near tanukikoji. The room is also a good size, but it may be troublesome for big luggage. There is no problem if you just sleep. Anyway, it was good to be able to stay cheaply within walking distance to Odori Park in Sapporo.

The hotel and the room look better than in the advertise photo. Located in a good location in the middle of Susukino, many minimart near the hotel, train and streetcar station, restaurants, shopping mall and able to walk to Tanukikoji shopping street. We got a room with tatami area for 3 people, the room was big, a slide door separate area of bath and toilet from the sleeping area. There is a commune bath but there is only room so have to switch the timetable of men and women. but in the room also have a bath tub. There are relax area with massage chairs, TV and big comfy chairs. The hotel has very limited parking lot, they suggest to a parking building opposite the hotel but lots of traffic in the parking lot. The staffs were nice, they taking care of us with the travel information and the luggage, even their English were not so good but they were willing to help.

The location of the hotel is about 1 km from JR Sapporo Station. Turn left at JR South Exit and go straight. See the Monterey Hotel and go straight to the front street to see the whole family turn right. The road is diagonally opposite. It is not difficult to find and walk very fast. . As long as you are used to it, there is no problem keeping the room clean and tidy. Garbage needs to be placed outside the door between 7-10 am in the morning. There will be cleaning staff to pick it up, and the garbage bag will be available in the room. The room wifi speed is very fast, it should be noted that it is possible that the router will be unplugged by the previous guest and may not be searched (maybe he needs more devices to charge, the socket is not enough), if you can not find wifi, Just on the left side of the TV cabinet, plug it in yourself. The bathroom is three separate, in the Japanese hotel, it is big. It is very intimate that the slippers are not disposable. I am afraid that the residents feel that the slippers are unsanitary with strangers. A disposable insole can be attached. In general, Pione's price is very high, the room is large and the living is very comfortable. If you must say the inadequacies, then you are unattended. If you encounter problems, you can only communicate by mail and cannot solve them in time. For example, we found a strong curry smell when we met, and the front guests must have made curry in the room. There is no way to solve the problem after the mail is contacted, because the entire hotel is full. We could only open the window all day long, and on the day we checked out, we finally got the taste almost the same, and finally the rest of the guests could live comfortably.
