Hotels near Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle

The hotel is in an excellent location, the facilities are not new but very advanced and very old style. The bath is wide and the bath is comfortable. The TV is big and the ball is good. The room was clean. The bed is comfortable.

The service was acceptable. Nothing notable. They did what was required. Nothing more, nothing less. Facilities are again, acceptable, but in need of updating. They're dated and basic. There is no food at the hotel. You can go to the hotel next door to the little pan-asian place, or Denny's. Otherwise, you can take a short trip down International Blvd and there are more restaurants. There are probably better hotels in the area proportionately for the money, but it is very conveniently located within walking distance to the airport. Star rating? I'd give it a 3/5.

We stayed here before our Alaska Cruise and had a very good experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Rooms include a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, iron, and safe. Dove bath products are provided. Hair dryer is attached to the bathroom wall. The front desk staff were so polite and professional at every interaction. We did pay for the package that included breakfast at Toast and Toast restaurant next door to the hotel. Food was good and generous portions. Coffee is not included so take a little cash with you. Short walk to the Space Needle. Upon check in, we signed up for the shuttle to the cruise port for $10 a person plus tip. Driver was on time, very friendly. Although we did see a few homeless people, we never felt unsafe.

It is located in CBD where we can easily visit touristic sites like Pioneer Square, Waterfront, Great Wheel and Space Needle. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a 7-11 in 10 minutes walk distance. The room is clean. Metro. Westlake station is in a 10 minutes walk distance.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Seattle Washington. The location is in the middle of activities, the spectacular restaurant 13 coins is connected to the hotel, warm pool, hot and bubbly jaccuzi and great customer service by Betty and a female employee in the evening working near the buffett on Monday, September 5th. I cannot recall her name, and no one at the hotel could provide a name to me to deliver accolades and kudos.

I’ve stayed at this hotel whenever I’m in Bellevue, WA for well over thirty years. My earliest memories of this property were as a Red Lion Hotel. Then it became a Double Tree and finally, on its deathbed , it’s a Hilton. How the mighty have fallen… Not withstanding the property, which I’ll get into, I will say that the staff are generally kind and helpful. So this review is not to diminish their efforts. However hard they work, the reality is this property is beyond salvage and should be torn down and a new property should be built in its place. The bedrooms are grossly outdated, and when you look behind the doors, or in between the furniture, you’ll see how old this hotel is. While it’s sizeable in space and scope, the elevators are tragically slow, with two-of-four being out of commission when we stayed there recently. Sadly, the water pressure is so low it takes forever to wash and rinse. Our keycard failed three separate times, requiring a long walk and painful elevator ride back to the main desk where the staff reset the keycard. The pool is functioning, but there were never enough chairs and loungers. Add to this there were never enough fresh towels and you’re getting the taste of mediocrity this hotel delivers. One absolutely disgusting site is the swamp that lies just beside the pool (down the concrete foundation about twenty feet). I have no idea who thinks this is aesthetically pleasing, but it’s not. It’s home to a few ducks who clearly have poor taste in accommodations, as did we. This poolside unattraction is downright ugly. One thing I was interested to see were several staff members not wearing any type of formal Hilton uniforms. The breakfast buffet chef was literally dressed in Carharts with a t-shirt, work boots and a ball cap on. And one of the maintenance staff looked like he just walked in off the street. Management must have been on vacation at another property. Finally, the outside of the building, including the massive sloping glass facade, clearly hasn’t been washed in decades. And worse, yet, the parking area is filthy to say the least. Food containers, candy wrappers, cigarette butts and hygiene products lay a strewn for days with no effort to maintain a modest effort in appearance. This was the last time we will stay at this hotel. If you want to save yourself frustration and disappointment, I encourage you to stay at the new Marriott up the street. Literally blocks away, it’s a cleaner, nicer bet.

Great place: excellent location, very clean and nice set up. Good value for the price.

We were staying just for the night, our room was on the 30th floor with the beautiful view of the city lights. It was also pretty spacious for the downtown location. We ate breakfast for about $25pp. It consisted of just a typical continental selection, which is usually free in less expensive hotels. Location is very convenient to Waterfront, downtown spots and public transport. Parking at the hotel was expensive, but that was expected for DT location.

We have stayed in this gem of a hotel at least five times now, and it is consistently excellent. Seattle offers many lodging options, and this hotel has become our favorite. We love this small chain and have stayed in nearly all of them. This Seattle hotel is the jewel in the crown as far as we're concerned, not necessarily because it is the most fancy but because the staff always go out of their way to make the experience a genuinely welcoming one. The pineapple theme is charming, and this particular hotel layers in a fun 60s theme that is upbeat and nicely done. The rooms and lobby are always immaculate, the bedding among the most comfortable of any upper-end hotels, the amenities are appealing without being pretentious. Self-Parking is safe and easy on the premises, creative snacks are offered at the desk, and the rates are among the most affordable for an area that is often challenging. We hope that someday they are able to bring back their breakfast and cute bar. The staff is consistently helpful, genuinely warm, and consummately professional, going out of their way to find ways of making our stay memorable. This particular University Inn managed to do this even in the worst days of the pandemic lockdown when we had to be in the area for serious reasons. We really appreciate the kindness and high quality that the management of this hotel manages to find in exceptional caliber of its hotel staff, especially at a time when so many organizations are struggling to keep even minimum staffing levels.
