Hotel very near the station, not more than 1 minute walking.
Very friendly welcome. Room was spacious and clean. Window could open and let in fresh air.
In the hotel there was a small restaurant for guests with a nice local food menu. Breakfast was simple, but good. Restaurant ladies were very friendly and helpfull.
They keep your luggage if you arrive early.
In kakunodate things close early (in november?) So take care that you arrange your dinner plans in time.
Highly recommend. Excellent twin rooms which worked very well for our family. Good a/c. Good small breakfast selection. Would prefer if breakfast could extend beyond 9am for a lazier start.

The hotel is right at Kakunodate Station, just half a minute's walk from the station, which is very convenient. The food in the hotel was delicious. We had dinner and breakfast. It feels very good to sit in the restaurant and have breakfast early in the morning, looking out the window at the quiet station in the early morning. The hotel room is not big. From Kakunodate Station, you can take the Akita Inland Line train north. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and you can just take the train to Aniga Station, otherwise the journey will be too long.
It’s less than a minute’s walk on the left hand side of Kakumachi Station. It’s very convenient and the service staff are great! The restaurant food is also very delicious! The room is very spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend it. It will also be my first choice next time I go to Kakunodate.
The location is on the left side of the exit of Kakunodate Station. It is very convenient. It faces the JR station. After breakfast, we looked out the window and looked out at the beautiful snow scenery. Here we took the Akita Inland Railway to Aniga and took the cable car to see the Moriyoshi mountain ice. The hotel can help reserve a car from Go to the cable car station from Aniga Station and make a reservation for dinner. Although there is no hot spring in the hotel, there is a public bathhouse within ten minutes' walk. From here you can go to Lake Tagawa and Nyuto Onsen. I highly recommend staying at this hotel to see cherry blossoms in mid-April.
The hotel is right next to the station, which is super convenient. The large twin room is very spacious. It can see the train tracks but is not noisy. It was very comfortable to stay for 3 nights. There is no need for the hotel to tidy up the room, the staff will place towels outside the door every day. The washer and dryer are easy to use.
There is a restaurant in the hotel that provides breakfast and about ten meal sets (the same menu for lunch and dinner). If you really don’t want to go out to eat, you can do it here. There is a supermarket 10 minutes' walk away, and there are convenience stores and drink machines next to the station.
I spent three days on the inland railway, returned to the valley, and took a one-day trip to Akita, both of which were convenient by car.
Located next to the train station, it is very convenient to visit Kakunodate Samurai Street and to and from Lake Tazawa. It is also convenient to take the Akita Inland Railway, a 1-minute walk, and the Shinkansen.
The location is right next to the station, but the environment is very quiet. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean, the breakfast is rich and delicious, and the service staff has a good attitude. I will stay here again next time
