Machiya Hotel Kakunodate Reviews

It’s about 10 minutes walk from Kakunodate local train tour. The hotel itself is right beside Lawson and it’s convenient. Room is very small unless you pay extra for the twins room.

It quite a walk from the station to the hotel. It's at the edge of the samurai area though. The service is great and they provide drinks and the front desk. The hotel has nice art in the hallways. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was outside the hotel around the corner and was good.

There was a mistake in the online reservation at check-in, but they kindly and politely responded with a smile. Thank you very much.

The location was good, restaurants, convenience stores, souvenir shops, samurai residences, all on foot, so I was able to relax.

The hotel is new and clean. Although the room is small and there is no breakfast restaurant, the service staff are enthusiastic and friendly. The location is excellent, in the center of Kakunodate, near Samurai House, Hinoki Uchigawa and local specialty restaurants. It was a pleasant stay experience!

從角館火車站到酒店，可以步行十五分鐘，也可以打車，幾十塊錢。酒店出來就是景區，到武家敷和河邊走了一圈，很舒服。角館春天有櫻花，秋天有楓葉，冬天有大雪，太喜歡了。第二天還坐了東北內陸線觀光火車。

在日本的鄉下地方，如果不是住的連鎖酒店，六百以下的，基本上都不會住到差的酒店，而且在日本住這種老酒店，就是一種享受，衹是，酒店對面的藤八郎餐廳不怎麼地，推薦去他隔壁那家月之什麼的吃

絕對是物有所值！地段價格服務都是非常在線！

位置極好，車站旁邊，非常適合轉車或前往周邊玩樂旅客入住。整體都非常不錯 職員熱心積極。

The twin room is a typical Japanese standard and well equipped with all amentities and free parking. Breakfast is at nearby restaurant with good foods. The hotel is very close to Bukeyashiki Steet, which is Kakunodate’s famous street for changing of the leafs colour and samurai houses. It is a good base for exploring Tazawako and Hachimantai Area.

The hotel is located in begining of Samurai Residences street. Location is very convenient.  Five min walk to river bank. Many restaurants nearby and a Lawsons store next to the hotel. From Kakunodate station is 15 mins walk. We stayed in a twin bed ensuite with toiletries and basic skin care products. After check-in, you can take your amenities (hair brush, toothbrush, facial cotton set, body sponge, razor set and pyjamas in the Amenity room near to the reception. They have coffee, latte & matcha machine complimentary to guests from 6.30am to 10am in the lounge area. Also microwave oven and an ice machine. They also served breakfast in the annex building. There is a laundry room with two washine machine with wash & dry function. A 3kg load cost ¥500.

Great hotel close to the all the attractions in Kakunodate - room was good size and with all the amenities expected in this price range - very good location, one can walk easily to the samurai residences and ~15min walking to the train station or 5 min taxi ride - the breakfast was ok, although a little bit light (it's not a buffet) but you have a Lawson nextdoor if you feel the need to compensate
