Hotels Near National Gugak Center in Seoul

Overall the Oriens Hotel and Residences was a great value for it allowed the family an area to return to relax for another day of sight seeing. It is spacious and ample room to unwind compared to a standard hotel. The hotel’s location is decent and the railway system is close. The rooms were clean and even heated flooring so great on a cold night. A little learning on how to turn on the hot water system which is as needed system that takes about 5 to 10 minutes to heat up. A dining room table with 4 chairs and all the cups, plates and silverware plus dish soap. Pluses are the kitchen with a full refrigerator, Microwave oven, bottle water provided, stove, oven/toaster, dishwasher and the clothes washer and dryer as a single unit. Great for college dorms and retirement unit. Another plus is that the front desk staff even loaned a transformer unit so you can charge your electronic devices- ie phone. Breakfast was available for an additional charge. We did not eat at the hotel and ventured out to the local restaurants. Check in and checkout was very efficient. Would consider staying here again.

Location: First of all, it was located in front of the bar of Chungmuro Station, so the accessibility was very good! As soon as I got off the station, it was easy to find because it was right there, and it was easy to move to the subway. In addition, there are many food nearby, so I ordered it to be delivered in the evening. At night, I went out with my friends and played in my favorite bar. 🍻 Room interior, cleanliness: First of all, the room stayed in a room for three people, but it was wider than I thought, so three people went to sleep. It was enough, very neat and clean. There was also a table, so it was easy to eat, and it was okay to bring a laptop and see the work! The bathroom is clean and Netflix is available (you need to use your own ID). There is a washing machine, induction, and sink, so you can cook and wash! (I haven't used it, but,) it was just new and tidy because the bathroom was just built. Is it a little unusual that the sink is on the outside? It wasn't uncomfortable, but it wasn't as noisy as Hongdae or Sinchon. It was nice to be quiet at night, not like a noisy downtown area, but because of its good accessibility and location, it was convenient to use public transportation and places to eat or cafes around. It was nice to have a lot! I stayed with my friends, but I think it would be suitable if you are looking for a place to stay for long-distance business trips or business purposes.. !

Good location, nearby to a few train stations so I can choose to alight at different stops depending on where I came from. Amenities like soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels provided, as per stated in the listing. Common pantry at level 1 can be used, which has hot water, coffee, cutlery, microwave. Comfortable and recommended to stay.

I doubt this is a 4 star hotel. Give it a 3.5. Positive: Subway is near. Airport bus stop is just 1 min away. Very easy to go to places in interest. Negative: 1. Shower room water always overflow to the dry toilet area. 2. No tea bag provided unlike others international brand hotel. Do be mindful that Not all customers are coffee drinker, especially Asian n Chinese tourist. 3. No international socket and usb outlet for charging. I bought my adapter, however, it is still lose after putting it in. 4. can hear abit of sound from next room. 5. Unsure where the source of sound, can hear intermittent buzzing sound . Unsure if it from Aircon. 6. A little challenging to use the air con remote n panel, all in Korean. No universal symbol of on/off button. 7. No view from my 2nd level room Window is locked n dusty. Cant get the sunlight in due to the type of blurred out panel.

Fuss-free check in with friendly service. The hotel room and adjoint toilet were clean and comfortable. The hotel does not provide many services but it was good enough for solo travellers who spend most time outside exploring. Would recommend!

Liked almost everything except the quality of bath towels. The location is supereb, near to subway stations, also walking distance to Insadong and Mendon. The room is big and clean, bathroom is a bit small, but OK) for us. We took breakfast, which was not bad, but we would like some bakery to have with coffee. The only dissapointing thing was the quality of bath towels, they were grey instead of being white. And it's not about the color, it's about being used for so long that washing machine can't help.

Location very convenient, close to metro line 5. And there is a big convenient store downstairs. The room is big and the bed is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is not included so I went to the store for sandwiches which is very delicious.

Recommended for those who come to Gocheok Dome to watch the CON! It took about half an hour to take the subway, especially when I came back from the show very quickly. When I entered the Jiuyi Station, a large crowd was crowded underneath. There were not many people walking in my direction. The disadvantage is that it is far from the city. It is difficult to go to places like Hongdae. It takes more than an hour, it depends on personal needs~ But the downstairs is also very lively at night, there are a lot of food, convenience stores are quite complete, and there is a police station next to it. I felt very safe when I came there in the middle of the night on the first day 😂The hotel environment is not bad. I stayed for 4 nights in total. Because we made separate reservations, I changed rooms on the last day. They were not too small and I was very satisfied with the windows. 😂The first room also had a bathtub, except for one time. Sex slippers and other toiletries are basically provided. Auntie cleans and replaces the toiletries every day. Remember to bring your own conversion plug. The bed is quite big. It feels like there is still room for one person to squeeze in between when we sleep together.

The customer service attitude at the front desk is very good. They can speak simple English and Chinese and help us call a taxi👍The hotel lobby is on the 7th floor. The environment is acceptable and breakfast is charged. The rooms are very average, a bit like a youth hostel. The toilet was poor, so I had to stand in the bathtub to take a bath. The bathtub was full of water, and it was almost overflowing to the outside. There are many restaurants, convenience stores, a Costco and IKEA around the hotel 😂 It's very close to KTX, but it seems a bit difficult to take a taxi nearby.

It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth to stay however I want to comment a few things like to point it out. 1. Front desk workers are almost no manners, they seem to not have any idea how to greet people, they never say any word like thank you, may I help you? , how may I assist you? Next customer please, what’s your car license plate number? Anything I can help you? How was your stay in our hotel? I’m sorry I don’t understand etc.. I believe not they didn’t want to say something in English, they seemed to not educated people neither they were lacking in English conversation. Don’t expect any common western manners from them. That’s why I rated them “poor” in the service category. I hope they will improve their service quality next time I see them. Thanks for reading my review.
