During a major storm, had to find a hotel quickly due to power being out on my street. The staff were very helpful and while the property exterior might be a bit dated, the new renovated rooms are way more than I expected at a Knights Inn, especially for the price. Gotta say, I was quite surprised and impressed.

We drove from Missouri to visit family in Indiana and booked 3 nights at this hotel the first from was covered in cigarette burns there was pit seeds and pot in the TV stand it smelled so bad dirt in ever corned soap scum built thick in the shower a dirty remade bed and the fridge leaked water everywhere and smelled like death. I went to the front desk told them I wanted a refund they refused and put me in another room this room smelled better but had roaches and the toilet had pee in it and the back of the bowl had poop on it and when I showed the lady at the counter the pictures from the second room she told me her hotel didn't have roaches I don't know how I got the pictures I did than in their hotel ro but whatever The lady refused my refund even though I was there a total of 1 hour and told her she could keep the money for that night just refund the other two days cause I wasn't trying to bring bugs home with me it was so gross. They screamed at my husband for saying he just wanted a refund and tried to kick him out of the lobby . The travel agency that I booked through tried to advocate for me but the hotel refused my refund said they offered me a solution and I didn't want another room but in fact after the second room we got was nasty she refused me another room and just only gave my smoking deposit back which I'm sure they would of blamed me for the stuff and try to keep it if I stayed there. There are druggies that sit outside their rooms on the curb at any hour of the night. It's a trash place to go we ended up at the Hampton where the rooms cost as much for one night as it did there for 3 days but hands down would do that again over that trash heap anyway. They are rude and liars and crooks, that seem to be ok with stealing people's money.

Do not book through Priceline. If you have cockroaches in your room as I did, Priceline will do nothing and hotel will do nothing except put you in another room. You cannot get money back. You will be stonewalled out of money for only having stayed a few hours. If someone could have just given me my money back or approved to have my account credited back I would have been happy to go elsewhere without leaving a negative review. I am not comfortable to stay with potential to bring unwanted bugs that may cost hundreds -thousands to treat. I left for another hotel.
