Hotels Near Chenglin Art Center in Shanghai

Location: Extremely convenient. 5 mins walk from Shanghai Main Railway which made it easy for us to take trips out to Hangzhou and Wuxi. Amenities: Lawson and Family Mart just around the corner made it easy to get basic necessities. Being near the railway also gave us easy access to various food options even when it’s late. (highly recommend Yang’s Dumplings) Service: Highly satisfied with the service we received from Jius Hotel staff! We were landing in the wee hours of the morning (earlier than previously planned), hence we made a second booking so that we could catch some rest when we got to the hotel. We kindly requested if the staff could arrange it such that we could have one room for our entire stay. Not only did the staff facilitate our request, but also gave us a complimentary upgrade to 1-Room to make it happen. Room: Absolutely loved our stay at Jius Hotel. Room was huge and had a nice view of Suzhou River. A fun feature that we particularly enjoyed was how the room is smart configured, so you can close the blinds or off the lights entirely by voice control. And after a long day of exploring Shanghai, we always look forward to soaking in our very own jacuzzi. What really stood out for us was how comfortable the pillows are. This is the first time I have experienced such comfortable pillows over a hotel stay, so much so that we tried to ask the staff where the hotel got the pillows from. Overall, our stay at Jius Hotel was such a pleasant and wonderful experience. And for the given hotel rate on Trip.com, it has definitely been a steal for us. Strongly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Shanghai!

Single trip to see an old friend. Located next to fancy nightclub like la suite and street bars. Cute hotel, nothing special but perfect for a one night stand in Shanghai. Highly recommended 😎

I was planning to get a single room near the station because I was arriving late at night, but it was quite complicated and difficult to move around with a suitcase. When I got lost, a staff member from the inn showed me the way. The first floor of the building where the inn was located was very luxurious, so I thought I had made a mistake. The area around the inn had a somewhat unsafe atmosphere, but the lady at the convenience store was also kind and there were no particular problems. The room is often different from the photo, but it was different than I expected. I don't know if it was out of consideration or just sales, but they said I could get a better room if I raised the price a little, but I declined. To be honest, the cleanliness was low, but they did clean it properly. The original facilities are old. My room was right next to the shared toilet, so it smelled at first, but when I returned after a shower, it smelled like air freshener. It was in the corner of the room. At first, I wasn't given a room key, but when I asked for one when I was taking a shower, I was given one. I wondered if it was like a capsule hotel for men in Japan? But when I checked out the next day, it seemed like a family was checking in. In terms of value for money, I personally think it was a bit pricey, even taking into account the fact that it was a single room, but the staff were very friendly and even though I didn't understand the language they were very helpful and explained a lot of things to me, which I was very grateful for.

The location of the hotel is great. Almost opposite of the train station. Furthermore it is very nearby the Jade Buddha Temple and the new thousand trees shopping mall. The rooms are big and with a great shower. One downside was the smell coming from the shower, but this is a minor thing. The facilities of the hotel are top. Having a 25 meters swimming pool, a sauna, steam room, hot-tub and a great gym. I really recommend booking this hotel.

Hotel is conveniently situated near a subway station and within walking distance of a mall. It was a little difficult to recognise at first because the name is in Chinese. Staff are very helpful, cleaning lady is friendly and replaces all towels and resupplied water. Would stay again if looking to explore the area

The location of the accommodation was good and friendly, but I think the humid feeling and smell were a bit disappointing🥹🥹 However, it is very close to the subway station and the view of Cheonan Cheonsu is nice.

The location is excellent and the surrounding subway bus is equipped with many restaurants, but it is indeed a bit difficult to find the entrance in the old building in the city center. The hotel has arranged a lot of signage entrances, but it is a bit difficult to get in and find the elevator. The front desk room service is very good and very enthusiastic. The rooms are well-equipped, clean and tidy, not worse than the branded fast, the overall stay feels good, the next time I pass by, I will choose to stay at the hotel again, thank you for the warm service of the hotel.

Enjoyed the stay at Pullman Jing’an. The location is great, it’s five minutes walk to the Shanghai Railway subway station on Line 1 - just two stops from the famous People’s Square. Easy to take the subway to many attractions. The service at the reception is friendly , English is spoken. The room is compact and might not have enough space if you have many pieces of luggage. It was fine for 1 piece of luggage and 1 medium size luggage. Bed is and pillows are very comfortable.

The girls at the front desk are very nice. When they saw that I was with children, they took the initiative to give them special toiletries and upgraded the room type. They also helped to properly store the medicines that needed to be refrigerated. It's really lucky to meet a good service clerk when traveling with children!

It’s not a center location. 25-30min taxi ride to the center but the neighborhood is full of street foods since it is near the subway and train station. The people around the neighborhood are friendly with tourist. Unfortunately, not all hotel staffs can speak english… but they tried to be helpful… wifi are free. The room were just the right size for people with many luggages and a wheelchair. Their bathroom dont have bidet that’s why the amenities is just 4… the rooms were very clean, walking barefoot on their carpet wont leave your feet dirty..the buffet breakfast are just right.. more of the chinese cuisine. Our overall experience is good especially for the price… keep it up!
