Hotels in The North Bund Area, Shanghai

Booked for a business trip, the location is excellent, right opposite Raffles City North Bund. It's very convenient for transportation, and just a short walk to The Bund, where the riverside scenery is beautiful. It's only three floors high but has many rooms. I was happily upgraded to a room with a window for free. The room decor is very modern and youthful, and it even has a large bathtub. They provide disposable tub liners and bath salts, along with complimentary drinks. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. The soundproofing was just so-so, as I could hear noises from the corridor. The air conditioning cooling was also just so-so. Breakfast costs 50 yuan per person. There are two Chinese main course options and one Western. The wontons were pretty good, and the other buffet items were tasty too. The toast was excellent when toasted. Since it was off-season, there weren't many people. Overall, I had a great experience.

This stay was a fantastic surprise; the front desk upgraded us directly to a suite. The room layout was superb, with a bedroom, a large living room, and a big bathtub. The view was expansive, directly facing the Lujiazui business district (even though it missed the 'three-piece set' of Oriental Pearl Tower, the view was still stunning). 📍Perfect Location: Right outside, you're on the North Bund waterfront. A short walk of a few hundred meters takes you to popular photo spots, and across the river is the Pudong skyline. Nearby, The Drop restaurant and Magnolia Plaza offer convenient dining and shopping options. ✨Exceptional Service: Returning in the evening, we found that housekeeping had thoughtfully turned down the bed, drawn the curtains, and even delivered a complimentary evening drink. This feeling of being well-cared for was wonderful! Many thanks to Deslin and Lily. If you want to enjoy the beautiful Bund scenery, you absolutely shouldn't miss the Banyan Tree. I'll definitely be back again!

Two adults and one child stayed here. The service was absolutely excellent! They even upgraded our room for free during check-in and provided adorable slippers for my child. On top of that, they gave my child a gift at check-out. The hotel's location is super convenient, close to bus stops and the ferry terminal, making it easy to get to the Oriental Pearl Tower, Lujiazui, and the Bund. There are also plenty of dining options nearby.

It’s our first time using Atour & it’s a very good experience, the bed & pillows were so comfortable. They used special type pillow different from most hotels out there and it’s so good. They even have different type of pillows sold here, I was tempted to even purchase one haha. Staffs here are all friendly and helpful, I’ll book Atour next time I come Shanghai! :)

Found a new favorite hotel! The Atour Light Hotel at Shanghai North Bund Riverside International Plaza is a hidden gem. I was exhausted when I checked in, but I was pleasantly surprised when the front desk staff, He Te, upgraded my room. He even carried my luggage and jogged with me to the elevator, then proactively asked if I needed any further assistance. I was genuinely touched by his thoughtfulness and attitude. It was a great stay with truly attentive and detailed service, perfectly suited for business travelers.

The room was exceptionally clean and well-equipped. Upon my first check-in, I was offered a small gift, and parking was very convenient. I had a really comfortable stay here, with all the essential services readily available. I chose a zero-pressure room, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. It was relatively quiet, and the large TV allowed screen mirroring. Breakfast was plentiful with a coffee machine, and the subway was very close, making transportation convenient. Overall, it offers great value for money in a commercial area. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

I’m so glad I chose the Mehood Elegant Hotel. It was the perfect location — close to everything, not too crowded, yet not too remote either. I traveled solo with my 14-month-old toddler, and he was absolutely spoiled by all the hotel staff. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and care. Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished. Xiao Jun also took great care of us, and Yinhe Juan felt like an auntie to us. We looked forward to seeing them every morning at breakfast. They all made my stay feel so warm and welcoming — truly like a home away from home. I’m incredibly grateful for their hospitality, and if I ever find myself back in Shanghai again, I’ll definitely be booking Mehood. PS: the view from my room was incredible!

Overall, the stay at Zeju Hotel was very good. The rooms were clean and tidy with good soundproofing. Check-in was efficient and friendly, the facilities were complete, the location was convenient, and the price was reasonable, making it a reliable choice for travel accommodation.

Great location! It's super convenient to walk to North Bund and The Bund, or cycle to Nanjing East/West Road. The concierge and housekeeping staff were excellent. I was really happy with the room – it felt much more spacious than the pictures online. Very comfortable stay. There's construction nearby, but the double-glazed windows in the room meant absolutely no noise disturbance. I feel like the price wouldn't have been this good if it weren't for the construction site. The decor and design details were beautiful. A very satisfying stay overall.

I had a very pleasant and healing stay at SAVHE Hotel North Bund Shanghai. The hotel gave me a calm and comfortable feeling after a long and tiring trip. The team took care of me with warmth and kindness, almost like coming back home. The laundry service was very convenient and helpful, which made my stay much easier. I also enjoyed the food very much. Breakfast was lovely. I especially liked the tomato and egg dish, and the BBQ chicken had a very well-balanced and delicious flavor. I also loved the tea experience — making tea and enjoying it slowly made the stay feel more relaxing and special. Overall, this hotel was comforting, practical, and heartwarming. It helped me rest, reset, and feel better before continuing my journey. I would definitely come back again. Thank you to the team for the thoughtful a warm service!!!💚🩵💙
