Hotels in Pudong Waigaoqiao District, Shanghai

The location is decent, right by Dongjing Road Metro Station. However, I have two main issues: 1. The soundproofing in the room is terrible. I could hear loud noises from the next room late into the night. 2. The duvet was too thick for summer (this seems to be a common problem in hotels). If I turned the AC down low, I felt uncomfortable and kept coughing. If I didn't, it was too hot to sleep. I barely got any sleep the first night because of this, and I had to rush for a business trip the next day, which was incredibly frustrating. On the second night, I ended up sleeping with just the bedspread after taking the duvet insert out.

The hotel facilities are luxurious, the surrounding environment is tranquil, and the rooms are clean, tidy, spacious, and comfortable. Room service was prompt. During check-in, Manager Gu at the front desk was very warm and attentive, and highly efficient. She even proactively upgraded us to an executive room, which was on a higher floor with an expansive view. This stay at the hotel left a wonderful impression on me.

Overall, my stay was completely seamless. The hotel is impeccable, from service to amenities, and I particularly want to highlight the air conditioning. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet with a constant supply of hot water. The soundproofing was also excellent. Even with the scorching heat outside, the AC cooled down the room in minutes, demonstrating its powerful cooling performance. What's more, the unit ran incredibly quietly; I couldn't hear any noise at all while sleeping. It offered multiple fan speeds that could be adjusted as needed, and the airflow was directional, preventing it from blowing directly on you and causing headaches. There was no musty smell or dust coming from the vents, which shows the hotel regularly cleans and maintains them. The temperature control was stable, keeping the room at a consistent temperature all night without fluctuations. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful, the facilities were comprehensive, WiFi was fast, and parking was convenient. In every aspect, this hotel surpasses others in its class. The comfortable air conditioning alone significantly enhanced my stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again for future travels.

Every year when I visit family, I stay at this hotel. Firstly, there aren't many hotels around with family rooms, and secondly, the hygiene and service here are quite good, offering great value for money. I'd like to specifically mention that the front desk staff were very enthusiastic and attentive. They gave me some breakfast vouchers, and in return, I gave them some snacks, hoping they liked them. Of course, a three-star hotel can't be perfect. My room had a bit of a stale smell if it was closed up for a while, and needed some ventilation to air it out. I hope this can be improved.

It’s a fairly new hotel -just next to Sam’s Club (members only huge supermarket). Also there are a number of nice restaurants and food stores in walking distance. Another big shopping mall 7-8 minutes away by walking. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful when you have any questions. The rooms were clean and have everything you will need -even a washing machine ;) basic kitchen utensils and and crockery were provided. The gym and roof terrace were better than we expected. Very comfortable stay. Recommended.

The room was fantastic! Super clean and quiet! As someone who's a bit of a clean freak, I was really impressed by how spotless the room, lobby, restaurant, and laundry room were. The breakfast spread was amazing too, with so many delicious options! It felt much cleaner and tastier than ordering takeout. The front desk staff were incredibly nice, and the cleaning ladies were very polite. Even when I left valuables lying around, they never touched or moved them. Both the front desk and cleaning staff, as well as all the other employees, were very meticulous. The robot delivery for anything I needed was super fast too! All the hotel staff were extremely polite, always greeting me and asking if I needed any help. They were all so courteous and respectful, truly a friendly and high-quality team! Everyone at this hotel was just wonderful! I really have to give a huge shout-out to the cleaning ladies and the front desk staff!

The front desk service is perfectly balanced and efficient for check-ins. There's free parking with charging stations, and the convenient Line 6 subway makes getting around easy. It's the perfect choice for a weekend family getaway or a short romantic escape – highly recommended!

I chose this Haiyou Hotel for my business trip to Waigaoqiao. The new hotel has a great environment; the room was clean and refreshing, with no unpleasant odors, and the bedding was comfortable. It was quiet at night, and I got a good night's rest. Check-in was efficient, and the service was excellent. There are convenient food delivery options nearby, making it suitable for business trips. It offers great value for money.

The room was clean and tidy and spacious. The view outside the window is also wide. Quiet at night and get a good rest. Parking is convenient and the hotel has its own parking lot. The hotel is also very close to Sam, about 5 minutes walk. Very nice hotel.

This hotel is decent overall, with both pros and cons, so choose according to your needs. Objectively speaking, the advantages are its convenient location with plenty of takeout options and convenience stores nearby, and the room size is larger than other hotels in the same price range. However, the drawbacks are also quite obvious: firstly, the soundproofing really needs improvement – I could hear people talking in the hallway at night; secondly, the AC was slow to cool down, taking over ten minutes to get cold; and thirdly, the front desk was understaffed during peak checkout times, leading to long queues. If you're someone who needs a very quiet sleeping environment, I'd advise caution, but if you just need a place to crash for a night, the price is reasonable.
