Hotels in Train Station Area, Shanghai

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from the South Square of Shanghai Railway Station. It sits right by Suzhou Creek, directly across from the iconic Tian An 1,000 Trees, which makes for a striking view. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The only minor downsides were having to wait a bit for the elevators, and the soundproofing in the street-facing rooms was average, though it didn't really bother me. The surrounding area has plenty of dining options, including fast food like McDonald's and KFC, along with several convenience stores, making it super convenient for daily necessities.

I stayed at the Pullman Jing'an for a business trip, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel boasts a prime location right in the Jing'an Temple commercial district, with the subway station just steps away. Getting to West Nanjing Road or Hongqiao is very convenient, and there is an abundance of dining options in the surrounding area. The lobby has a modern and grand design, and check-in was very efficient. The room offered an expansive view, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable—a lifesaver for overcoming jet lag or recovering from intense work. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring both Western pastries and a live noodle station for fresh Chinese noodles, making it a perfect start to the day. This will definitely be my top choice for my next trip to Shanghai!

the place was kind of hard to find one AMAPs but entering the Chinese name worked. The place was clean and affordable, with a breakfast buffet coupon if you add it to your reservation. The staff doesn't know much English but they have a pretty accurate translating device on hand, so they were still helpful no matter the language barrier. Sound from the hallways are pretty prominent, but we couldn't hear the other rooms so our only noise complaint were when people would arrive late at night buzzed from partying. The cleaning ladies changed our bedsheets when asked, but always tidied up the room and replace amenities whenever we were out. Overall a nice stay in a convenient location ☺️

I'm really satisfied with my stay here. The room is clean and cozy, everything works perfectly. Jasmine was so warm when I checked in. She was attentive and helped me solve my small problem right away. The hotel is within walking distance of the metro station, and there are lots of shops and eateries nearby. It's easy to get around. The bed is comfortable, and the room stays quiet at night so ! can sleep well. Considering the facilities and service, it is really good value for money. I had a great experience and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

It's located across the road from the Shanghai HSR station, with an attached metro that will take you to most sights in Shanghai as well as to either airport! Note: Pudong is some distance away by metro (1.5 hrs) so consider taking a cab. Food options are plentiful, from local restaurants to fast food joints. Coffee shops are also plentiful, local brands to Starbucks. The room is reasonably sized, very clean and the staff are very helpful. If you're using the HSR, id recommend this anytime!

On my 6th trip to Shanghai, I finally found a great hotel. Hotels in downtown Shanghai are expensive, old, and carry traces of time, which didn't suit our family. For this trip, we planned an 8-night, 9-day itinerary to also experience local hotels, so we booked a hotel newly opened in 2026, as well as this one. First of all, there are several Holiday Inn branches in Shanghai. Among them, we chose Jing'an after considering cleanliness, location, and price. This place was impeccably clean, and I really liked the calm demeanor of the experienced managers and the fact that English communication was possible. Even in non-smoking areas, there are still places in China where people smoke. However, Holiday Inn Jing'an seemed to be managed very cleanly. I was very satisfied with the dust-free, clean facilities and the location, which is just a 5-minute distance from Shanghai Railway Station. Also, the concierge robot that works busily every day is a perfect 100 out of 100. ^^; Every time we saw it, it was always making deliveries. This hotel has been cleanly renovated, and both the noise level and cleanliness are great. Even if I come to Shanghai next time, I will book this place again. Highly recommended.

Choosing this hotel was a great decision. The transportation is extremely convenient and it's very close to where I needed to be for business. The soundproofing in the room is exceptional, making it quiet and ideal for both working and resting without any disturbance. The Wi-Fi signal is strong and fast, which was perfect for handling urgent tasks. The staff are professional, efficient, and always ready to help with great attention to detail. The facilities are well-maintained, with strong water pressure in the shower and a quick supply of hot water. The check-out process was smooth and hassle-free, and the invoice was issued promptly and accurately. Overall, the experience was highly professional. It's a place worth returning to for long-term stays, and I sincerely recommend it to everyone.

The hotel boasts a convenient location with bus and subway stations nearby, offering direct access to most major business districts. The hotel environment is comfortable; although the furnishings are a bit dated, it offers great value for money and generally meets guests' needs. The front desk staff are very welcoming, toiletries are self-service, and there's a gym and complimentary tea available on the first floor.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is well located, the room was very clean, and most of staff were friendly. We also enjoyed the convenience of the hotel’s delivery robot. The room was a little smaller than expected, especially for two people with medium suitcases, but it was exactly as pictured, so maybe I should have known better. The main downside was breakfast. It was quite crowded and noisy. Western breakfast options were very limited, which was a little disappointing since they were mentioned in the hotel description.

The hotel is very close to the high-speed railway station, making travel extremely convenient. It's also close to the subway station with plenty of delicious food options nearby, making dining out very easy. Highly recommended to everyone, I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
