The environment is excellent, and the room is very clean and tidy. The only downside is that the door isn't very soundproof; you can hear people talking outside. It would be perfect if the soundproofing was better. Overall, it's still quite good.

The Langham's quality is consistently excellent, as always. From the moment you step in, the signature scent and the charming pink-themed amenities all reflect exceptional taste. The service is incredibly proactive and outstanding, making for an extremely comfortable stay. Sicily at the front desk was sweet and enthusiastic, helping us upgrade to a wonderful room type with excellent privacy. Located in the bustling Xintiandi, the location is incredibly convenient, yet the room itself is very quiet – a true hidden gem in the city. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are Diptyque. Breakfast is fresh with new items introduced weekly. Overall, I highly recommend it; if I'm on a business trip nearby again, I'll definitely choose to stay here.

Stumbled on this place and honestly, it's a keeper. Location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the French Concession, 3 mins from South Shanxi Road subway. That line gets you everywhere, so you're connected to the whole city without paying central tourist prices. What really got me was the outdoor patio. In expensive Shanghai, that's a flex. The whole lobby and dining area feel super cozy and homey—almost like a US-style social hub. I noticed 90% of the guests were non-Chinese, so if you're looking for an easy place to chat with other travelers, this is it. Rooms are clean, efficient, and have a fun, big design that makes the space feel bigger than it is. Breakfast is included and actually good—freshly made Chinese and Western options, so you don't have to hunt for coffee and eggs in the morning. Staff are genuinely friendly. They'll give you honest food recs and even help with delivery requests if you're ordering anything. Best value I've found in this location. Already planning my next trip back. Pro tip: Grab a coffee or tea on that patio in the morning —just like you would do that in your own house. Super relaxing and great vibe. Also ask the front desk which side of the building is quieter; they'll set you up away from any street noise. u

《A Leisurely Day at Donghu: Relax, Swim, and Savor》 Donghu Hotel offers elegant twin rooms that are warm and tranquil. The wooden floors, bathed in soft light, complement the clean and refined bathroom. A day spent here feels utterly relaxed and unhurried. Breakfast is simple yet nourishing. Warm soy milk soothes the stomach, while corn, sweet potatoes, and steamed buns provide ample carbs. Stir-fried seasonal vegetables, alongside braised meats and nuts, offer a balanced and wholesome meal, preparing you for the day ahead. In the afternoon, I headed to the hotel's pool for a refreshing swim. The crystal-clear water shimmered with ripples. Underwater, the water enveloped my body, stretching my shoulders and back, relieving the fatigue from prolonged sitting. Switching to breaststroke, the kicking and pulling stretched my core and limbs, my heart and lungs rising and falling rhythmically. Sweat dissipated with the water, washing away all my accumulated weariness. After my swim, I moved to ”Xiji Gangjiu” to try some Cantonese dim sum. Each dish was a delight. Garlic oysters are nourishing and rich in protein, while spring onion chicken replenishes vital energy. Fresh shrimp and coriander dumplings are light and appetizing. Beef balls with choi sum provide excellent protein and dietary fiber, and the two-tone water chestnut cake is delightfully sweet and refreshing. The combination of seafood, poultry, vegetables, and grains was well-balanced—fresh, not greasy, and wonderfully wholesome. A dip in the 'azure waters' stretched my muscles and bones, a 'Cantonese feast' nourished my body, and the elegant room provided a sanctuary for my mind. With a perfect blend of activity and rest, and nourishing food, a day of leisure at Donghu Hotel brought a deep sense of peace, relaxation, and freedom.

This hotel is located in the old Jing'an - Caojiadu area of the city center, with convenient transportation and multiple subway lines nearby. It's just a few minutes' walk to three commercial centers, offering plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. The front desk staff are incredibly responsive and accommodating, clearly indicating that the hotel invests in professional training. Finally, regarding the cleanliness of the bedding: the housekeeping staff do an excellent and thorough job. However, there's an issue with the bedding cleaning contractor, as the duvet wasn't clean.

This summer, I brought my partner and child to Shanghai, and once again, I instinctively chose Atour for our accommodation! I've always trusted Atour's quality, and this stay was another perfect experience – so comfortable and reassuring. I have to specifically praise the hotel's fantastic location. It's truly unbeatable! The hotel is practically next door to the trendy, artsy old streets of Julu Road, Changle Road, and Fumin Road. Step outside, and you're immediately on tree-lined boulevards, creating such a wonderful atmosphere. It's right next to the super popular Moller Villa, which was incredibly convenient for taking photos with the kids. No long treks needed; we could walk to all the popular attractions nearby, making it perfect for daily strolls, taking the kids out, and just wandering around. The convenience for getting around and sightseeing was top-notch. What truly satisfied our whole family was Atour's signature Naked Cotton bedding! The quality honestly surpasses many other hotels. It's a pure, eco-friendly cotton fabric that's incredibly breathable – not stuffy or heavy, just wonderfully soft and cozy against the skin. There are no fancy extra materials, so the little one slept soundly without kicking off the covers. Our entire family had such a restful sleep every night. Overall, the hotel environment is clean and tidy, the service is thoughtful and attentive, the location is superb, and the comfort of the bedding is simply impeccable. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with family, this Atour is an excellent choice. It never disappoints, and it will definitely be my first pick again when I return to Shanghai!

The Garden Hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a large garden, a fountain, and a stunning spiral staircase. It's a new building constructed on the former site of the French Club, giving it a real sense of history. The breakfast is very Japanese-style, and the service is good. The only issue is that check-in was incredibly slow. I went at 11 AM and the room wasn't ready. Then, when I went back at 3 PM to check in, it took about 40-50 minutes of queuing, which was quite a long wait. This is definitely something they could improve.

This is a serviced apartment with a fantastic location. It's right across the street from Xintiandi and the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shopping malls and restaurants nearby, perfect for those who love to shop. The hotel staff were warm and friendly, always ready to help. Upon check-in, I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was very spacious and included a kitchen and living room. It was fully equipped with an oven, microwave, induction hob, sterilizer, and washing machine (though I didn't get to use them all). The 2-meter king-size bed had a mattress that was just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the high-floor street view was also excellent. On the downside, the bathroom facilities were a bit dated, with a non-smart toilet and a seat without soft-close hinges. The sink also drained slowly. Plus, there were some oversights in the cleaning; I actually found a T-shirt left by a previous guest on the back of a chair! I only stayed for one day, so I didn't get to experience the other hotel amenities. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel!

Choosing this hotel for our trip to the Wutong District in Shanghai was a brilliant decision! It's an oasis of calm despite being in a bustling area. We were right on Huaihai Road commercial street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The room was clean and cozy, and the newly replaced mattress was incredibly comfortable. The private bathroom had a great wet-dry separation and no unpleasant smells, and the complimentary toiletries were high quality. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive, and luggage storage was very convenient. To get this kind of location and quality at this price point is truly exceptional value for money.

I chose this Light Inn for my trip to Shanghai, and it was a real gem! The location is absolutely fantastic – the subway station is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to The Bund, Yu Garden, and Nanjing Road either by walking or taking the subway. Getting around was a breeze. The hotel really impressed me with its attention to detail: the lobby has a self-service hydration station with unlimited cucumber-lemon water and grapefruit tea, which was so refreshing and photogenic. The bathroom in the room had Jo Malone toiletries, and the shower pressure was excellent, making for a really comfortable shower experience. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-lit, with a soft bed that ensured a good night's sleep. They also provided individually packaged, high-quality bath towels, which felt great and showed a real commitment to guest comfort. 👍 The front desk service was gentle and attentive. The overall decor is minimalist and chic, with an elegant atmosphere. For a downtown hotel, the value for money is truly exceptional. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Shanghai!

My friends and I, each with our little ones, decided to travel to Shanghai. We booked this guesthouse as a last-minute alternative after cancelling our original hotel (because the beds were too small). We initially chose it simply because it was close by and we didn't want the hassle of moving again. After checking in, we discovered it truly embodied the essence of Shanghai. The house is located in a small, old-style apartment building in a lane, resembling an architectural masterpiece from the last century. Inside, the two bedrooms are spacious, there's an open kitchen, and the entire house has old wooden floors. The Ming and Qing dynasty furniture adds a touch of antique charm. It's also very convenient, with the subway station right across from the complex. Huaihai Road is just a short walk away, and there's also the architecturally distinctive Guotai Cinema – fantastic! The manager even extended our check-out time by two hours, and her prompt and thoughtful response was very considerate. A truly hidden gem of a guesthouse! [Thumbs up]

I booked this hotel for my foreign friend. I looked at a lot of places, and ultimately a guesthouse seemed to be the best value. It had bunk beds, which is a style my foreign friends usually like. The host was also very welcoming and even let us switch to a room where we could stay together for two nights. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes guesthouses and wants to be close to the subway.

Came to Shanghai for a performance and stayed at One Lemon again! The location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is incredibly, incredibly clean – truly a five-star standard. Due to a typhoon, my high-speed train was canceled, and I couldn't go home, so I extended my stay for another night through the mini-program. However, when it was time to switch rooms, there wasn't a clean one available. A huge shout-out to the front desk staff (the brother and sister who helped me)! They upgraded me to a double bunk bed for free. I was so touched! I'm going to love One Lemon forever! Will definitely be back next time!

The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by trendy spots in Shanghai, which creates a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and even upgraded my room. It's been raining a lot recently, so the duvet felt a bit damp, and the bath towels are quite old and really need replacing.

This accommodation is in a very nice area. There are many cafés and vintage stores within walking distance, and it’s well connected to public transportation. I was able to reach two different metro stations in less than 10 minutes on foot. I asked the owner for an early check-in, and he gave me a room that was already ready. Upon arrival, a lady at the hostel welcomes you, and you need to add the owner on WeChat to complete the check-in process. My room had a small private balcony and was very spacious and clean. The neighborhood is quiet at night, and all the windows have blackout curtains. I would recommend staying here.

My friend came to Shanghai for a visit and chose this hotel. Firstly, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the *Wutong District*, perfect for a Shanghai city walk. You can just step out and find picturesque spots and tons of great places to eat and drink – it's a blend of hustle and bustle and peaceful charm. Plus, most of Shanghai's attractions are within a 7-8 kilometer radius, which really saves on transportation costs! Secondly, the price was incredibly affordable. Thirdly, although the room wasn't huge, it was well-equipped with practical appliances and kept clean and tidy. The only minor thing is that there's a step down right at the entrance, so a warning strip would make it a bit safer! Overall, my friend had a wonderful experience. The room photos the hotel provided are pretty accurate, so I've just included a few shots of the surrounding walkable area...

Nice place to stay but there are a few things to be aware of. Like all places in China there is a registration system. We sent our passports to Andy who was able to do it for us. The neighbourhood feels very safe and has security at the front. All former mansions are subdivided into rooms which are then occupied by many people. As a result, you will share a front door and some of the corridor. Because of this, the rooms are rather close together which meant in the morning you would often hear people cooking, talking etc. and in evening you might hear a bit of snoring. All together it wasn’t bad and it felt more local. The room itself was pretty well equipped and had two large areas for the upstairs and downstairs. We enjoyed the projector and kitchen. The bathroom’s water pressure/shower head was a little weak and often got a little flooded as we were given disposable linen. The disposable bedsheets were fine but the towels were not really absorbent. The location was probably the nicest aspect. It was nice and uniquely shanghai unlike staying in the newer parts of town.
